With all the doors open and the traps deactivated.......the building was safe for the police. Mathew turned around towards Samantha who had freed Nina from the ropes that she was tied with. The two Sheriff's Deputies looked at Samantha while she was speaking with Mike. They weren't sure what to do with Samantha saying that this man didn't have a choice. Nina suggested that she could drive Samantha back to her apartment to change then the two could meet Mathew at Tony's place. Mathew agreed saying that he would have their drinks waiting for them. Someone helped Chessman & his daughter Alexandria escape...but was there another person who was hidden or was it someone else?

Mathew jumped into his car fired up the engine then backed out of the building.....he drove off down the road heading for LA. He knew this case wouldn't be over until Chessman was dead or in jail.....but of course Mathew knew nothing about the Fourth Reich that was growing inside the Untied States. Sam smiled at both of them and nodded and then she and Nina headed over to Nina's car. She climbed in and settled into the seat. She suddenly felt tired. Mathew explained that he thought they would be hungry since he doubted that either had anything to eat all day. Mathew smiled chuckling while he nodded his head. It was the biggest check they had received since becoming partners. Nina said the she would get that check deposited in the bank first thing in the morning. Mathew took a long slip of his beer....he wondered if Samantha would be willing to take sometime off? But Mathew felt that Sam could use a couple of weeks off to recharge her batteries. " Sam......the last few mouths have been rough on you. " Now that we can afford it......why don't you take a couple of weeks off......go home and visit your family......you haven't seen them since before the war. " Mathew said softly placing a hand onto Samantha's shoulder. " You can catch a plane to New York.....then get one heading for London.......Nina & I can handle things until you return. " The tone in Mathew's voice was one with great worry in it. He didn't want everything that had happened to Sam over the last few months to drag her down.....she needed a break. Nina to said that Sam should take some time off. " It will do you good to get away from here for a while. " Nina said as her hand touched Samantha's arm.

Samantha looked from Mat to Nina and back. She was grateful for the concern from both of them. Did she want some time off? She felt like before today she had been off works since Parker's assault.
