Welcome to the pack life.
Your either a part of the pack, or a human slave.
Humans as slaves, you question?
Why yes I didn’t misspell. These aren’t your average pack of wolves you see,
They originated from another area not far from here where the mothers and fathers of the now generation were genetically altered to create much smarter animals.
They were able to use tools, though that only consisted of what they could carry in there teeth, they even used a complex strategy to break out of there cages. Thus leading to there wonderful escape.
Though the original test subjects had not passed, there pups had grown to be just as them and possibly even better. They were able to bond a mental link with each other, though they could never trust humans.
They live like a regular pack of wolves, but whenever a human gets too curious about them they become suspicious and won’t allow that human to leave. Whether they kill the human depends on how to human reacts and what the alpha thinks.
If the human is relentless and a risk to there pack, chances are that human becomes dog chow.

And for the humans that aren’t a risk (mostly females) they choose to use them for non-mating sexual pleasure, though they haven’t quite figured out whether or not they can in pregnant the humans they mate with, they don‘t bother much with it.
The enhanced wolves are also bigger then an average wolf, aiding them in dominating the humans as well.
When the humans become tame enough and trustworthy they’ll even give jobs, most include watching over pups and other small tasks.

All of this goes the same for the female wolves though they may or may not be less determined towards the humans.
In this pack a recent sadness came over the pack, during the last winter there alpha male went for a hunt and never came back, leaving the alpha female alone.
A position for alpha male has opened and the one to take it will either have to prove it to the pack or take the position and show the pack whose boss.

The rule for this roleplay are simple, follow them and nothing bad shall happen to you. Choose to disobey and a 1 warning will be issued. You only get one so be wise, my friends.

①. Don't god mod, Mary-sue/ Gary-stu, or auto hit. You are not a god in this roleplay and neither am I. (Even if you are a genetically enhanced wolf) You can still get hurt as much as you can do damage.

②. If you choose to be a wolf, you still have the physical make up of one which means no you cannot walk on two legs (That would be creepy to find one that could) and you cannot hold a gun or any other weapon in your hands/paws. Though you do have more movement in your paws then a normal wolf. (You can use your claws to climb a tree, open cages, ext.)

③. If you are a human, you can fight back. Violence is encouraged but just remember you have just as much chance of hurting one of those wolves as they do to you.

④. I'm not asking you to be an author, but please have basic common sense, a decent writing capability and speak the english language and not make me even have the slightest thought otherwise. Spelling mistakes are fine but if you type something like "Scar don't have nothing for lunch" then I don't know what went wrong in school for you.
You also must post at least once every two days and type at least three lines, its not hard to put in a little detail.

⑤. Don't be rude or a jerk outside of the roleplay, though drama is also much influenced inside of it. ^_^

River was- ironically- sitting by a small stream, lapping up the fresh water as a cool spring breeze rolled in from the east. Her emotions were at rest for the time being but recently she had regretted to be around the pack more often due to recent events that left her alone for most of her free time when she wasn't dealing with the occasional traveler problems and other such issues that seemed to drown the group every so often.
The mixed auburn colored alpha wolf refreshed herself before turning her head back towards the general direction of her wolf pack in which she was left to have say over.
Many times she has pondered over the thought of simply running away, going all lone-wolf status that they encountered from time to time.
It was Taboo to them, being what they were of course.
They were strange to regular wolfs, and humans were often afraid of them, thus leaving them bonded by something not even those damned scientists could tear apart.

The thought of leaving was swimming in her mind more often though, leaving her with many doubts in herself. Leaders shouldn't even think of leaving their pack, it should of been out of the question.
It was getting harder and harder to reason with herself though for it seemed she no longer cared who took up the role as the next Alpha Male.
She also never really agreed on the human slaves. If it weren't for her fellow pack members they would of been gone a long time ago.
Though even if her judgment had rule over that matter what would she do?
Have them killed?
She couldn't kill them, it wasn't in her moral standards to do such a thing.

When she concluded that her pondering had ceased she turned, her tail swinging but remaining still as she padded back in the direction of the small area the pack had migrated to.

Altair was still young and full of life. He enjoyed the pack and he enjoyed life and was for the most part optimistic about the pack's situation. They could move on in their lives they were smarter then the average wolf all they needed was a good leader. Altair of course thought he would be great as the Alpha and he even got some support from other wolves. So that was the cause of the loud barking and howling now. Altair was down to his last opponent. He met some resistance in his rise to take up position as Alpha and he needed to prove himself. He came too far to just back down now he had been fighting wolves one after another to prove his worth so he was already at a disadvantage. He was even bleeding a little. His golden eyes gleamed with anticipation. He circled the other wolf snarling and even snapping at him trying to bait him into attacking first.

