Along a small, inconspicuous dirt road, two carriages painted black traveled leisurely towards the barren lands of Obe'. Inside the back carriage, a young boy was sleeping inside, his head comfortably against the window. His light, gentle brown hair was shifted around his face, giving him a kind of pillow as he rested. He looked quite young, around the age of 15; he wore white and blue clothes that fit him nicely, though not they did not show whether or not he was muscular. The breathing was even, but it did not seem to effect his chest, as it was not rising or falling.

The carriage then rolled over a rock, jostling the carriage and startling the boy awake. His eyes snapped open, the color of his irises soft aquamarine. He glanced around, wiping away a bit of drool that had slipped down his chin. He then looked at an old man that was seated next to him, and smiled gently. "Are we almost there..?" he asked.

The man smiled and nodded, "Yes, Master Dirune. We are only two minutes away, it seems," he said, checking his pocket-watch to make sure of his assumption.

Daniel nodded, the smile vanishing as he then remembered what he was going to the Outlands for: a slave. Though his father and his two brothers insisted that it was for his own good, the young boy had his doubts about it. They apparently had several different types: guardians, maids, or the more commonly used... sex slaves. He shuddered at the thoughts, knowing that one of his brothers - Caine - bought sex slaves frequently.

The boy licked his lips, and sighed; he was getting hungry. "Do you have any food?" he asked the old man. The male rummaged through his bag, his eyes widening as he found it. The man brought out a bottle of dark red liquid, like blood...

It had been a month that she had been taken from her home, and been held captive. Today was the last night the he even considered putting her on sale or he'd kill the worthless girl. She was sent back the week before for not listening well to her master mainly it was fear she wasn't sure how all this was happening it was happening so fast. Rosalyn had heard the rumors tonight if she didn't get sold she'd be killed it wasn't going work out like she hoped. Purposely giving her last master a hard time to send her back she had it figured out she'd be bad the auctioneer would get tired and release her, then last night she heard her death was planned.

Tonight she'd have to beckon someone and get them to buy her or she was going to be ended tonight. Rosalyn had been sitting in the barred cage looking down at herself tonight they were going to sell her as three for one slave she'd be a guardian, maid, or sex slave their choice he wanted to be sure she sold tonight. Sighing a little when she heard footsteps she knew it meant that he was coming and all the others were chained behind him she was next. Standing up as a rattling sound could be heard, her hands and feet were shackled.

Walking to the cage Alejandro opened cage with a disgusted look "Come along." he growled as he yanked her chain hard almost making her fall as she scooted to the end and waited tonight she was to be one of the first auctioned and if not sold by first time, she'd be tried again at end. Hearing all the people in the audiences her heart raced quickly she hated this this would be the first time she'd be considered for a sex slave it was fearful for her.She could hear the auctioneer welcome everyone then mention he had a deal tonight.

"Tonight I have a young sixteen year old human girl, Hispanic origin, hair as black as night, eyes as blue as the clear sky.. She's going tonight as a three for one, the girl can be your guardian she may not look like much but she's proven to put up a fight against other creatures. Always there to please her master she'll make a very good maid, now another thing she can be sold as a sex slave also she will make sure her master always has a smile" he sneered as he turned to look at her pulling her chain to bring her on stage. "Everyone meet the dear Rosalyn.." he smiled brightly.

Rosalyn yelped as he pulled her onto the stage and looked around at everyone during the time that he had been speaking his minions if you could call them that had stripped her down to nothing but her bra and underwear as she stood there. Her arms around herself but knowing what was expected of her she swallowed hard moving her hands down to reveal herself to the crowd as she began to turn in a circle around letting them see her body as she tried to relax but her heart was pounding in her ears.

Dirune Schathlocke quickly grabbed the bottle and smiled greatly, "Thanks!" he exclaimed, opening the cap and placing it on his lips. The thick liquid began to pass his teeth when he heard a commotion up ahead. His eyes widened and looked out the window, curious about the noise. He flinched at the sand that threatened to get into his eyes. He growled and rubbed his eyes as the two carriages entered the area.

