Isabelle Rowland was new to the daycare scene. She had just graduated from college with a degree in early childhood education the year before and after have two or three jobs at restaurants in the area, she had found a daycare which was looking for another after school assistant. Naturally, she jumped on the chance. Isabelle was only 27 years in age with strawberry blond hair and eyes the colour of the Pacific ocean. Many could claim to see their reflection in her light aqua coloured eyes while others didn't dare look her in the eye, given the light and almost frightening colour they had.

But the children she worked with never seemed to mind. She had been at the daycare for only a week yet nearly every child seemed to love her and sang praises of her to their parents when they were picked up. But despite hearing about the parents, the woman never came out to greet them when the parents came to pick up their children. She never felt the need and there were always things inside to clean up. She left that to the other teachers there to speak and greet the parents.

Isabelle looked over when Nathan came into the room and greeted him with a smile. She watched the man as he crossed to his children and started over. "Have everything you brought?" she asked the children before their father could whisk them again. One advantage to work with kids, they were a great ice breaker to talk to other people. "This is your father?" she continued, glancing up at Nathan with a sweet, kind smile.

"Isabelle," she responded, shaking the man's hand in return. "Yes, I'm the new teaching assistant Gilda just hired." She smiled, folding her hands in front of her and glancing down at the two children. "Your children are two of the best here," he informed him, before her eyes met Nathan's again. "They haven't said a whole lot about you though. Typically the other children are always talking about parents." It wasn't a bad thing, but Isabelle was curious as to what kind of father they had and why he was rarely mentioned.

Isabelle paused, stunned that she had even dared to bring that up. How stupid of her. She nodded though and waved. "See you two tomorrow," she said as a parting before returning to the clean up she had already started.

Isabelle was outside in the morning, speaking with Gilda, the owner of the daycare. The younger woman was holding onto a a bag with a box propped on her hip, talking about another activity the two women were planning for the day. Gilda spotted Nathan as he approached with his children and waved to him with a smile, which caused Isabelle to turn slightly to look who it was. She smiled at the sight of the man and waved a bit with her bag weighted hand.
