The moon was just shifted past the full that night, the clouds hardly settled in the sky. The howls of wolves were loud in their call for the hunt and mates. But the calls weren't what sent a shiver of anticipation down his spine: It was the lack of sounds from what was nearby. He could hear for miles out if he focused, and all he heard were wolves. Not a single bird or rat moved that night, which meant there were predators nearby. Yes, he was a predator, but this was all around, a group coming towards him - or just his mind turning on him from the pressures of the war.

The damnable war had been going on for as long as he had been alive. Longer, by far. He was sure there wasn't a single soul that wasn't affected by it in the Vampire clans. He looked only to be 20, but his mind felt much older than his 900 years of age, and Alexander de Vaux was more cautious than he use to be. The war had killed many people that he knew, and he killed a lot of people in vengeance for their deaths. Nobody was colder than he was in the face of a blade, not when his life was on the line. Yet he was waning from fighting, wanting to just enjoy his seclusion, away from duties with the Vampire Council.

Yet it would seem that more of the past was coming to get him, and as he threw on a traveling cloak and threw open the doors of the Main Hall, he was tackled down, hit hard in the stomach and knocking the air out of him. How could he be to stupid to go for the front to escape? But the thought left his mind as his fingers turned to claws, burying into the man's shoulder and throwing him off. He would not die this day.

He charged through a woman in bronze armor as he bulleted through the door, then was promptly hit in the side with a thick piece of steel. He went down for a moment, but the moment was all that they needed to throw a net over him. A steel mesh net, making it unable to cut through with anything natural that he could conjure up. More Lycans came up, sealing the net and dragging him off. He reached through, gouging a few of those carrying him, one getting cut to the muscle tissue, but his efforts were cut short with another hard blow with the steel branch to the back of his head. Black spots appeared in his eyes before he fell unconscious to the blow.

The Lycans around the fallen Vampire undid the net, putting shackles on his hands and ankles, and gagging him, before throwing the body back into the net. The band of kidnappers dragged him through the forest and through valleys, eventually reaching the castle of one rather powerful Lycan...

The night seemed to be dragging on, creeping by at a glacial pace making Lydia Eridian simply ache with both frustration and anticipation. Another group had been sent out earlier in the evening, just after sundown, to begin their hunt, hunts that had become all too regular as of late, hunts that she was hoping would one day be productive.

Lydia paced back and forth as the night wore on. Her brother, Philip, glared at her as she walked back and forth and back again, a glowering grimace plastered across his grizzled face. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see him watching her and it unsettled her. Finally, she turned to look at him, her fierce dark eyes flashing with a sudden burst of anger.

“Look the other way, Philip,” Lydia spoke, her voice a strange sort of calm.

Philip just continued to stare at her, his lips turning upward into a sly grin. It was clear that he felt he’d just achieved a small victory of sorts getting underneath his sister’s skin.

Running her long fingers through her thick, dark hair, Lydia scowled. She walked up to her brother and immediately slapped him across the face. She was tired of him always trying to exert authority over her. She was the eldest; she led this sect. Of course, she trusted him completely, but that didn’t give him the right to overstep the lenient bounds she gave him either.

Philip didn’t flinch as Lydia’s hand struck him, causing his lower lip to bleed ever so slightly. “Temper, temper, sister,” he responded, his voice just as calm as hers, the smile still playing on his lips as his tongue darted out to taste the bit of blood that trickled from his lip.

Lydia just eyed her brother, her blood boiling. He could be absolutely insufferable when he wanted to be. “This hunt had better be productive this time. The last few have brought me nothing but sniveling vampires who proved no more useful than the dirt on the ground.”

“Patience, sister,” Philip said which only made Lydia more frustrated.

Patience. Philip had told Lydia to remain patient far too many times for her liking, though she knew he was right. And his idea of taking the offensive and seeking out vampires to give them information to help them gain the upper hand in the war was a good one. It had served its purpose fairly well, giving them small bits of information not only on the vampire kind, but on their strategies toward winning the war over the lycans, her people. It had also served as a means of relief, allowing her and the others of her sect to release their anger on those wishing to annihilate them, trying to gain complete dominance over the night.