"Finally..." he muttered, remembering why he was there. Glancing at his servant, he slowly drank the rest of the bottle and sighed in pleasure. He licked his lips as he hid his mouth from view, feeling the familiar throbbing in his teeth. The carriage stopped, opening itself for Dirune and his servant. He hopped out, shielding himself from the sun. Luckily for him, it didn't hurt...

He then looked towards the other carriage, wondering when his father would exit the carriage... But no one did. Not surprised, Dirune shrugged and looked towards the stands, lined with heavy-steeled bars and inside, slaves of all races. He shuddered to think what had happened to all of them, and began to walk. His servant walked close behind as he waded through the thick crowds of slavers and buyers. As he walked past the cages, a few slaves ventured to reach out to him, but at the last moment drew back in fear.

He wondered why; looking towards the main deck where the auctioning was taking place. Dirune, in his nervousness, glanced ahead as they pulled another slave on stage. As her description was given, his eyes carefully studied her before he blushed darkly, noticing that she was only wearing a bra and panties, covering her "essentials". However, what drew him to her was the fact that his heart thudded painfully in his chest, and walked closer to see when the bidding for Rosalyn would begin. The bag of "crowns" - which was the currency for Obe' and the Outlands - on his hips seemed to weigh more heavily, as if they were calling to be used.

"Tonight is a treat.. I shall let you all begin the bidding on this one I will start at zero.." Alejandro murmured then turned to Rosalyn "Move girl show them what they are buying" he growled at her. Rosalyn shook in place as her eyes looked around the room until they landed on the moving figure that was beginning to come closer to the stage. When she saw Daniel it felt like all the air had been forced out of her a vampire was showing her interest. The fear rocked through her body to her this was going to be worse then Alejandro killing her, the vampire would drain her.

Suddenly people began to yell as her fear filled the room and their noses the scent was intoxicating for some of the werewolves that were in the room. Rosalyn didn't even realize what she was doing to them as she heard the numbers being called realizing Alejandro was looking at her she began to do what he asked not being able to think straight she reverted to imagining the room was empty and began to twirl on the top of her toes as she began to dance across the stage. Before Alejandro had kidnapped her she had been a aspiring Ballerina, one night while coming out of her teacher's home she was taken never thought of or asked about. Her family of four went on living as if she never existed in their town it was something that happened frequently people just disappeared out of nowhere. She just happened to be one of them.

What brought her out of the memories and had her stop dancing was the laughter the room was full of laughter and jeers and many men taking their bids back deciding to not buy her. This is when it would change for her when she'd attack her current master for the first time. Alejandro growled and walked quickly toward her slapping her so hard that she would have a bruise int he morning as she cried out. Falling she held her cheek but something snapped in her as she got up suddenly and was upon him hitting him, punching him, kicking him anything to make him back up. The room began to fill with yells of protest and complains, others were surprised and realized this is what would make her a guardian.she was fast on her feet but it was nothing. If Daniel did buy her he'd be able to easily over take her and not only that it took alot for her to snap this was the cause of weeks of tortures by Alejandro's hands.

Suddenly a screen filled the room as two guards came with long spears that immediately touching her skin caused a electric shock. Falling flat as she didn't move nothing except her chest slowly rising and fall from her shallow breaths as she was dragged away. Pulling himself up as he dusted himself off trying to gain composure "You've now see why she's being sold as a guardian.." he muttered. "She will be auctioned again after this after she's calmed.." he muttered. Moving on in the auction for the other's he still had to sell he was still a bit shaken up by what had happened.

Daniel blinked; zero? For a slave of the trifecta? If Caine was here, he would most likely tell him to buy her for the purpose of being a sex slave. After all, the dhampir was still a virgin in all manners; he had never even been kissed. Of course, this was most likely hard to believe from a species that could bend any living thing to their will.

The dhampir shot looks around; he wasn't paying any attention to her stares at the moment, and instead wonder how much he had on him. He bit his lip gently, looking around once more and noticing his servant a ways away, most likely keeping an eye on him.

