STORY
Date October 23, galactic year 7876
Mission control receives a message from what was left of squad alpha. Though sadly it wasn’t more than a few words nothing to go on especially sense they’d gone missing over two weeks before the message finally arrived through the murk of cloud cover in a dome covered world. Data on the world gave only the basic details but mission control knew more. Stamping Unsolved on the case file the head general sighs and sits up in his chair. It had all started out so well a small colony had been established on Edjar7 in attempt to try a new form of science and supplies supposedly to help cut back waste and worse. What had started as a sparkling city in a bio-dome that produced its own atmosphere with self cleaning homes and local transports. The size 50 miles up down and all around. What could have happened was anyone’s guess as within six Months they had received and later update with the progress than required, followed by another month of silence after supposed technical problems in the main military base within the district of the city. Of course the general and his people hadn’t taken this as more than just a few glitches nothing was supposed to be perfect and that’s just what this was for a test run and free homes to people who had spent their lives in colony ships.
Now close to three months after last contact the general was over viewing what was left of twelve personnel files all top class to middle class military grade professionals all missing with no contact…and as far no remains or messages. Looking over the files he sighs and sits down preparing to make a final decision. Of coarse he had truly sent the best. Only the best the military could govern. But perhaps there was still a chance to salvage what was left of the Blue project and see what had gone wrong. His superiors were very eager to find out how a population of close to Seven thousand people could just up and vanish within a month’s time not even a trace other than the occasional body. Grunting he makes his decision after only another moment’s hesitation and puts a phone to his ear ”Yes, I'm speaking on behalf of the military and I'm looking to talk to the leader of the terrain government,” he says and hangs up a few moments later after confirming he sits at his desk and waits watching as several new and confidential military files pop up in holo on his desk showing him several young and eager faces as well as a more stern failure, one he knew so well.

Background
Screaming Metal Death Trap-------Techficsion Power Armor, more commonly known as the Death Armor by those who pilot them, because of the high casualty rate.

History

A young Ancient, named Janey created a basic blueprint for a version of power armor. Though not much is known how, it fell into Terran hands. Their scientists spent months trying to reverse engineer it, however it was all in vain for they could not get it to function right(the blueprint was in chicken scratch). So the Terran Government/Military, searched for her and commissioned her on the spot to give them a version they could read/use. She made the MK1 power armor from the junkyards of the satellite she was living on and special order parts from Squirt to build the prototype model. Once completed, she demonstrated gave them a slightly blacked out blue print, making sure to hide the information on part suppliers. She had been told they were going to use it to excavate and build on tougher worlds and had needed, a version to with stand all elements. She didn't believe them and so blacked the blueprint out.

What she forgot to remove however was the AI module from the suit, when she gave them it so they recreate one of their own. With this and some of the best(TERRAN MIND YOU) scientists. They created their first test and manufacturing facility on Kalorian 4. A almost inhospitable desert wasteland, they built one city for their tests and brought workers and others in to build and run the facilities. What the colonists did not know was, there was no way off that rock. They were used for testing and development of a AI-Human partnership for battle purposes. The AI core used was made to be a partner program; a AI made to grow and learn with its master, the Suits worked just fine, so they mass produced them. Before they could use them in any sort of combat situation, the Facility at Kalorian 4 had been taken over by a 'rouge AI', and the suit was really tested for the first time. The circumstances deemed it necessary, the a suit was retrofitted for anti-machine combat, and given a AI that was imprinted with knowledge of the facilities and the suits functions.

The Death Armor, had been a recon model, designed to be as stealthy as possible, and so had been fitted with different features to suit the role of search and destroy. The AI had the sky monitored so they dropped the pilot, Annabel, and the AI, Kathy, way out in the desert with enough supplies to make it their and spend a total of 6 days there. When they made it their, they rarely encountered a problem and helped the resistance/populace get out of the 'pig pen' they were in. They provided valuable information to Annabel, that would lead to the rouge AI's defeat. Once the main power network had been disabled most of the minor hunter-kill AIs dropped on the spot. The only place that had power left was the main building, which was armed to the teeth. Kathy called for a massive backup, to storm the place to kill the rouge AI, the plans were made and less than a Day later they were inside, thanks to the distraction courtesy of the Terran Military. They all had the most commonly produced Death Armors, soldier class/heavy weapons. Annabel was allowed to sneak by the defenses, and though the dungeon of a base they went.

