Walking into Kelly's room is a relaxing experience. Rather than spend time dealing with stressful business matters, the mistress of the brothel spends her time in her bedroom either with clients or colleagues alone. There is no business link to her bedroom via phone--it's a private line that can't be reached from the club or brothel--she has to call them. Eli, however, can always reach her.
The furniture in her room is light and airy, comfortable, but modern. There is an entire wall of window that carries across the bedroom and living area. Bamboo hardwood floors (light, but not too light) are polished beautifully. White area rugs define several spaces--there is a small space for Kelly to take care of personal business, her bedroom and her living room. The walls are a pale blue to soothe Kelly and continue the theme of the club. The window is covered with white sheers and a deep Gold curtain. The window treatments are done in sections, rather than a continuous line, which is also to help define the space.
A glass and steel desk set up in the corner with a sleek laptop. There's a personal printer hidden cleverly somewhere in the room. A sleek desk light that looks a bit like a lantern opens and runs on batteries to avoid any messy cords--the only one visible is that of her laptop. Several drawers hold personal files, office supplies she may need, and various other technology--neatly wrapped and carefully stored. The chair is a soft white leather with a half back. The steel components are the same color as the desk. The area rug has a sandy colored trim.
Along side this desk to separated it from the rest of the room is a set of white backless cubby shelves. It gives the area a feeling of isolation, but sitting there, you can still see the rest of the room. In the cubbies are books that Kelly enjoys reading, movies, and pictures of people who are important to Kelly. It is arranged so that If you're on one side of the cubbies you'll see one thing, and on the opposite side, you'll see another. On top of this set of of cubbies (which is about four feet tall) is a candle holder with a lovely arrangement of scented candles. There's some green tea and oceanic scent that sweetens the room a bit and looks beautiful as it burns, the black colors a distinct contrast with the white details of the room. These are lit on special occasions.
On the other side of this cubby set is the living room. A white area rug with blue and green pale paisley design on it covers a large space. Along the blue wall, there is a large mounted plasma screen. Beneath it is a wall mounted entertainment center painted gold. It houses numerous technological goodies, including a dvd player and an ihome, both of which are plugged in and fully accessible. There are hidden speakers around the room to give a great sound. The walls are pretty clean, and her living space is rather uncluttered. In front of the window is a sofa in a pale gold. Its throw pillows are white with the paisley design on the carpet and a nicely toned blue color. The lighting in this room is recessed in the ceiling with a dimming option. Despite its rather open design, this portion of the room is not very large.
Separating this room from the main bedroom is one third of a wall in the middle. On either side of this wall, which is decorated with a large, black metal work clock, is an open space--the doors are bamboo pocket doors, which stay open during the day. In this space is a king sized bed with white and gold sheers. Behind the sheers on the window, there is a deep darkening shade that can be lowered any time of the day to give the room complete darkness. On the centered wall that separates this area from the rest is a large painting of a beach and two wall sconces. Beneath this painting is a glass and bamboo entry table with several pictures of people Kelly loves and has a shelf with a charging mat for her electronic devices. On either side of the bed is a night stand with a lamp--the one on the right having a clock radio with alarm.
Branching off from this section is a large bathroom with a bamboo pocket door and a walk in closet done in bamboo with a white area rug, with the same entry.