"Hm..." he stepped forward, gripping the small bag that hung by his left hip. His head turned ever-so-slightly and caught the look of the slave he saw before, and for what seemed to be eternity... he was trapped in her gaze. Daniel exhaled, relaxing his hold on his bag and his body going heavy.

Daniel stood there without fail, wanting to look at her forever... until the auctioneer's voice and the sounds of Rosalyn getting physical snapped him out of the daze. "Wha..?" he muttered, then looked at the man on the stand as he recovered himself, ordering her to be put away until she was calm again. Narrowing his eyes, Daniel made his way through the crowd, not noticing the larger, heavily-built making way in the same direction.

Now behind the stage, Daniel looked around the cages for Rosalyn, and saw the two guards putting her in the cage. Smiling slightly, he walked over to her cage, suddenly stopped by the two guards. He gestured to Rosalyn, wishing to see her before he was let through. Kneeling down to gaze past the bars, he frowned. "Hello..." he greeted her quietly, placing a hand on the bars.

Rosalyn didn't fight as they dragged her back to her cage grunting softly as they tossed her into it curling into a ball her arms around herself. She couldn't believe that she attacked him now she knew she was in alot more danger now then she had been earlier. Sighing softly as she scooted up to sit up in the cage as she leaned her head back until she saw the guards blocking the what she thought to be a teenage boy.

Letting him through to see the Rosalyn as she look downwards to her knees as she brought them up to her chest. Sighing softly as she heard him speak shutting her eyes taking a deep breath as she leaned her head back on the bars. "Hello.." she murmured. Looking up to look him in the eye she bit her lip "I saw you.. in the front of the crowd.." she murmured. Then looked away to see the other cages become more and more empty as they began to sell. Sighing softly then leaning her head back onto the cage "What is it you'd like from me Vampire..?" she asked. "You didn't just come back here to gawk at me."

In relation to how old he looked, Rosalyn was technically a year older than himself. However, he knew that he was much older than fifteen. In fact, Daniel was around 1,500 years old. But he still acted like a young man, not an ancient vampire.

From what he saw, Rosalyn was absolutely the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. Her flesh was lightly tanned, giving way to the information that she was of Hispanic origin. In contrast, Daniel was paler than most, but it was hard to tell that he was a Vampire. His chest tightened painfully, unsure of what he was feeling before she replied and inquired as to the reason he was there. He blinked in surprise as she figured out that he was a Dhampir, and blushed darkly.

"I, uh . . . wish to purchase you, Miss . . . Rosalyn, was it?" he inquired. She didn't deserve to live out the rest of her life in a cage. He smiled softly, "Is that all right with you?" It was quite rare for someone of his stature to ask a slave's permission, but he wasn't used to doing this sort of thing.

Seeing him blush she smiled a little enjoying the face that she caused him to blush until she heard him speak. Sitting up and giving him her full attention "Y-You.. You want to buy me..?" she whispered. Getting up onto her knees she scooted closer to him and swallowed a little hard. "For what reason..?" she murmured. "Are you going to try to drain me.. Or.. Do you wish me as a slave?" she asked.

Her fingers slid to the cage gently as they softly touched his hand then brang her hand back to sit on her lap "I'd like it.. if you brought me.. Master." she murmured softly "My name is what you'd like for it to be but yes... I was born with the name Rosalyn.." she murmured. "You.. are like a saving grace at this moment.." she murmured quietly not wanting to explain more at that time. Explaining your feelings was one thing she was not accustomed to doing and probably wouldn't until she learned to trust a person. Only time would tell if that would be possible between then two.

Moving away to the back of the cage again as she watched the two guards come forward tapping the boy's shoulder asking him to leave for she had to be placed back up again. Sighing a little as she looked down even though he pretty much assured her he would by her she had the fear of what if someone else enjoyed what they saw out there. They may outbid him to buy her then she'd be lost with god knows what else, at that time Daniel was the safe bet for her.

When she sat up, paying full attention to his words now, his face brightened. "Yes, I do, ma'am..." he replied. Then, the thought of draining made him flinch in shock, "N-No, of course not. And I suppose I do wish you to be my . . . slave..." Daniel said. In that moment as he spoke, he realized the erotic connotation that the word "slave" had, and gulped quietly.

