At 29 the 6 foot, 190Lb Bob Wallace was all cowboy. His wedge shaped muscular torso filled out his tee shirt and levis well, and his white hat set squarely on his sandy hair, his blue eyes shining. His guitar was slung over his shoulder as he walked the festival looking for a good jam. The sweet clear sound of a woman's voice called him to him as she sang the sad country song sweetly while the gathered musicians each played their part. He paused to listen a minute, and then unslung his guitar, and joined the jam with a blistering riff. he smiled at her in admiration as she continued the song.

At the young age of nineteen, she was still gathering her courage to attain such a big dream. Being a professional singer. It was far out of her reach. But when it came to singing for just the fun of it. It didn't matter. Thus coming to the music festival. Just like the festival, she loved all the music of a southern bell. But also that jams of pop artists around the nation. Though her love for slower meaningful songs, had to go to country. Microphone gripped in both hands, her curvacious body gave off shy body language. Her hazel eyes shined with the passion for both the emotions in the song. And also the love for singing. Like a siren, her voice attracted onlookers and musicians alike. Flashing a smile at the crowd she still couldn't shake her shy nature. Though her round hip bopped to the slow beat of the song. Her long, curly chocolate brown hair had been tied back in a ribbon, it ran down to the small of her back, swaying with the sound of the music. Though it wouldn't be like that for long. When a faster jam came up, she would take it out. As musicians joined her little jam the crowd seemed even more interested. People must have wondered her name? Every musician there wore a sticker with their name on it. Her's in curly cursive letters read. Isabelle Evans. A small little thing, only at 130 pounds, and standing tall at 5'3. As her voice copied the emotions of what the song was meant for. Having lost love, but still searching for that right one. The sound of a loud riffing guitar made her look back over her shoulder. Still singing, her eyes laid upon a man, he was smiling at her. Reminding her of one of the real life cowboys. Flashing a sweet smile back, she found herself wanting to keep her eyes there. But as a singer, she needed to face her crowd.

Bob finished his riff and returned to the rhythm line, as he listened to the tiny woman's impressive voice, and enjoyed the sway of her curvy figure to the music. There were lots of instrumentalists at the festival but few vocalists, and even few as attractive as she was. As they continued to play and she finished her song , he stepped up behind her, and introduced him self. "That was mighty pretty singing" he said. " My name is Bob, Bob Wallace, would you care to join me for a drink after the set ends?"

He smiled broadly and tipped his hat, turning on as much country charm as he could. "Mighty pretty singing." he said repeating himself for emphasis. Bob lead off the next song with a guitar solo, and nodding to her gave her a big smile as he waited for her entrance.

As she finished her solo, she motioned the the musicians behind her. Letting the audience cheer to their pleasure. Though distracted by all the sound, she was startled by the deep voice behind her. Turning around, she found it to be the handsome cowboy with the talented guitar skills. His name suited him, she wasn't sure why, it just fit. With a sweet smile, her brown eyes shining, she answered back with a musical, alto like voice. "Why thank you Sir." Unlike him, she didn't have a handsome accent to compliment her voice. But many were sure she didn't need it. Like her singing voice, her plain old voice held charm, laced with grace and poise. "Isabelle Evans." She said back as she listened to his request. Blushing shyly for a second. Knowing she was much too young to drink. But at the same time, couldn't say no to this man. Nodding, she winked. "Sounds like a plan." She chimed as she went back to her microphone. Giggling softly at the tip of his hat. Waiting for the lead off, she couldn't help but smile to herself. Knowing that guitar sound was him. This song was much more up beat and lifting. And her vocal chords handled the beginning well. Belting out her entrance with a voice as big as a country star themselves. Her voice had that sassy tone to it. Much like a country singer. With a smile back at him, she knew this was a two person song, and decided to turn around and sing it to the guitar player himself. Her voice was strong, but her body language was a bit shy. Especially her smile towards him.

Bob turned to face her, and share the microphone, as his deep baritone answered her in the words of the familiar song. As she continued he harmonized. The interaction of their voices gave him a feeling of satisfaction that he seldom felt even at a music festival. It was a wonderful intimate feeling, even in such a public setting. As the song transitioned to low and slow, he looked deep into her eyes, reflecting the intimacy of the words. As the song ended, their faces close together, he couldn't resist stealing a kiss to the delight of all those watching. It was the perfect ending to the song, but that's not why he had done it. The young woman had caught his ear first, and then his eye, and was about to steal his heart.

The song ended the set, and Bob on slung his guitar from his shoulder and placed it in the stand. Turning to Isabell he said "how about that drink, my campsite's just short ways away. I'll bet that hair of yours is just gorgeous when you set it free. I love long hair." As they walked to his campsite he offered her his hand. "Your voice tells me are not from around here." He said. "But part of the country takes credit for such a beautiful voice?"

His singing voice was what surprised her as she drew in closer. Singing with him was one of the best duets she had experienced in a long time. Hopefully she could do it again soon. Sadly their intimate little song came to an end, but not before the cowboy could steal a kiss from the aspiring young singer. At first she was just a bit shocked. Taken by surprise. But the warmth of his lips against hers, Isabelle closed her eyes. Accepting it shyly. Even if it was a bit spontaneous. Sometimes, life needed to be exciting. As they pulled away, their was the faintest hint of a rose blush on her tanner cheeks as she flt the whoops and hollers of the crowd bring her back to reality. Turning, she bowed. And motioned to her handsome duet partner with her hands. By this time, her voice needed a break. And the songbird like maiden felt herself quite compelled to follow this older cowboy. As he spoke in his deep voice, her lips quickly curled into a smile. Sweetly as she followed him. Something about this man, she felt her heart could trust him. As they walked through the festival and out to his campsite, she heard his comment about long hair. Wanting to please him sincerely, she slowly grabbed at her ribbon. Pulling it out to let her natural curls bounce against her shoulders. "Better?" She asked as her dainty hand was placed in his stronger, callused ones. A perfect fit. Even just meeting this charming cowboy. Looking up at him, she spoke. Remembering her home and when she left to pursue her new career and dream. "Midwest actually. The suburbs of the Windy City. City life wasn't suiting me much." Even if a singer needed to preform in cities. Something about the country was much more. Inspirational.

"Oh my! its lovely, he said of her hair as the pair reached his campsite. He unlocked his small travel trailer, and invited her in. As she sat at the table, he produced two glasses, and two shot glasses. What would you like ? he asked as he poured himself a beer and a shot of corn liquor. I've got beer, wine, corn liquor, and even some high class whiskey if you like, oh year and southern comfort." The trailer was small with a a full kitchen, a double bed, and a dining table, all in one room. I wasn't fancy but it was comfortable, and well stocked. The bed was made with flannel sheets and lambswool blankets, and big, soft, fluffy pillows. At the foot of the bed was a TV and DVD player. In one corner was a bathroom with a small shower. Comfortable camping. Outside was a fire ring, set with wood and ready to touch off. Laying across the bed was another fine guitar, this one a vintage Gibson.
