What could she possibly do on a rather slow, tediously boring Saturday morning? Lily White was drawing a long, frustrating blank. She had already managed to clean up the single bedroom and bath apartment she had moved into prior three weeks ago. The change of scenery was enlightening, as the harsh environment of the bustling city was simply too much for the naturally sweet, tender hearted young bunny to take. In fact, it had nearly been the death of her on multiple accounts. Many of her friends, family included, had urged her to settle somewhere outside of the metropolis, and when she was nearly bombarded with their insistence to the point that it was all they talked about, she caved in. However, no matter how stubborn she was, she had to admit she liked it. A lot. It was comforting to know that the only thing she had to worry about now, was the weather.
Today's weather consisted of mildly gloomy clouds hanging heavily within the distance, threatening to bring a shower of rain to her town. It wouldn't be bothersome, though. The new garden she had practically slaved over would enjoy the sprucing of nutrients. The maturing vegetables had already been watered today, however, and she positively could not tolerate sitting alone in her house, with nothing to do. She opted to take a shower and hoped someone, or something, would manage to mend her mounting frustration. Ever since she had been a young child, Lily had always been the energetic type. She was outgoing, friendly, and never afraid to make new friends. In fact, she yearned to meet people. It was something that made her happy, despite the popular belief that most people would quickly shut her down. It was as if her smile was infectious, and surely it helped that she was quite the adorable catch as well. From the outlandishly large-set glasses she consistently wore, to the soft purple hue of her fur, the young bunny was the epitome of purity.
However, her ex-lovers would happily vouch for the fact that she was far from the innocent type when it came to physical attention.
That was besides the point, though, and no one needed to know such intimate details.
The fresh scent of vanilla wafted through the air heavily, forcing a content whimper of pleasure to resound within her throat. She had voted against a simple shower, and went with a grand bubble bath. Lily deserved it, didn't she? It had been a busy week for her at the bookstore, the casual job of stocking and helping customers having heightened tremendously over the past month. Perhaps it had a lot to do with the rising tourist season, she wasn't sure. Or, maybe everyone was needing a new book. Either way, Lily was there through it all, and it often left her feet sore and her back muscles cramped. At the moment however, she was perfectly at ease. Her head tipped back and settling against the lip of her tub, whilst her toes wiggled along the bubbly surface of the tepid water. If only every day could begin like this, hm? Then maybe everyone would be happier.
Her life in general did seem enjoyable, and she truly had nothing to complain about. Nonetheless, she was considerably lonely now. Her last relationship had ended on bad terms, due to her previous boyfriend growing a bit too jealous. Lily, naturally, gained a lot of attention and she reveled in it, simply because she was the friendly type. She always fought to see the good in people, and when that often led her into some compromising positions, he simply could not understand. Thus, they broke it off mutually, and it ultimately left her heartbroken. She was still trying to recover from that steep fall, and though she was scared to even chance a relationship...she was lonely. She missed the warmth of another body next to her own, the little details of holding hands and whispering sweet nothings into each other's ears. It was all just too wonderful!
But, at the moment, the only company she had were the tickling suds of her scented bubbles.