He blushed again when Rosalyn called him Master, and smiled lightly. "I see..." he muttered. Daniel was about to continue speaking, but the tapping on his shoulder interrupted him and prompted the Dhampir to leave, glancing back over his shoulder before going into the auction room.

When they brought Rosalyn back out, he stepped closer and prepared to speak. The bidding began, and he waited to see how far people would go to buy her. When the bid reached 3,500, Daniel gulped gently and opened his mouth.

"4,000!" Daniel exclaimed, raising his hand up as he shook gently in anxiety. The eyes of many turned to him, and he flinched in embarrassment. But he wanted her; badly.

"5,000!" another man called out, the same man that had followed him into the back. The stature of the man almost made the dhampir become silent, but Daniel gathered his courage again. "7,000!" the dhampir shouted.

Everything became silent as eyes looked upon him. He gulped. "Going once, going twice . . . sold to the young man in the front!" Alejandro announced, grinning widely at the surprising turn of events.

Daniel swallowed his nervousness as the girl was pushed down the stairs, forcing her towards where Daniel was. The young boy walked forward, gently shoving all people out of his way. Despite his small stature, due to the vampire blood in his veins, he had no trouble getting through. A few people scowled but said nothing before Daniel was just a few feet from his new slave. He gulped silently; she was his. "H-Hello..." he said, then felt a light tap on his shoulder. One of the slave traders came up and handed him a key to her chains.

The young blue-headed Dhampir gently gripped the key that was he given, contemplating his next action. Not because thoughts were racing through his mind, but... because he had no idea what to do next. A darkened blush appeared on his cheeks, seriously stuck on his next action. This led to a roar of mocking laughter from the slavers and people around him, making the young boy lower his eyes in shame.

Being brought out she continued to be quiet biting her lip a little as she looked up at Alejandro then away toward the crowd searching for Daniel. Not spotting him at first fear filled her when she heard the numbers being called she frowned until she heard him say four thousand. A soft sigh could be heard from her out of pure relief, until she heard someone else then it ended at seven thousand. The smile that was on her face could not be hidden at that moment, that was until she practically tripped down the stairs after being shoved down to Daniel.

Standing there in her cuffs in front of him "Hi.." she murmured quietly "...Thank you." she smiled. Looking up as the slave trader tapped Daniel's shoulder and gave him a key. Her hands instinctively went upwards toward him until she noticed that he didn't know what he did after he brought her. Seeing him blush and everyone laughing she frowned and leaned forward her lips against his ears "You give him the crowns.. Then you unlock me.. We leave. Everything is done now I'm officially yours the moment you said seven thousand to them." she instructed softly.

Backing away slowly as she waited to see what he would do next as she shot glares around the room at the people that laughed at him. "Insensitive pricks.." she whispered. When everything was said and done she stood there staring at Daniel studying his face "When your ready we can go." she murmured her hands rubbed her bare arms softly as she felt vulnerable being half naked in front of the crowd.

Even with Rosalyn whispering to him instructions, the laughter made him freeze up, and retreat into a deeper part of his subconscious, rendering him unable to notice the large, heavily-built man striding towards them; he was the one that Daniel had beaten in the bid. He obviously wasn't pleased. He unsheathed his large broadsword, raising it high above his head before swinging down. Daniel looked up in numb fright as the blade swung down without hesitation, and he prepared himself for an early death...

But it never came. Instead, in front of Daniel and the girl stood up a figure in a ragged black cloak, billowing in the wind as the figure held the weapon away with his right hand, catching the edge of it easily with his bare fingers. Long black hair cascaded from the ripped hood, and cold air visibly puffed out from blackness where his face was, despite it being considerably warm. The attacker grunted, attempting to tear away his weapon as the crowd watched in silence, awed by the cloaked man's strength. "How dare you..." he spoke calmly, though his tone steadily rose to outrage, "How dare you attack one of the my son? A Prince? For that... the penalty is death." he growled, and moved quickly.

