The day was perfect most would say, the sun in the sky but with a bit of cloud control up there an a good little breeze to keep you cool enough that almost anyone could enjoy being outside today. People were out in droves so to speak after all it was the perfect day, well that and it was the weekend most people had their free time to do what they wanted on the weekend. But on a day like this the campus playboy and relative jock was not so free, sure he did not have much to do but he did have to return a book to the library before they charged him for it. As he passed a few girls he winked at them and they giggled, ah yes life was good he thought to himself as he made his way past the fountain in the center of the campus, seeing a couple of girls sitting on the edge of it he grinned. Leaning down a bit as he walked by he scooped his hand into the water and sent a small splash there way getting their backsides wet and earning a little squeal of surprise from the two of them. When they both turned to look who it was with angry faces their anger turned to embarrassed surprise, they saw him and knew who he was instantly and just to get attention from him was more than they had expected especially on a Saturday, he was usually out on his own or already clubbing by the afternoon with a posse of friends and followers. It wasn't that he didn't want to but hey he would rather get his book back instead of being charged money for it, he had just borrowed it to help with an assignment that had been canceled to his annoyance, now he was outside the library.

Now as to who this playboy of the campus was well that would be, Damon the guy who could get any girl he wanted or so they said that had not been proven yet, unrivaled in the popularity area. In the jock area Damon was an all around guy, but the official team he was on was the basketball team their main scorer with great speed and accuracy. Damon stood at about six feet tall exactly, his body build was lean but built wiry with muscle so in a way someone could say his build was deceptive, he always liked to think that way at least. He weight in at about one hundred and sixty five pounds pretty light for a guy but he needed to be if he was going to be fast, his skin was not tan but not pale instead it was a mix of both appealing to most. His eyes were a deep orange color almost a burnt orange color like you would see in the dying embers of a fire, it matched his hair quite nicely which was almost crimson in color though oddly enough he did not have the strangest hair color on campus. Since he was not out clubbing he was not dressed up for it either as that would have been a waste, all he wore right now as a white T shirt a pair of black pants and for his feet he was wearing flip flops. Anyone who saw him right now and did not know him would think him to be one of the many slackers still in college because their parents were paying for it all, luckily almost everyone knew Damon or else he would have a bad image at the moment.

He walked up the steps of the library and entered quickly as he just wanted to get done with the book, he figured he could just hand it off to one of the assistants that were always working for extra credit. A couple of times he had returned a book to find a cute little assistant waiting to help him 'return' the book in the back but that didn't happen to often, when he got into the library he could feel the cool air from the AC and looked around for someone to give the book to. But of course when you look for someone you could not find them, so here he was looking through the aisles of books with almost no one in the library or so it seemed. He just wanted to hand off the book but instead he was playing where's waldo but in reality this time just great he thought.

The last thing normal people want to do is be stuck in a building on the weekend. Let alone that building be full of dusty old books dating back to who knows when. However, Katie wasn't really that normal. She loved staying in the library, and could so for hours on end. It was that love that made her sign up to be a library assistant for roughly 20 hours a week. In return she was getting 3 credits towards her major. Unlike her odd love for books, everything else about her was completely normal. Amongst the other students who could have rainbow hair color, she pretty much blended in with the crowd. That was something she could deal with. Hell, it had been something she had been dealing with since middle school. People always found her annoying or stand-offish so she never really had any friends. This made her college choice easier since she had no real bonds to her hometown.

On campus, no one knew her name. No one knew of her odd passion, nor of her name even! Katie actually liked the fact that no matter where she went, people pretty much didn't even acknowledge her. It made life so much easier. She had own dorm room that she didn't have to share with a roommate and had all the time in the world to finish her homework. It was almost as if she was leading a care-free life. Little did she know that was going to change.