But Altair didn't have to wait long because as soon as he taunted him the wolf came charging at him. Altair took a firm stance looking like he was going to take it head on and at the last second jumped to the side as the wolf pounced. Altair's opponent was thrown off guard and it was enough for Altair to turn and grab the wolf by his scruff in his jaws. He turned back pulling the poor sap with him and flipped him onto his back. He pressed a paw to his chest and closed his mouth around his neck breathing hard. The wolf under Altair whimpered signaling that he was submitting. Altair released his neck and turned his head to the sky. He spotted River coming back into the clearing and he made eye contact. His future mate was walking back into the clearing. He howled long and loud to let his victory be known to all in the area. The pack followed his lead accepting him as their leader. After he finished howling he looked back to River wondering if she accepted him as her mate and Alpha.

The young Alpha Female was a bit startled to hear the rather loud barking and snarling coming from the pack. Though most of the howls were urging and encouraging, the snarls did not sound at all friendly.
This could of been just a regular rustle between pack members, a feud over game or territory.
Usually she wouldn't care much about it, her pack members should know better but with everything that had been occurring, River couldn't take the smallest of chances.

Running through the brush she saw the ending of the fight, Altair- one of the nominees for Alpha- had another of the pack regulars by the neck and on the ground.
Her ears flattened, she had no idea how fast the make-shift trials had gone by, it seemed just yesterday that-
She pushed those thoughts out of her mind and looked towards Altair as the other wolf gave in. His eyes seemingly to immediately find hers. It was almost intimidating as the feelings overwhelmed her, not entirely sure just how this would affect her. She looked away only to break the heated gaze, walking over to the scene where both wolves now sat bloodied and beaten. The lesser seemingly more so than the other. River's stature was to help her pack, and while Altair was gaining moral by the other wolfs she passed him by with but a glance.
She dipped her head down to the beaten member of the pack and licked his muzzle, nudging him to stand. None of them were seriously hurt which she was thankful for. The male wolf stood and held his head down low. River acknowledged him with a nod before turning to Altair. Still quite unsure of what to do. If he truly was the successor than she guessed it wasn't really up to her.

The Alpha female looked him over, like the other he was still bloody but whether it was hit or not was unknown.
Her head was now held high as she padded over to Altair, circling him and examining him carefully. She couldn't lie, he was a strong, attractive wolf.
He had proven himself worthy and she was sure he'd be a perfect mate and yet...
In the heat of the moment she felt it was too much pressure to decide for herself as of now/

Altair stood proud after his win he'd proven himself in strength and power in dominance. He'd proven himself to be useful in defending the pack. He just needed to prove himself to be a great leader unfortunately he could only do that with Rivers approval. He didn't want to take an empty throne that wasn't the type of leadership that made good alphas. He watched as she began to approach him he sat and controlled his breathing. He didn't want to be panting all over her when she came over. He sat on his haunches and sat proud but he looked forward. Sitting still he just looked forward as she came to look at him. He didn't even look down as she passed by him only glancing he showed no signs of being tired of being hurt. He stayed strong and firm and she came back to examine him.

He felt excited inside and his confidence was booming but he didn't show it on the outside. He just waited for either her approval or denial. It all meant nothing if she didn't accept him as alpha and as her mate. They wouldn't be a pair and they could stand stronger as a pair than apart in his eyes. He could feel her anxiety though and it pained him to feel her so conflicted.

Snow was off walking around just out side of River's Territory. She soon grew hungry and the sent of prey with wolfs drew her in. She knew they might not be friendly but she was lonely so she risked it.

River knew if she just walked away that would make her seem weak in the eyes of her followers, the same reaction would occur if she said no. Though as easily as she could of said no, Altair could have just taken his place by force.
One of the male wolfs tried doing that, even got one of his friends to help out and stand guard as he slipped into her area of the cave. He ended up quickly leaving with a bitten paw and the new job title as scrapper.

River finally stopped circling him and sat down in front of him. He was bigger than her, had the build of a fighter and yet his eyes were the most striking part about him. River had never really gotten to know him personally and doubted even if he cared to. Status is everything to a wolf pack. It decides who eats first, where the pack moves and eventually how the pack does.
It also got you respect and that's something everyone wants.