Pulling the attacker forward, the figure grabbed onto his thick arm and kicked him under the limb, resulting in a sickening crack as his arm was broken and yelled as he pulled the weapon away with ease as the attacker writhed in pain in the dust. However, he wasn't finished. He swiftly swung the blade twice, slicing his chest before plunging into his heart.

Since both Daniel's and the girl's attention were strictly focused on the death, they had just noticed that every single person in the area had bowed to the knees, making the Dhampir gulp in nervousness. But he turned back to his protector. "T-Thank you... I apologize... Father." he stuttered, though he allowed himself a small smile before seeing that his father walked away, gesturing to them both to follow. Without wasting any time, Daniel quickly led the girl away by her hand and to the carriages, only taking a breather once they were safely in the carriage and began down the road.

Rosalyn's eyes had been opened wide as she opened her mouth to say something shutting her eyes and crouching a bit expecting to hear screams and cries. Or even worse being labelled a bad buy because she didn't step in front of the sword but she didn't hear any of that. Sucking in a deep breath when her eyes opened to see the cloaked figure handling the situation then she heard the words prince. 'He's a prince.. A prince and he still chose to ask me if I wanted to be his slave.. He.. Doesn't act like a prince."

Eyes turning from the scene as Daniel's father killed the man in front of them her eyes watching Daniel then toward the man who was dying in front of them very quickly. Looking around the room finally at everyone that was kneeling to Daniel unsure if she should also. When he pulled her hand to go along with him she followed obediently getting inside after him she sat across from the two men. Her eyes started on the father then moved back to Daniel as she swallowed hard "I'm sorry." she said as she looked down toward the floor.

Inside her mind was going crazy with all sorts of thoughts on everything that was happening it had happened so quickly that she could barely process it. Finally she looked up "Your a prince..? Why.. Why would you chance coming out here without protection in the first place.. If your father wasn't there those men all of them if they wanted could of killed you" she stated. "I.. I'm not yelling at you" she quickly added realizing she shouldn't speak to him in the tone she had been using. Looking at his father she did a half bow since she had been sitting in the chair unable to fully bow "I thank you.. Not for just my life but for saving my master's also.." she thanked.

Daniel was surprised by Rosalyn's forwardness, and tilted his head in surprise. "Sorry? For what?" he inquired. When she then scolded him for coming in there alone, he flinched demurely. Even more so the fact that his father chuckled lowly.

Daniel's father gazed at both of them from the darkness of his hood. A golden tint shone lightly with each slow blink, and said nothing for quite a while. However, as soon as Daniel had somehow gotten the courage to speak again, his father spoke first.

"Are you all right?" the man asked, his tone slightly worried and wholly sincere. The boy only nodded before he looked at the girl, who seemed scared as she huddled in the nearest corner, which was understandable. "Hm..." he studied her for a moment and let out a small chuckle. She wasn't particularly brave, or rude. Quite the opposite. Quiet. "And you? No harm has come to you, I hope," he added, then turning his head to look at the sunlight that shine through. But, as he waved his hand only slightly and uttered a few inaudible words, a black shroud covered the open windows and closed off the light, engulfing them in dim light before he slowly pulled down his hood.

Surprisingly, a calm, un-aged face was exposed to the girl. Pale, cold-looking porcelain skin and eyes that were a brilliant gold with long, raven-black hair that fell to his shoulders. His expression was not that of a cruel man, but of a kind and loving father. "My name is Damion Scathlocke, one of the Nine Vampire Lords that protects Delusia and, in extension, Obe' and the Outlands. He," Damion gestured to the blue-haired boy sitting next to her, "is my youngest son, Daniel." the man continued with a smile.

At his introduction, Daniel looked up and smiled demurely, glancing at her before respectfully bowing his head. "H-Hello, miss," he said, "She said that I can name her whatever I please..." the boy told his father quietly, hoping to get over his nervousness as the carriage rode on.

[[Just wanted to let you know that I won't really be on tomorrow and Monday. I'll do my best to get on Tuesday, though.]]