Using the air ducts as a fast travel system, they located the 'AI'. It was a Human female suspended in a liquid with a conductive cord hanging close to the metal plate in the back of the neck, it was the connection located in all of the pilots neck that let the speed of information flow between AI and pilot next to nothing. The Human attacked Annabel, once they figured out that the Human was the rouge AI, and began to kill her. In fear that Kathy would not survive a massive EMP shock she was about to cause she ordered Kathy to download herself directly into Annabel's mind. At the risk of killing them both she obeyed, just before the bomb set off the look in the Humans eyes told them that wasn't just a human. The bomb went off killing the Human, and saving Annabel. The AI had been turning herself more machine by the day and the blast stopped her robotic heart. The AI had been their first attempt to try what Annabel had succeeded at, after that she and Kathy, begun to test the limits of their 'brain change'.

TL;DR
Functions And AI's

General look--rather big and bulky on the first couple of models, even the mk3 was big, they were essentially what ever color was deemed wanted by the pilot. Even down to personal paint jobs, the general look seemed to scream slow and useless. The visor was made of a reflective material to allow for privacy, and some massive bluffs. the armor was originally plated, but had most of the plates seem lined so as not to present such a big target when preforming battle maneuvers.

To Start with the MK1 was had very little in functionality. Basic targeting system, that adjusted it self to the type of gun you were using. I.E. difference between grenade launcher and an Assault Riffle. A small motion sensor in the heads up display, squad mate status and radio system that needed ALOT of improvement. It was self sealing in case of punctures, also it had an internal drug dispense system to keep the body healthy as can be or as focused. The inside was a type of fabric, very uncomfortable but it kept the user from being shocked to death. Also included a mussel system, so that the AI could move the suit if the user couldn't, along with a shit load of mini-hydrolics to keep the 500 pound machine from crushing the user. The hydrolic system also enhanced the strength of the user 3 fold.

The MK2 improved on the comfortableness and targeting systems, and not much else. This version added a standard projectable EMP shield, and inferred, night vision, and Black and white view settings. Again not much changed

The MK3 had the greatest improvements of them all. After the Terran government and most other races got their hands on a hacked copy of the perfect models blueprint half way though the original development, they never got a full version, but built improvised version with the tech they had available. This model featured massive upgrades to both the Pilot and Suit, the most noticeable to the average onlooker was the connection ports were changed from the standard 'touch connection' to a plug-and-run system. Instead of the metal plate and low end data speeds, a USB (called other things in other races and other model types, but same general idea) type port was placed in the Pilots skull, along with Bio-organic memory and hard drive chips, in most races these were tiny, but the Terrans used a slightly large version covering most of the inside of the pilots skull.
The second biggest change was the weight, they went from 500 pounds down to about 100, mainly because of the armor plating. The metal, they had been using was heavy and not worth the effort, when the universe discovered Crakiner, a very light and durable metal, almost as hard as diamond, and easy to mine, now that they knew what to look for. Most moons were then stripped mined for the stuff, it existed mainly in asteroids and moons. The second to last change was the suits interior. The original interior was slightly better than exposed wires, 5% of all pilots died not on the field but because of the faulty wiring job done for the suit. So that got a total refit, using a easy to find conductive jell, and a tougher material(I.E. harder to pierce) the wiring problem was solved, and the suit move a lot faster than before.
The last major improvement was to the AIs minor functions, mainly the medical. The reason this became so important was because it actually made the AI better equipped to handle and take care of its pilot. The scanners and injection system was improved, to the point of close to the perfect model. it was the only part of the blueprint fully complete when it was stolen. Other changes though not important as the other mainly focused on targeting, and life support. The new life support allowed for no-atmosphere or hostile atmosphere combat, and made it more efficient. It almost lost its nick name till the suits AIs started to go rouge and kill their pilots. This model was taken off for maintenance and service, when it was released again the problem had been fixed but the name stuck permanently.

The Perfect Models
Scout Recon Model--Pilot:Annabel AI:Cathy
Because of the MK3 being based off this and the Hunter/Kill Perfect models, most of the feature are the same with some major improvements. The Medical system stays the same, though the drug/liquid nutrient selection was left up to Cathy or Annabel. The weight was even lighter than the MK3, almost 70lbs even, also the interior was altered to be as comfortable as possible, along with electronic nerves run though out the interior for.......alternative reasons, also the interior was more flexible, and aloud the AI to get....creative with it. The pilot and AI were lovers and the suit was built with this in mind. Also the suit got some serious changes to stealth systems, mainly reactive camouflage that was just as good if not the same as the stuff used on Arachnian pirate ships. The next feature was a version of X-ray vision that improved upon the thermal and electronic detection view functions, allowed the to detect bodies of heat or electronic noise though as thick as 20ft of concrete/metal/or wall, and though 5 feet of lead.
The weapon systems were improved with point-defense laser system to take out RPGs or similar projectile based weapons. The reflective armor also got an upgrade, it had the ability of glamour, using the camo-system as a based the Glamour system was made. It allowed the AI to shift the look of the armor to what ever she wished, a suit, dress, or even ancient battle armors if so wished, so long as the AI had data on it. The shield got a boost, including a reversed magnetized shield to repel metal projectiles.

