Alonya wandered stoically through the quiet town, body hidden beneath a thick, black cloak. Her coven mates Vladlena and Oscar were also silent.
It would do them no good to cause a ruckus their first night of holing up here. There were plenty of hunters around here, and they were quite a nuisance.
"Where is the safe house?" Oscar asked Alonya, a bit of worry on his face.
"Three streets down, there will be candles in the window lit for us" she answered with a firm tone.
Once they made it to the house, Alonya reached out and knocked once on the door. She could hear the scurrying of feet behind the slab of wood, and it opened only slightly to reveal a gray haired man with spectacles.
"Ah, its you. I'm so glad to see you've arrived, please, do come in" he answered, before pulling it open and gesturing for them to enter.
The three vampires slipped inside noiselessly, gravitating towards the warm fire, as the slipped their cloaks off. The man took the cloaks and hung them, before turning back to them.
"Thank you for your hospitality" Alonya stated gently, her pewter gray eyes showing warmth. She was a thin slip of a woman, not over 5'4 inches, with a finely boned structure, delicate arms, lady like hands, and a generous swell of breasts beneath her corseted top. She wore her platinum blonde hair long and loose, it fell to her hips in shimmering ripples.
Oscar was a stout man, with meaty arms, and a face that was intimidating in the least. He had steel colored eyes, thick, black eyebrows and hair that was nearly pitch in color. He stood at an eyebrow raising 7 feet, and weighed a solid 250lbs of pure muscle.
The last of their group was Vladlena, a tall, willowy woman with coffee colored hair that she wore in a loose plait down her back, and eyes that matched her hair. She was a lithe beauty, with expressive eyes and a sharp tongue.
"How are things here Demitri?" Vladlena asked, referring to the state of vampire affairs.
"Dismal" he began tiredly. "The hunters are being very thorough about cleaning this place out of vampires... They don't care which coven they come from... They hate all creatures of the night" he sighed.
Alonya shook her head, finding it hard not to fault the hunters. Some of her kind were blood thirsty and violent, but they found no refugee among st the 'Aristocrats'. They were viewed as lower then mud, and ignored entirely.
She had no qualms with the hunters killing those who killed out of thrill instead of necessity... What she was angered by was the fact that innocent vampires were losing their lives in this 'witch' hunt.
There was also the fact that any rogue vampire could expose the species weakness and hidden locations, out of spite or fear... She wouldn't have that.

Delshyk Tion, leader of the 235th hunter regiment, led his team of four down the dark streets of the city. His compact rifle lay in an intrument case, as did the rest of the group. They were known to the everday humans as wandering musicians, to vampires they were simply wanderers. They kept their reputation well hidden. Delshyk pulled his dark green windbreaker closer to his lithely built body. He stood at an unimposing 5' 8~, which made him the shortest of the group. He had raven black hair, which partially hid his sky blue eyes. He carried a trumpet case, which held his precious M16. His team was made of one woman and two other men. Kyshek, the woman, was 6' 4~, and although she wore baggy clothing, hints of the luscious body underneath could be seen. Her hazel eyes never missed a detail. Her hair was a fiery red. She carried a violin case, filled with varying sizes of knives.Truman, the demo and ballistics expert of the team was a well built man, weighing a good 236 lbs. of muscle. Most of his bulk though came from the armor he wore underneath his street clothes. He carries a Bass case, which concealed a numerous amount a SMG's, and his Solaris rifle. And then there's Jack, the most peculiar of the group. Found after a raid on another rogue coven in the basement, Jack has the ears of a red fox, which means he can hear a pin drop in the busy streets of New York from 150 meters away. His face looks normal, with brown eyes and dirty-blonde hair. He stands at 6' 3~, and is built a little heavier than Delshyk. This man is a master of stealth and deception, and can hide anywhere, for an indefinite amount of time. He carried a saxaphone case, containig the base and attachments for the Lynx-SU sniper rifle. Delshyk squinted as he saw three cloaked figures enter a building. Nothing out of the ordinary. Could be a family visit. He shook his head, eyeing the candles. Three candles. He squinted, wondering if it was a signal. With a swift movement, he stopped his group.