As they spoke together she was quiet looking between the two a bit of shock overcoming her when his father asked her if she was okay. "Y-Yes.. I'm fine." she murmured softly. Seeing the sunlight she smiled a little it had been a long time since she had actually seen it and that made her happy enough as is. "Beautiful.." was all she murmured before he had the the carriage shrouded so he was able to be out freely. Looking up at he pulled his hoodie down softly, she couldn't help from staring. "You guys are.. Magnificent.." she whispered more to herself.

"I am Rosalyn." she murmured not giving him any more information then he had asked looking over at Daniel she smiled "I like your name.. Daniel.." she said his name slowly. "Yes.. You own me now. You may give me a name to your liking." she nodded a bit realizing she may be called something else for the rest of her life. Yet she wasn't saddened by that fact it was the only thing left that connected her to her family soon that would be gone now too.

Watching them as they spoke again she got brave "Do.. You have a blanket or something.. So I can cover myself?" she asked with a slight blush. "Unless you would rather I stayed like this that is fine too" she nodded a bit. Though hoping they would have something to cover her with, she looked at Daniel again admiring his face. Something about him just soothed her to where she didn't feel like he would hurt her. Of course his father scared her half to death but it was only because he was a vampire honestly the only reason she knew what they were was cause of her last master. He himself happened to be a Vampire so now she knew what it was that she needed to be look for but for Daniel it was because all the other slaves he walked past had shrunk back from him hoping he didn't eye them. Yet she caught his eye and that was enough to interest her even if he was a vampire.

"Are we going far?" she asked a bit curious. "What exactly is it you expect from me?" she murmured. Pulling her knees up on the seat she sat there the same way she had been the first time Daniel had seen her in the cage her eyes traveled outside. Watching everything even though Damion had darkened the carriage she was still able to see outside as if she was wearing sunglasses, very dark sunglasses.

Though she had whispered the comment to herself, Daniel and Damion's enhanced hearing picked it up, and their reactions were wildly different. Damion smiled, leaning back with a light chuckle, while Daniel blushed darkly in embarrassment, causing his father to chuckle a bit more.

However, when the subject of giving her a different name came up, Daniel blinked. "Fa-Father?" he inquired, hoping to get some answers.

"It's true. Most slaves do not carry names as their buyers usually call them something else, or nothing at all. But Rosalyn is fortunate to retain her original name. It is precious," Damion turned his head to look at her, "So it is up to you, my son, whether to give her a different name..." the man explained.

Precious... the word resounded in his mind when he cleared his throat, straightening himself up as the color in his cheeks vanished, somewhat regaining any posture he might have had before. "I see. You may keep your name, Miss Rosalyn..." he told her with a soft smile, clasping his hands together.

Damion raised a hand to silence Daniel, "Son, I'm afraid I must tell you now before your brothers ridicule you: do not refer to her as "Miss Rosalyn". Either call her "Rosalyn" or use an entirely different title..." he said, glancing at Daniel.

Obviously, the young man didn't like the sound of that. In fact, he felt nervous about the prospect of taking someone's identity away. "Yes, Father. I understand," he replied, knowing he would have to clear things up with Rosalyn later on, when they were alone.

Rosalyn watched the both as they spoke keeping her arms around herself as she looked out the window quietly realizing she shouldn't ask for things. It was to be offered to her IF Daniel wanted she needed to learn not to ask for things his father was right he;d be ridiculed if she didn't act or be treated as what she was. A slave.

When Daniel said she could keep her name she smiled a bit until his father told him different understand but it still made her feel bad. She couldn't help but wonder how life would be at her new home if Daniel would change and be very demanding toward her or if he'd be the same. Her thouights did travel on his brothers if they were going to be the ones to break her in to show Daniel what was expected of her now that he owned her.

