Juliette moved through the quiet village. She loved her hometown. Serene, quiet and uneventful; much like her. Juliette was interesting but, being a woman, she was taught to suppress her individuality. She was condemned to wear the same dull colours on her gown, the same bland hair tied into an elaborate bun, and the same husband she had been promised to so many years ago. Being the daughter of the King, Juliette had her husband picked out many years before it had even been relevant to think of men, therefore, her was nearly ten years older than Juliette, who was only 19 and at her prime. Juliette didn't mind the age gap, what she minded was the fact that she couldn't pick for herself.

Today, Juliette had her dark brown hair put into a high bun. She refused to wear the elaborate wigs that had been made for her, and only wore them on special occasions like balls. Since today was nothing special, she just kept her hair the way it was. She longed to undo the ribbon and let it flow past her shoulder blades, but she knew it would be 'improper' of her to do such a thing, so she left it alone. Her dark eyes and pale face would have been beautiful with a satin blue dress, but instead were marred by the red-brown gown she was forced to wear. Her mother had refused to let her have any say in the design of her dress, so her ideas about a higher hem and visible corset were ignored.
Instead, her hemline reached the floor, and her waistline was unrecognisable under the loose material that didn't complement her figure in any way. The colours of the dress were plain ugly. White and brown-red clashed and washed out her already pale face.

So, understandably, Juliette was in a foul mood. She wandered the various stalls, not bothering to make small talk or be courteous to those who bowed before her if they recognised her. She was simply tired of her boring, quiet life.

Uriel had been planning this for a long time. Many years ago his best friend – the King had promised his beautiful daughter away to another man. This had infuriated Uriel; though he had not let anyone know of his jealousy. Instead he waited and planned, abusing and using the palace servants in secret while Juliette grew up into an even more beautiful woman. She was to be married off by the end of the year now, and Uriel knew his time was running out. If he wanted the girl all for himself he'd just have to take her.

So when he discovered that she had gone off to the village to browse the merchant stalls, Uriel went out to find her. He had the perfect plan – one that he had come up with several years ago and could only now put it into motion. He quickly went to the Market place, and upon finding the Princess – she did stick out with everyone bowing to her, he followed her, waiting for her to get to the right spot. He wasn't wearing the rich clothing that suited his rank as second in command of the kingdom, instead he was wearing simple villagers clothing, a tunic, cloth pants and a leather belt with a pair of stout boots. Unless anyone knew him personally no one would recognize him.

Soon enough the Princess got to the spot he needed her to be in. Rushing forward Uriel came to her side. “Princess, don't ask questions, there are assassins here, after you.” He wrapped his arm around her slim waist and began guiding her out of the market and towards one of the nearby homes. If the Princess looked up she would be able to recognize him. Shaggy dark hair, cold blue eyes, six-foot two. He had known her pretty well her entire life; despite his different clothing she would recognize and trust him.

Quickly enough they arrived at the house he had been guiding her too. The door was unlocked and Uriel pushed her inside before closing the door behind him, the lock clicking. He had hired a master locksmith, who had put a special lock on the door – one that needed a combination to unlock. He also had all the walls thickened, so no sound could enter or escape. The Princess was trapped, inside, with him. She wouldn't be the first pet he played with inside the home, but she certainly would be the most enjoyed.

Quickly, change your appearance so you can hide better. Let your hair hang loose, and take the dress off. I think there is something better for you to wear in one of the bedrooms.” He was still playing that there were assassin's after her – he would soon let her know the truth, but for the moment he wanted to see if he could get her to strip without having to force his hand. He wondered if the Princess would notice that Uriel wasn't anxious at all, instead of watching out the window his blue eyes were lecherously watching her.

Juliette was inspecting an apple with little curiosity when Uriel took her waist. She gasped in surprise, but his familiar voice brought a smile to her lips. His words however, frightened her. She gripped the hand that was around her waist, and let him guide her through the thin crowd of people. Taking one look at his face, she managed to calm herself. She knew he wouldn't harm her.

As they entered the house, she resisted the urge to ask him to explain, but his words rang in her ears. 'Princess, don't ask questions, there are assassins here, after you.' She feared for her family instantly.

She nodded after he told her what to do, and couldn't help but be happy that she could finally remove the revolting dress. She moved to the nearest door, and shut it behind her. She almost immediately let her hair down and shed the dress. She looked around and located a set of drawers. As she riffled through the drawers, she was taken aback by the kinds of clothes she found. Tight, lacy underwear and fabrics like silk. She felt herself blush at them. She kept looking until she found something decent. A short dress that reminded her of a nightgown, only thinner.
