it was a dark night, the moon so full that it almost looked Daylight out. there where no clouds but thunder rumbled across the sky anyway, heat lightning, or a dark omen of death. there where things lurking in the night, dark and dangerous things that hunted for the flesh of man, gone unnoticed by blind mortals who wished to believe that the old story's where nothing more than legend and lies. but they here not lies, and they where not legends, they where real, the horrid things that had once had men too terrified to leave their houses. There was one stalking the night now, a Rouge, bored with following the rules that the Immortal council had set to protect both the race of mortals, and the race of immortals walking the world. A Vampire, bored with feeding on willing prey, a sadistic beast searching for something new, someone frightened.

And so he was stalking a human, a male, remaining unseen and unheard until the creature turned into shadows and darkness, where no one would see him feeding on the terror struck human. He launched himself into the air, slamming into the human, knocking him further back into the shadows with a violent hiss, his fingers wrapping around the things neck, squeezing tightly, a laugh falling from his lips as he let his fangs Descend, a low feral snarl falling from his lips as his blood red eyes stared into the eyes of the terrified one, smelling the acrid stench of terror at being faced with something only nightmares knew to be truth.

He pulled the human to him, pressing it tight to his body, feeling the warmth of it's skin against his, their groins rubbing together as he lowered his lips to the others ear. “my first, real, meal.” he hissed, laughing at the human, no matter how it struggled, it would not escape, long ivory fangs pricking the skin, only to suddenly be gone, head an all had been removed fro the vampires shoulders, removed by a gleaming sword of silver that nearly glowed in the moonlight, the person holding it completely hidden in shadows. “has he bitten you?” the rescuer asked, his voice soft, calming but commanding. Someone who was completely in control, lowering the sword as the body of the vampire released the human, setting it free. “Do not run.” the stranger commanded, his voice warning of terrible things. If the human ran, then he would be forced to take measures.

The male stilled his shaking knees, forcing himself to hold still as he faced the warrior. "N-no."He whispered, shaking as his voice shook. Before his fingers found the slight indent, the welling bead of blood on his fingers before whimpering."Yes."he said looking up at the other, watching the moonlight gleam off teh sword, because if he focused on what his mind was turning over, he would never stop screaming.

Daemon Sadi had long given up his dream of meeting the legends that he had longed to be true when he was a child. He couldn't think of how many countless years he'd spent dreaming about what he wanted. But... here he was, living in a myth, and fear gripped him, because he had no idea what to think anymore. And he just wanted to return home, but he had a feeling that was no longer a possibility.

the person cleaned the gleaming sword on the dead body and slid it into the scabbard at his hip, stepping into the light to reveal himself. he looked...amazing, his hair was white, snow white and it flowed down to his hips, held back into a ponytail, his skin was pale, making him look almost sickly, yet he issued an air of intense strength and power at the same time. his eyes where a gleaming purple, that shone, glowed in the moonlight, like a gem they glittered as the light bounced off of them looking the human he had found over. "let me see." he ordered gently, moving gently over to the other, carefully examining the others neck, wiping the blood away. "you will be fine, it's not deep enough to change you." he promised, pulling something out of his pocket, the sound of a wrapper being pulled open, and then something settling onto the mark...a band-aid... an all powerful immortal had just put a band-aid on him...weird.

"Don't be afraid." the man murmured softly, gently stroking the others cheek. "your safe now. come, i will escort you to your home." he promised turning to look around. "there are other things out this night." he admitted softly his eyes narrowing dangerously. "i will let no harm come to you this night." he promised setting his hand on the others lower back, gently propelling him out of the darkness of the Alley and out into the light of the moon, where the stranger seamed to almost glowed in the light. "Do you live far?" the man...creature asked, looking over at the other. "and do you live alone? you have vampire blood on you, it would be better for you to be with someone tonight."