When they did reach their destination she turned toward Daniel to see what he had wanted of her, following him out of the carriage and standing behind him. She shook just a little as the night air had hit her chilling her to the bone a bit disappointed that she missed out on all the sun on their drive back to his home but she wouldn't complain. Knowing she had to be happy that Daniel had saved her life by buying her, she had to be grateful and let him know she was grateful in anyway she could now that she felt even more indebted to him.a

At the moment, Daniel was much too nervous to hear Rosalyn's question, and Damion just decided to stay quiet, wanting his son to deal with her on his own for now. But soon enough, he leaned forward, gently taking her hands and unlocking the shackles and chains on her arms. However, his body shivered gently as the palms of his hands ran against hers, a new sensation running through him that cause a light blush, which vanished quickly.

Once the bonds were off, Daniel smiled once more and sighed, leaning back as he looked out the window at the passing scenery.

His father, however, studied Rosalyn's movements. "Rosalyn, tell me..." Damion began, resting his head on his right hand, "Are you familiar with using any magick? Or one of the Elements?" the inquiry reached his son's ears, and prompted Daniel to turn back and look at his slave curiously.

In any other place magick wasn't needed, but... Rosalyn had to learn to control one if she was to survive. "Hm... I see. Then we will have to talk later," he told her, "The Scathlock family, as well as the other eight families, have enemies. Powerful one. You will not survive, nor will you be able to protect my son without learning one..."

A while later, the young man leaned out the window and allowed himself a wide grin as the gigantic city of Delusia quickly rose into view. Tall concrete walls spanned the perimeter of the location, and tips of houses and apartment could be seen over the ramparts, with a sky-reaching tower situated in the middle. They soon came upon the gates, where pale soldiers stood watch until they came close, at which point they bowed and opened the gates, leading into Delusia.

"We're here!" he exclaimed happily. Daniel grinned cheerfully, while his father leaned back and let a smile on his lips, noticing that it had gotten dark. It wasn't until a few minutes later that they came upon an expansive garden in the northern area of the city, where ten separate mansions stood. Well, nine. There was a house before in the corner of the garden, but all that remained were burned cinders.

Daniel and Rosalyn got out and went to the black-colored mansion, knowing that his father would not follow just yet; he needed to prepare some things. Leading her to the large double-doors, and with a simple push, the Prince opened the door to their home. The interior was much different than what was portrayed outside. White marble floors and columns that held up the firm roof. Spiraling around said columns were thin golden wires that seemed to be moving about, vanishing into the ceiling, only to protrude from the floor once more.

A twin set of stairs rose to the next floor, separated only by a door that led to the kitchen and, in extension, the basement where his father conducted his research. "Here we are, Rosalyn. Your new home," the boy said, turning around to look at her with a soft smile. "Are you hungry?" he asked curiously, brushing a blue strand of hair behind his ear as he awaited her answer.

"Afterwards, we can get you to your room, okay?" Daniel hadn't a clue as to whether or not his brothers were home; but, if Caine was, then... he frowned at the thought.

"No.. I don't.. I never needed to know at the time.. Now I'm sure I do." she answered him before the carriage had gone quiet. Walking with Daniel as he led her ahead biting her lips a bit as she looked at the guards who gawked at her and stiffled laughter. Walking into the home with Daniel her eyes lit up as they got wide "Holy..." was all she said quietly. "This place.. is.. HUGE.." she murmured looking around.

Snapping out of it when Daniel asked if she was hungry her eyes almost watered and she bit her lip "Yes.. I'm extremely hungry and thirsty.." she frowned. "I haven't had a decent meal that wasn't scraps and dirty water in.. in a .. LONG time." she murmured. Her eyes were still looking around the house before they landed on Daniel "My question is.. Do I sleep in quarters with other slaves? Or.. Do you expect me to share your bed with you?" she asked a bit apprehensive of the question.

Walking with him to the kitchen she looked at the people that were in their and wondered who they all were knowing he'd introduce her. Her mind drifted unexpectedly though to when he had touched her in the carriage the heat and electricity that was between them both when he touched her. It shocked her and she realized looking at him when it happened that it had shocked him too. "Will you be eating with me..?" she asked suddenly not wanting him to leave her alone for any reason.

Daniel gave her an enthusiastic nod, glad she was hungry, and that she had admitted to it. The Dhampir didn't want her to be the slightest bit scared, and she wasn't. "Great! Follow me," he said, gesturing towards the door that lay between the stairs.