Just then, two wolves bounded into the room, shifting their shape into those of men. “My lady,” one of the lycans spoke as he gave her a curt bow. “We’ve found another. He may yet prove useful,” he added.

The other lycan chuckled, giving Lydia a bow. His tone and action caused Philip to quirk up an eyebrow in interest. “And if not, at least we can all have fun unleashing our wrath upon him. Vampire scum.”

Lydia nodded. “Bring him in,” she said, her voice cold, monotone, all emotion gone as her face hardened. Thoughts of how the vampires had slaughtered her parents and her oldest brother reeling through her mind. She wondered if through all of this she would ever learn which ones had been responsible for their deaths.

Just then, the two lycans shifted back into their wolf forms and scampered out of the room, ready to relay Lydia’s demand to the others who’d gone on the hunt. Within minutes, they’d returned along with the others, net in tow. Her eyes flashed as they opened the net, dumping their captive at her feet for her inspection.

Lydia kneeled down on the cold, stone floor so that she could get a better look at the vampire before her. The moment her eyes took in his face she felt a strange, warm sensation beginning to burn somewhere deep inside her body. It was odd and the pull strong. Bothered by what she was feeling, she stood up and looked away trying to regain her focus.

His head was ringing from the blow to his head even as he slowly regained consciousness, somewhat hampered by being dragged along in the net. At least once he was smacked against a tree, and now he was getting pulled up against stairs, each bump hitting him in the small of the head. He groaned against the gag in his mouth, eyes rolling before they came back into focus... a moment before he was tossed to the ground from the net, face down onto the stone floor.

He flopped a few times, moving his body to move onto his side, just as two of his captors came up, removing his gag before kicking him hard in the back. He groaned very slightly, his back arching from the force of the kick, before he got a chance to look around. Besides his captors, there were two other people in the room, and he could tell by smell that they were lycans. One, a male and further off, looked haughty and ready to kill, with a evil sneer on his face that Alexander wanted to rip off. The other was female, and...

He had to turn away, closing his eyes as he felt a surprising burst of warmth pass through his body. What was this? He never had felt that, and he had heard tales from others about how it felt to find your... No. It couldn't be that, she was a lycan. A dirty beast that only enjoyed killing. There was no way that this feeling was what others had said it was.

He opened his eyes, forcing control over his body, looking over the room again. He knew what this was about, what they wanted, and he spit on the floor in front of them. "I'm not telling you shit." He sneered. "You will have to kill me."

Lydia kept her head turned away from the vampire strewn about the floor at her feet. She just couldn’t look at him, not if she wanted to stay centered and focused. Her mind swirling, she desperately tried to make sense of what she felt happening to her. The pull she felt to the vampire was unlike anything she’d ever known and it caused her to fear the worst. To fear that she very well might be bound beyond her control to this creature, one she abhorred with all her soul. And the very ones who slaughtered her family before they’d been rescued by the wolves they now had privilege to help lead.

All immortals were said to have lifemates, though most never found them. The thought of being bound to a vampire was almost too much for Lydia to bear. Closing her eyes briefly, she took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. She needed to remain calm, in control. She couldn’t let her brother see her crumbling, as she knew she was. It was only a matter of time before she wouldn’t be able to hold up her façade and she knew it.

Finding the smallest bit of resolve, Lydia turned to face the vampire, her dark eyes narrowed into malicious slits. “Brother, take your leave,” she stated, her voice so cold it sent shivers up and down her own spine. She then nodded at the others who’d brought the vampire in, her way of demanding that they go.

Without protest, all left but Philip. He looked at his sister, his face twisted with fury. “Anything you have to say to this vile creature can and must be said in front of me.”

Lydia snapped her head to look at her brother, her eyes wild with anger. “Do not cross me, brother and do as I say. I am elder to you, leader of this sect. You must do as I say.”