Daemon swallowed the giggle that threatened to escape as the man out of myth settled a band aid on the wound. Really, that was the last thing he'd expected. Smiling slightly he shook his head."I do not live far. But I do live alone."He frowned looking down at his clothes walking with the other, directing them towards his house, his fear fading under the other's gentle touch, and caring nature, despite knowing that he was probably very dangerous."Can't I just take a shower?Wont that take care of it?"He asked softly.

the man offered the other a small smile, offering him silent comfort. "it might, if you burn the clothes." he admitted simply looking the other over a little. "if you wish, i will stay and guard you for the night, i do not think anything will attack you to be honest, but then, that vampire was not supposed to attack you. and i do need to speak with you about what you saw tonight, once you have recovered from the shock." he glanced at the other, offering him another small smile. "you need not worry about anything really, i only need to explain a few things, to help you understand what it is that happened tonight." he admitted looking up at the sky, feeling the breeze on his soft skin, unable to help but be as kind and gentle as he could with this human...this human that smelled of moonlight and apples. this young man smelled like his Mate, the one he had waited his entire life for...but how did one go about explaining that to a human? "please, take your shower, and make yourself something to eat." he said once they had reached his home. "i will wait here for you." outside? he would wait outside?

Daemon looked at the other, looking torn between putting the safety of a door between them, and inviting him in. Deciding that he'd seen enough strangeness for the day, he was going to live with this. Stepping inside he held the door open."Would you like to come in?"he asked already starting to strip. Not shy, but mostly not wanting to get the clothes anywhere in his house, in case whatever the other thought wouldn't happen, did.

he smiled a little as he turned to face the outside, pausing at the invitation. he hesitated for a moment then, "if that is what you wish." he decided, stepping through the doorway, glancing at the clothes. "i will burn these." he decided, picking them up once he had discarded them. "it will keep the smell from lingering." he promised. "go and take a nice long shower. calm yourself and wash away the terror." he ordered calmly giving Daemon a small push towards where he assumed the shower was. "i will make you some tea." he paused. "assuming you have tea."

"I do have tea."He said smiling slightly as he made his way to the back."And food if you want something."He said before shutting the bathroom door. Taking his time showering, and in about a hour he walked out, looking more relaxed and content, before tensing a little at the sight of the other in his kitchen.Having hoped he'd imagined it all, even though he did like him

the other smiled as he looked over at the other, setting a hot mug of tea on the table. "please, sit." Argentum asked softly before pausing, realizing how ridiculous it was to ask someone to sit down in their own home. "there are a great many things that i must explain to you." he admitted blinking at Daemon. "i have also taken the liberty of burning your clothing, i will pay to have them replaced." he settled down at the table with his own cup of tea. "please understand that i am not really supposed to be telling you anything at all." he admitted. "i should have erased your memory of this evening and left you in a hospital with the explanation that you got hit by a car or some such nonsense." he admitted. "i am breaking the rules even sitting in your kitchen right now, so i am going to have to ask you to not tell anyone about this."

"I'm not looking to be thought to be insane. Which everyone will think I am if I tell them."Daemon pointed out, sitting down. To much still in shock to find it odd to be asked to sit in his own house. Smiling slightly as he looked at the other."What are you ging to tell me?Your name?I should have asked later, but I am daemon, what's your name?"He asked wincing because he hadn't asked before.

he smiled a little looking amused nudging the others tea over to him. "please, Drink. it will make you feel better." he chuckled a little. "i am Argentum." he admitted looking greatly amused. "in Latin, it means Silver, you can call me Either." he admitted smiling a little. "i will tell you everything i suppose." he admitted taking a sip from his own tea, pondering. "i suppose it all starts with The First, an Immortal known only as Mamol." he admitted. "he was the very first immortal, from him all others where born. werewolves, vampires, Naga, Angels, Demons, shifters, and the Cruor Luna, which is what i am. it is my peoples task to protect the humans from the immortals, and keep the immortal a secrete from the humans." he admitted watching the other closely. "which is why i saved you this evening, instead of another vampire or some other sub immortal." he hesitated, looking nervous now. "my species. the Cruor Luna... we are...alone."