He began to walk towards the door when he heard Rosalyn's inquiry, and made him look down towards the floor. If he sent her to the slave's quarters, she would surely meet Caine's slaves; that was something he didn't want in the least. But the thought of sharing his bed with her made him gulp quietly before blushing and shaking his head "No, you won't be sleeping in either... I'll find a private room for you," he said as he opened the door. What it revealed was a short hallway that led to two places; immediately to the right was a great, expansive kitchen that contained four or five cooks, making food, while another was at the corner, carefully hovering over a large mixing pot as he slowly poured in liquid.

Straight down the hall was yet another, darker door. It led down into his father's workspace, though the young boy himself had never been down there. All he knew when he asked about it was that it "held very important secrets for the city". Afterwards, he never pressed on the issue again.

"Hello, my Lord!" one of the human cooks exclaimed, giving the boy a slight bow with a smile. "I've prepared some fantastic sauced chicken for you this evening. Would you like to try it?" the man asked curiously.

The young Dhampir shook his head and waved him off, though it was clear that he was restraining the urge to drool at the thought of chicken. "No, it's fine. I'll wait. But can you prepare something for Rosalyn, please? Anything she would like." Daniel replied, looking towards the young girl as he waited to see what she wanted.

She smiled and nodded a bit "Okay, sounds good" she smiled as she did follow him noticing that he was looking downwards when she asked about her sleeping arrangement's. A part of her wondered if she asked the wrong thing at that moment. "Did I say something bad, Daniel?" she asked. Following him toward the kitchen yet taking the time to look at everything that was around then as they walked. "I don't want you to treat me differently I don't need anything but a bed in my room since I will be spending most of my time serving you." she murmured.

Huffing a little "This place is HUGE" she murmured still amazed by the size. When they walked in and she saw that the cooks were human she was pleasantly surprised but very happy over the fact too. Looking over at Daniel as they spoke and blushing wildly when they spoke of giving her whatever it was she wanted to eat. "Uhm.. A grilled cheese..?" she asked "One.. That way I have room for dinner.." she blushed her eyes staring at what the cook had made her mouth watering. "It looks so good.." she whispered.

After being introduced to everyone in the kitchen she sat down at the table and began to eat her quick dinner "Is it just your father and you here?" she asked feeling uneasy. From the time they had walked into the kitchen to when she sat down she had this ominous feeling as if she was being watched. Every time she would turn to see what it was the person or shadow would be gone as if she was just spooking herself. "You guys have made this place look very beautiful.." she nodded.

Daniel chuckled pleasantly at her response, and looked towards the cook. "And a bit of soup," he told him, and the man in question nodded and began preparing a dish while Daniel scanned the room curiously.

"Lord Daniel!" one voice called out over the noise and chatter of the cooks. It was the man in the corner, sitting on a stool and bent over the pot. Now, however, he gestured towards him to come near. As the two of them did, it was clear that this man wasn't human. Pale skin and dark red eyes signaled him as a Vampire. He wore tight leather gloves as he nodded towards the boy, holding a small vial of red liquid. "I think I might have made a breakthrough for the new flavor; why don't you try it?"

The question transformed Daniel's expression from that of happiness to nervousness. A light blush came on his cheek before he gulped and glanced at Lilith. "I, uh... I suppose..." he whispered, taking the vial. He rose the container to his nose, inhaling it softly before he made a soft gasp. The blush became even deeper, and his heart began to thud in his chest as his body heat rose. He then hesitantly drank the liquid, sighing gently as he tasted sweet nectar. Then, an unfamiliar noise rose from his throat as he covered his mouth, closing his eyes as he allowed the sensation to go through him. "U-Uh... wait for f-father to come. He'll know the difference..." he breathed. He looked over at Lilith for a quick moment before looking away, biting his lip gently.

A soft clatter was heard on the table. "Here you are," the cook said, placing the plate of grilled cheese and tomato soup. "Eat up!" he exclaimed, glancing at his employer. He stayed silent about what was happening, though a soft chuckle came from him as he knew what was going on.