Her ears laid back and the inevitable decision was made. Her head lowered in a sign of respect and the she-wolf stood, rubbing past him affectionately, her tale brushing just under his chin as she walked towards the den.
River concluded that this relationship would consist of a mutual beneficiary system where in turn of not having to make all the decisions of the pack she would provide him with however many pups he desired to have.
Her tail still hung low as she walked, she didn't feel it was necessary to brief him on the position. He should know full well on what it entitled.

Obsidian sat up in bed, as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She glanced at the clock, and had forgotten the reason of her awakening. She was about to go back to sleep when she heard howling in the distance. Her eyes filled with fascination, perhaps curiosity, as she rolled from her bed. She felt the cool wood beneath her feet as she slid into
her slippers and keeping on her light blue night
gown she slipped into the night.

She looked around the sleeping town, she should have been asleep but her mind seem to forbid any thought of sleep as thoughts of adventure filled her mind.

She slid across the carpet of grass and roots as she made her way into the forest. It was dark put and she knew she may get lost but she also knew the wolves were close. And her curiousity carried her deeper into the forest.

Altair waited patiently as River continued to circle him. He showed no agitation and no impatience to finally be Alpha it was a sign of poor character. Besides times were tough and he couldn't just expect River to just jump on her decision right away so he sat there still looking forward. It wasn't until she stopped in front of him that he even moved. When she stopped and laid her ears back he finally moved his head and looked down at her. His golden eyes looked over her as she accepted him as her Alpha and mate. When she brushed up against her he actually leaned into it a little.

He personally had deep feelings before for his now mate and partner. He admired her strength and just about everything else about her. But he didn't have the time to get to know her personally he had a role in the pack. Many of the wolves looked to him for guidance, training, and leading hunts. But now he would spend more time with her now he could know her on a personal level and not from afar. He turned and followed her to the den and he caught up to her rubbing against her affectionately like she had before. He licked her muzzle as well growling softly. But the wind blew in and two scents caught him by surprise and he stopped two different things were entering their territory at once. Taking another inhale he could smell the difference one was a wolf and one was human. "We've got two problems I'm gonna go check on it."

Snow made her way slowly across the grass and kept her head held high checking the air for scents. She soon picked up human and this worried her a bit but she would deal with that later right now she had to deal with the wolfs of this area for one vs a pack was not odds in her favor. She would not fight them instead she would see about joining their pack. She found the stream and went and got a nice long drink for it had been a bit sense she had water. She also know its been a bit sense she ate for her stomach growled at her telling her she was hungry. She deared not hunt thou at least not in till it was okay for trying to hunt in anther packs territory would surely mean bad news for her.

She stepped further into the forest as she stopped in a mossy clearing. She slid off her slippers as her toes curled around the moss. As some of her curiosity went down, she looked around. The trees cast shadows making it even more darker out and she tried to find the way she had come into the forest. She cringed back, only seeing twisted roots and branches. She shrugged she would merely wait for sunrise to come. She made slow circles in the clearing as she cherished the feeling of the moss beneath her feet.

River was a bit caught off guard by Altair's show of affection. In any other cases she would of snapped at him, and her jaws flexed to do so before she remembered just who Altair was now. Her muscles relaxed and returned the nudge. Actually finding it quite nice to be this close to him before she also caught the scents that made her hackles rise.
Human and a stray she-wolf.
Both in different directions so it was obvious he wouldn't be able to handle them both.
"I'll handle the stray." She said simply trotting out of the den with a little more excitement than before.
She looked back to get another look at Altair before stopping and motioning for him to go with a bark.
This was his first duty as Alpha male.

The auburn colored wolf turned her deep caramel colored eyes back to the direction she was headed and bounded through the brush towards the stray. Hopefully there wouldn't be much commotion, probably just a regular wolf away from their own pack. But because it was a female mainly made her want to go instead of Altair. Male wolves could sometimes be convinced by other female wolves.

Obsidian jumped a bit when a breeze started up and she thought she heard just faintly a bark. She shook her head, shaking off the thought. She looked around the clearing again, as she sat down against a tree. She took her long, thick black hair and begin to braid it as she hummed a soft tune to comfort herself with.

She wouldn't admit it of course but she was a bit scared of the dark and shadowed forest around her. She remembered the tales her parents had told her and she had heard the howling and barking. She hummed a bit louder as she braided her hair. Feeling some comfort so remained sitting.