Daemon bbristled a little at the words, tilting his head."That's not fair. That you have to patrol against the others, and be alone."he said fowning as he studied the other."Silver...it fits you."he said sipping his tea, accepting the other things more out of shock then anything else.

the man smiled a little. "i will tell you a story." he decided. "it will explain everything i suppose. including why i am breaking the rules and telling you all of this." he paused and took another sip of his tea, pondering how to tell the story. "Long, Long ago, back when the earth was fresh and inhabited only by animals and plants, a being was born. he was the very first, he was known as Manol. Manol gave birth to two species, Humanus, Humans, and Cruor Luna, the people of the blood moon." he stated calmly taking another drink of his tea and clearing his throat. "

"the two species developed quickly, and took to two different paths, humanus to technology, and Cruor Luna to Magic. the humanus where greedy and jealous of the Cruor Luna however, and demanded that they be able to do Magic as well, and the Cruor Luna, who could not deny the Humanus, agreed. the Humanus gathered, and the Cruor Luna bit them, infusing magic within their souls so that they too could do magic. the humans changed, turning into many creatures. Vampires, werewolves, Naga, shapeshifters, everything! the newborn immortal where upset, and demanded the Cruor Luna to change them back, but the Cruor Luna could not." he cleared his throat again, feeling nervous and awkwardly so.

"They all went to Manol, who became very angry with them, and punished them all. Humanus where charged with being greedy, and where punished with having a never ending hole int heir soul, that they would try to fill with everything they could, filling them with greed that grew and grew. to the Immortal was passed that they would forever feast upon their once brothers, and be shunned from humanity forever. and to the Cruor Luna was passed the harshest punishment, for loving too much, and having no restraint, they would be charged with watching over the species of immortal that they had spawned, and protecting the humans from them...and more so, they would never love again, so that they would do their jobs with swift efficiency." he closed his eyes.

"as time went on, Humans over ran the planet, killing everything in sight, held only in check by their human thirsty once brothers, the Cruor Luna grieved the loss of their love, and struggled to find meaning in their empty lives. Manol was sad, he had caused such devastation, so he offered all a gift. Humanus could fill the holes in their souls with Love and Family. the Immortal would be able to hide amidst their brethren, and would no longer have to kill the humans to survive, and to the Cruor Luna they where given a single mate, to love with all of their hearts and souls." he smiled a little. "everyone was pleased, and Manol was happy once more, and that is how all of this became the way it is." he took another sip of his tea, his hand shaking a little and setting it down quickly.

"every Cruor Luna do their jobs, waiting for the day that they find their Soul Mate, to love and cherish for the rest of our, or in this case your life." there, he'd said it. he'd admitted it...this Daemon was his soul mate, the person he had spent centuries waiting for, looking for, hoping for. now he just had to wait for the reaction.

Daemon was silent for lng moments as he sorted through what the other was telling him....him?A soul mate to a immortal? No way. That wouldn't be fair...not to be immortal when his mate would be immortal...."...not fair."He muttered darkly, already feeling the tug."Not fair when you will span the length of my life, and I'd only be a few decades of yours."Oh!So he amazingly accepted being his mate, but wasn't sure how he felt about it besides being sad that he wasn't immortal.

Argentum stared at Daemon for a moment before he burst into clear, tinkling laughter. it was such a pretty sound, and he was very clearly laughing at Daemon's statement, not at Daemon himself. "if that bothers you, there are ways around it." he admitted. "a Cruor Luna can change his mate into a Vita Luna. a member of the Life Moon people." he admitted smiling a little. "but i am shocked at how well you are handling all of this." he admitted softly. "most Cruor Luna struggle with their Human Life Mates for months, sometimes even Years before they are actually accepted." he admitted watching the other closley. "your still in shock aren't you?"