At the moment, she was in the encyclopedia section of the library reorganizing the books back into order. Some annoying punks thought it would be funny to jumble them all up. Katie didn't think so. Today she had chosen to wear a simple blue jean skirt, pink t-shirt with her name tag and a pair of pink tennis shoes. Her attention was pulled from her current duties as she heard someone's footsteps approaching. The other librarians had gone to a staff meeting at the English building, and no college in their right mind would come to this place on the weekend. Other than her of course. Poking her head out from her current isle, she looked at the male approaching. He was definitely eye candy. "Excuse me, can I help you?"

Damon was about to give up searching through the library as it was just too big to be looking for one person, maybe he should have gone out clubbing with everyone else he thought with a sigh. That was when he saw a head poke out from one of the aisles and he had to blink a bit to see if he was just imagining things, but there was indeed a head there and it was a female who he did not recognize which was a bit odd as he knew almost everyone on campus. From the hardcore geeks that were destined to get some kind of big time job, to the worst of the slackers that just stayed around he knew them all, but this cute face that was looking at him was not someone he knew too well. He actually had to think quite hard the name escaped him but he was certain that he knew it, he just had to think a little harder is all he told himself as she spoke to him now. As she asked if she could help him he held up the book in his head and continued walking over to her, now he walked into her aisle and he got a full look at her, he was not even trying to hide the fact that he was looking at her as well most girls who knew him liked to be looked at by him.

He flashed her a warm smile that he often used to warm up an angry or cold woman, it was a great little weapon of his to charm his way through a lot of things. "Well I don't know about that miss, all I needed was an assistant or librarian to help me get rid of this book before it's late, but a cute girl like you wouldn't happen to know where any are would you?". His tone was playful and silky, seeming to caress the ears of whoever heard it after all he was always looking to impress and who knew maybe she would be one of those playful assistants he thought jokingly. Honestly he could not tell from the simple exchange of words yet, he would need to see how she reacted to his compliments and how she held her body to see what kind of girl she was. It was actually quite easy to read a person's body language especially when you knew what to look for, Damon had learned to pick out even the smallest of gestures to read a person closely, though his main use for this was using it on young woman to make them do what he wanted.

She quickly noted that the unknown male had no idea who she was, as usual. It was to be expected of course. However, she didn't expect him to look at her the way he did. To her it seemed like he was trying to figure out who she was exactly. It wasn't often that someone took the time to try and identify her. It didn't matter though. As soon as she helped him, he would most likely go on his way and never see her again, or something like that. Katie set down the large encyclopedia in her arms and turned back to face him, a very large blush on her face as she saw the next look that appeared. As soon as her cheeks held the red tinge, she bit her lip out of habit. The whole lip biting was a rather bad habit she had been unsuccessfully trying to break. It wasn't until he spoke that her attention was drawn from a patch of carpet she suddenly found interesting back to his face. Even then, it took her a minute to form complete thoughts.

It wasn't often that she found herself in this kind of position. The type where a ridiculously hot guy was sort of flirting with her. To her dismay, she wasn't handling the whole situation very well. "Um, well.." Katie just wanted to smack herself in the head and hide in the next hole in the ground. A dark corner would work too. Katie shook her head and tried to reclaim whatever dignity she had left. "You.."She licked her lips, then smiled at him again, "You happen to be in luck then. I think I'll be able to help you." She maintained her smile as she went around him and back to the front desk. Her hands were clasp together behind her back as she walked. "You're lucky you found me." Glancing back at him, she made sure he was following her. "Otherwise you're book wouldn't of been checked in until tomorrow afternoon." She looked forward again, and withheld a grin. She figured that once she regained her composure, she would seem like less of an idiot.