Snow picked up a scent of a she wolf coming her way. She did not run but instead she laid down by the stream and watched the fish swim in it. She licked her lips at the mere sight of food but remained put right were she is. She looked in the direction of the scent to keep from giving in to her hunger. She hoped that when the wolf came upon her laying down she would fight for she would take the position as a wolf merely wanting peace. She could only hope in this matter.

Her eyes widen slightly as she heard the snap of a twig. She looks around frantically as she sees a rabbit hop into the clearing. She let's out a sigh of relief as she stands up finished with braiding her hair.

She turns and looks up at the large, sparsely beached Redwood tree as she smiles. She quickly scrambles up the tree as she gets to the highest branch and plops down on it.

She smiles relieved, at least shed be safe up here.

Altair was about to handle the source of the odd scents but he was contemplating on how he could handle both alone. But he wanted to relieve as much from River's work load as possible. He figured he would handle the human first since it held the greatest threat at the moment. But before he could head out she stopped him saying she would take care of half of the problem. He couldn't find anything wrong with that he nodded and took off. On his way he spotted two wolves one male and one female and he stopped him. "Keep an eye on my mate. Her life is your life if she comes to harm I'm holding you responsible. Make the pack proud and make sure our alpha does not come to harm."

He looked them in the eye briefly and then took off again. He was closing in on the scent and he wasn't too far off by now. He pushed himself to run faster and get there before the pack could have come to harm. He zipped through the trees and over logs with grace and ease. He felt he was right on top of the source of the scent and slid to a halt. He scented the air and it led his nose up until he was looking up at a human female. Now this was a treat a female had come into their territory and she was trapped up in a tree with nowhere to escape to. Unfortunately Altair couldn't let the woman go the humans for the most part stayed away from here. Which meant she had a purpose for coming.

The auburn she-wolf let out a long howl, a warning to the threat and also notified Altair as well as anyone else that she had reached her destination. Her sleek figure aided her to slip through branches, tight squeezes and her light weight allowed her to jump from cliff to cliff if necessary. As she ran her claws dug into the ground, she was sure she'd be able to climb a tree if she ever needed to, but never tried. Sometimes the young pups tried and it was hell to get them back down because they hadn't known how to get back down.
River was quick, with her heart pounding hard in her chest she jumped over a fallen tree and skidded to a stop in front of the stream which with the sun set had gained a certain danger about it. The sharp rocks and current seemingly more feral as some splashed up in places. If a wolf were to fall in at night, whether they would be able to get out would be unknown. The river takes what it wishes and only it decides if your life is spared or not.
In the day it's gentle, calm, and provides sustenance.
The night proved it to be the exact opposite.
Her caramel colored eyes seemed to gain a striking appearance to them that in the moon light, made them have the slightest tint of red. Matching her pelt.

Her head lifted high, taking in the other scents around her. Usually the scents would be carries away by the river, though she was able to tell from this that the wolf hadn't crossed the river and they were smart not to do so. They would risk their life if they had.
Laying low she weaved through the tall trees that over looked the stream before spotting a creature that stood out quite a bit in this warm weather.
A mass of white fur lay next to the roaring river, the sound of it would drown out any sound.
Stalking toward the wolf, a low growl erupted from her throat and her lips curved over her bright white fangs. She only let out one warning bark to the she-wolf.

Snow listened to the warning bark and then she stood up. in the moonlight her fur seemed to glow. she looked in the direction the sound came from her pretty green eyes also brighter in the moonlight.

she knew she was trapped but she did not have much fear. she threw her head back and let out a howl of her own. she was telling the she wolf she came in peace and in no way was she trying to take over. She hoped her howl worked and the other wolf would not attack her . she wanted to meet this she wolf.

She looked around as she heard a rushing sound through the trees, her eyes widened as she stood up on the tree branch. She looked around the clearing and then as she heard a growl, she looked down. She saw a massive wolf, and a small squeak of fright comes from her as she whispered so it is true. She felt her curiousity dwindling being replaced by fear she had always thought the tales to.be nothing but myth.

As she realized she was stuck in a tree, she begin to plot how to get away. She wanted to ask him questions. Obsidian's curiousity hadn't been satisfied. She hugged the tree as she swung around the backside and scrambled down.

As obsidian reached the ground she peeked around the tree at the wolf. She asked, staying behind the tree in case she had to bolt. "What are you? Your not a wolf cause your bigger and I've heard tales of you, warnings about you?"