Daemon looked at the other, "Most likely. It'll really occur to me tomorrow that I'm awake for this conversation."He said sipping his tea."I'l most likely fight and bitch for months, but for the moment you should be glad I'm taking this as calmly as I am."He said laughing a little, blushing as his body hardened at the sound of the other's laugter/

he looked amused and nodded. "would you like me to leave and come back in the morning?" he asked, clearly still choking back his laughter his eyes twinkling with laughter. "i'll even bring you breakfast." he offered standing up and running a hand through his hair hesitating a moment. "will you be alright here alone?" he asked, nervous. "is there anyone you can call to come and stay with you?"

Daemon shook his head, biting his lip."N-no. I just moved here, I dont know anyone."He said his shoulders hunched, because he didn't make friends fast, and crowds made him nervous so in the few weeks tht he'd been living here, he hadn't met anyone that he liked."You...you could stay here if you want..."He offered smiling a little. Despite not being a good people person, he trusted silver.

he blinked a little looking startled. "well, welcome to the city then." he stated calmly, hesitating a moment. "if you are sure?" he asked softly looking worried at the other. Argentum was a little concerned for his new found Life Mate. "i think you should sleep Daemon." he muttered softly. "come, i will help you to bed, everything will be better in the morning." he promised standing up and gently pulling the other to his feet and guiding him into the bedroom, laying him down and tucking him in before turning out the lights before settling onto the couch for his own sleep. nothing happening in the night, and when Daemon woke Argentum was still asleep on the couch, looking like some sort of Snow Angel or a prince of ice, so pale and slender it was hard not to think of him as beautiful. even though the Cruor Luna was terrified how Daemon would react, he slumbered peacefully, as if he didn't have a worry in the world.

Daemon yawned as he stumbled down the stairs, sleepily observing the man sleeping on his couch before sinking down next to him, cuddling against the cruor luna as he slept, not wanting to get up yet, because it meant having to face the things that were true. The shock was starting to wear off, and he didn't want to have to think yet. So he settled against the other, drifting to sleep though not really. More dozing then anything.

Argentum's eyes snapped open as soon as Daemon touched him, looking startled as the other cuddled into him before smiling, pulling him into a hug, gently nuzzling the back of his neck, getting a good smell of his scent, sighing softly. holding him while the other was still half asleep, because he knew that once Daemon was awake he was going to deny everything. every single thing.

It was late morning when daemon got up, cooking them both breakfast, sputtering when the other came in."No.That wasn't a vampire last night. No. It was just some insane person pretending. You lie."He said. His mind believed it, but his heart, oh his heart wanted to believe that argentum was telling the truth

Argentum smiled at the others protests, his head tilted. "oh? just pretending?" he asked looking amused. "well, i suppose that could be." his tone was mocking as he settled at a chair. "i can prove it to you." he admitted picking up a fork off the table. "would you like me to?" he smirked, holding the fork in the flat of his hand, his eyes fixed on Daemon. "watch." he ordered softly, the fork rising up off of the Cruor Luna's hand and heading over to the pan that Daemon was cooking in, spearing a piece of bacon and carrying it back to Argentum, who plucked it off the fork, and slid it effortlessly into his mouth, not getting a bit of grease on himself. "does that make you beleive at all?"

Daemon frowned hard, studying the other as he tilted his head."It... how did you do that?"He said not looking afraid, more surprised and curious then anything. He'd spent so many years wanting to believe, that it was hard to believe now that he had prove of it

he smiled a little. "Telekinesis." he admitted with a small smirk. "one of the many abilities that a Cruor Luna has." he admitted. "Keep your eyes on me, keep staring, keep staring." and then he was gone, just like that, no warning, just gone. "Displacement."Argentum stated leaning against the doorway, a small smile on his lips. "though humans usually call it Telaportation." he smiled a little. "need more proof?" he asked pausing as he looked around, pondering what else to do before smirking. "and of course the Cliche." he teased turning tot he wall and walking up it, much like Dracula does in VanHelsing. now standing upside down on the ceiling, smirking at him. "beleive me now Daemon?" Argentum was very clearly amused at Daemon's lack of belief, and he looked a great deal more in his element now that Daemon was complaining that it all wasn't real. Argentum had prepared for disbelief, he knew how to react now.