AI Notes

The AI is your main partner and runs important areas in your suite.YOU cannot play without one and the AI will be the one person you may depend upon it to see you to safety as they exist to learn and evolve to be a partner program to the wearer of the suite there assigned to.When first loaded in the AI can be customized in appearance in anyway as well as background and will reform there program accordingly.

Suit Notes
The suite contains iv system that is designed to use dehydrated packs set in the back of front of the armor before pulling moisture in the air or..the suite to hydrate it for use in the iv system. Which will feed and keep the suite user hydrated. Through a small iv implanted on the left of the chest and directly hooked to the suite. It is located beneath a layer of skin and seals itself with removal to reduce the chance of damaging the user.
It also contains a gel layer covered by an elastic cloth surface on the inside beneath the actual armor for sealing punctures and absorbing impact as well as slowing bullet entry if it gets past the armor and shielding. The suite also contains from basic to advanced EMP shielding from unseen to an actually bubble like shield meant to hide the user from most if not all computer sensors. Not to mention a stealth setting present in the scout or GI model.
it has simple holographic imaging inside the helmet as well as highly adapted sensors to do the easiest thing as taking a hosts temperature or the chemical makeup of the air present outside the suite. The suite itself would have built in medical knowledge to treat wounds as well as targeting systems depending on the models and specs with an additional medical spec the AI will be able to do more in a drastic situation.

Ok there are three forms of venting and air filtration ranging from the helmet without a filter which in case the suite is filled with tiny poor’s that are sealed by a dense foam or weave or vent gel type filter that collects dangerous participles and absorbs toxins before a small pack of living cells is flushed through once in a while to eat away the debris
as for the helmets there are two filtered types (2)one having a clear visor that shows there face while the rest of the helmet covers their heads completely other than a slide edge of clear on either side of the eye for perefrial vision
this helmet has no visible filter however the screen itself is made of thousands of tiny weaved crystalline fibers that do the same work as the pores and collect particles and dangerous toxins before being carefully cleaned by nanobots the lighter threading allowing easy airflow without the need of a heavy tank to weigh you down in harsh environments
(3)the last type of helmet has to slight gas mask type sliders on either side of a black bit that covers the mouth they are small and compact and can carry two small gel filters that are poured and allow easy air flow these two can be either cleaned by nanites or simply removed and replaced if damaged or the nanites are currently unreliable.
on the thigh of the suite there is normally a small strap were an emergency viro knife can be stored as well as hidden pockets or a slight backpack for emergency supplies like first aid kids and extra food packs in case of contamination.
It’s for hacking capabilities as well as a built in port to or cord that connects from suite to other machines.
The suite is capable of inferred and other vision specs from night vision to zoom depending again on the suite model depends on how high a grade these abilities are.

Class list and descriptions
Heavy Model. A very Brute-ish model, meant for nothing more than taking front line damage and dealing it back. This model comes saturated in more armor than most Races ground tanks, and normally a big gun. Though the heavy armor comes at a 'heavy'(pun not intended) price. They lack nothing more than the most basic of sensors, are equipment as their weapon and armor make them not very versatile in combat. They can be upgraded with those sensor suites at the cost of some layers of armor and some ammo holding cells.

Soldier or GI Model. The most balanced in terms of weapons/armor to support/sensors. Though not as much armor as the Heavy, it has enough to make it cheap and easy to build, while still being effective. They are also the easiest to customize. With the standard armor and weapon suites, along with the base sensors, the possibilities are endless on what you could have. Melee fighters and Shotgun warfare, are the most common model variations. Then their are some weird ones like a sensor heavy, Assault, or a Heavy armored sensor suite. While weird and off the beaten path very good in certain situations.

Scout/Support Model. Lightest armor of all classes, but they have the better sensors and can be spec'ed for the random jobs easier. The sniper, medic, or well scout, all use this model, it can be customized for various things. With out the heavier armor this class need to stay away from the fight, help but not front line. This model also tends to get the better AI's in terms of utility, because the pilots of these need the most support. These suits are also the most mobile, the move the fastest and can sometimes be be controlled by the AI for advanced maneuvers, like rolling around, and dodging. These models are in and out fighters rather than sustained combatants.

Death Armor: Infection

Hmmm... I'm interested, definitely. Tell me, how advanced is the tech? Are we looking at all-realistic tech, with just more advanced versions of stuff that already exists, or are there force fields and things of that nature?

RE: Death Armor: Infection

ok its pretty much based as close as we can to realistic tech and some of it like the iv systems are based off of simple designs just like today as well as other things. however there are more scifish twists on some of the things in the suite such as the holo screen images and such. Plus Sera's Char has a EMP based weapon and a viro blade.