Damon could still not remember the name of this girl but he knew it started with a K, he was so close to remembering the name as it hung off the tip of his tongue but did not fall from it so he could say it. He would figure it out soon enough as he knew he had a class with her at some point and the name was just hanging about waiting to come out, so for now he switched his attention back to her as she was looking at him a bit bemused at his actions so far. So far he figured that she was a bookworm type girl that kept to herself in order to make sure no one else could talk to her or interact in any way, his main reasons for assuming this was the fact that she was here alone and that she was hesitant in answering him while a large blush spread across her cheeks from his words. When she bit her lip his warm smile turned to a bit of a grin he could not help it as she was the perfect prey for a guy like him, insecure and shy not used to compliments of a handsome male hitting on her this kind of girl could be pushed to do many things quite easily if one was savvy enough to know what to do with them which Damon was.

He waited as she attempted to form rational thoughts while blushing, she started to speak now only to stop and that made him smile a bit more as it was a cute thing to see how nervous she was already. When she shook her head he arched an eyebrow wondering what she might be doing now it seemed that was her way of making her mind go back into a functioning state. A little odd he had to admit but a bit funny to watch, now she began to speak again slowly as if testing the waters with him, she had to pause after saying a word to lick her lips and bring a little shy smile to her lips. It seemed that she had gotten a bit of nerve now as she spoke saying that he happened to be in luck as she could most likely help him with his problem. He followed her now as she walked away and he found his eyes watching the movement of her hips and ass closely, "well that is very true your cute and you can help great combo there" he said playfully as she went to the front desk. As she said that if she wasn't here today he would have had to turned it in tomorrow afternoon which made him wince, "oh that would have been a late fee right there" he said in a joking tone as he set the book on the front desk.

Another blush stained her face as she heard him call her cute once again. This was probably the most anyone had ever complimented her within a day. "I'm, uh, glad you think so." She said, trying to remain calm. Katie knew she was acting rather silly, but she was pretty strange like that. Once she reached the large circluar library desk, she lifted up part of the counter and slipped inside. It was unfortunate that she was alone, or she would of passed this on to another aid or librarian that got a kick from students like him. "Yeah. Late fees are a rather big pain, but we can't get the students to return the books otherwise." She shrugged and pressed the power button on the computer. A humming noise filled the air as it slowly kicked on.

She sighed softly and turned to face him, taking note once again at out cute he was. "So now the usual crap." Katie smiled at him, "Hello. Welcome to the campus library. My name is Katie, how can I assist you this evening?" Those were the rehearsed lines that were pounded into your head if you were to become an idea. It was the job of an aid to help the students anyway possible. Her hand moved over and turned on the monitor, the old thing slowly flickering to life. They really needed to get a new one before the old thing died and all the information was lost.

(Sorry for the wait my computer crashed had to get a new hard drive and all that junk.)

Damon could not help but grin as Katie blushed again, she was totally the shy type that tried to keep to herself so people would kind of just pass by her even though she was probably a lot of fun to hang around. She was also one of the easiest to manipulate or play with seeing as she had a submissive personality maybe subdued would be better as she was a bit outgoing rather than being a complete shut in like some women he had met. He could already tell she was warmed up for him as well she was smiling and blushing but still talking back normally rather than trying to hide herself away somehow, she was the cute girl that had to be persuaded to do things that she normally wouldn't but she did not seem highly resistant too much so far he thought to himself as she went behind the counter now. As she agreed that late fees were a pain he flashed her a warm confident grin, it was the kind that could melt the heart of almost anyone he knew it would help him break through any little walls she had around her.

He let her turn the computer on without a word so she could feel a little more at ease, he was watching her every movement to get a better idea of who she was and how she acted. When she turned to face him he gave her a small smile rather than that warm confident grin as if he used it too much she would probably think him to be like every other guy using a grin to seem cocky. She smiled back and went through what seemed to be words out of a book and asked if she could help him, he laughed lightly at her little proper work etiquette. "Well Katie you could help by turning this book in and looking a little less beautiful for me as it is a little distracting" he said in a playful tone as he held out the book to her and then gave her a wink. He figured he could have her all over him in a few minutes with a bit of charm and a dominating or at least a confident aura around him.