A deep growl resonated in Philip’s throat, letting Lydia know that he didn’t take well to her demands. It was a warning that she’d crossed too far over the line and that if pressed, he’d take matters into his own hands whether she was his elder or not.

Lydia held her position, her face immovable porcelain as she stared back into her brother’s eyes. She couldn’t crack now, she had to stand her ground. Swallowing, she waited to see what Philip would do. On the outside she was calm, on the inside she was screaming. But, in the end, he gave her a bow and left the room, the heavy wooden doors slamming behind him.

Immediately, Lydia ran over to the doors, barring them shut. Leaning her back against them, she nearly lost it, all but collapsing as she tried to catch her breath. Licking her lips, she looked over at the vampire now staring at her, his face unreadable, the pull so very strong. Not knowing why, she began to walk toward him.

Alex was surprised to have seen such a influencing display of power in front of him, sending a shiver of deja vu from before his capture, when others of the Council wished to have him guarded, but he sent them away. He felt the renewed rush of heat through his body, and his eyes crammed shut for a moment, his mind forcing control over his body. These creatures were dogs, reviled beasts against nature that destroyed the natural order of things.

So say most about Vampires.

He cursed the little voice in the back of his head. It was right, Vampire were just as reviled by other races for being 'undead creatures of the night,' when that wasn't true. But folklore and superstition was hard to overcome, especially when it came to humans. But he wouldn't become one of the inane and inept that fed off of animals, nor would he become one of the insane that didn't feed at all.

The subordinates left the room without a word, but the man seemed to be throwing a fit. The man - her brother? It seemed like it - fought verbally tooth and nail before the woman was able to turn him away, begrudgingly going to the door. The woman rushed to the door once it was closed, locking it and falling to the ground. Another spike of emotion he didn't know he had washed over him, and he shook it out of his head before she looked at him. He could read the look on her face, that hungry and needy look as she stood up, licking her lips as she advanced towards him.

"No. Don't come any closer." He said, a sound almost like fear in his voice as he saw the look, feeling something similar just behind the mask that was his face. His legs and body moved him, worming backwards, though he was moving at a pace that was much slower than the lycan's footfalls. "I probably taste disgusting, you'll get sick afterward..."

The vampire’s words were lost upon Lydia’s ears. She knew he’d taste divine. His blood, his skin, his everything. The very thought of her lips on his body, his hands touching hers sent shivers up and down her spine.

Lydia suddenly felt like her mind had somehow separated itself from the rest of her body, leaving her in a thick, heavy fog that was impossible to navigate without the most expert of assistance. She felt lost, having nothing but pure instinct to rely upon. But, given the moment, the pull, the warmth… she far from trusted those instincts. And as a lycan, such a thing made her more than confused, upset and frustrated.

The closer Lydia got to the vampire before her, the more her body began to react. She sneered when she felt her skin flush pink, the moisture between her legs pooling, dying for him to taste her. Her mind was screaming at her, sending out warnings that demanded her attention. But her body wouldn’t let her rational side win in this battle. It didn’t care about the past, the fact that her life had been altered forever by others of his kind. The fact that her brother would unleash his wrath upon her if he could see her now.

Lydia’s dark eyes glazed over, her hearing muffled as she watched the vampire slowly back away from her. As her eyes locked with his, she knew instantly that he felt the same pull as she. But that only angered her further. It made her want to slap him, to make him bleed. She wanted it to stop.

Lifemates. The very idea that those who came before the immortals would curse her so, forcing her to long for the touch of a vampire made her want to wretch. It was a cruel and sadistic joke. One that had to be stopped before it began.

“Make it stop,” Lydia said, her voice even. Though she didn’t specify what she wanted the vampire to stop, she knew he was well aware of what she was speaking about. He could deny it all he wanted; she knew he felt it too. “Make it go away.” As she spoke, she continued to move ever forward, her body trembling as the vampire continued to back away from her, whether it be in fear or shock, she had no idea.

Swallowing, Lydia’s hands moved up about her shoulders, slowly unclasping the blue gown that she wore. It fell loosely about her body. A simple shift and the garment would pool at her feet like water. She felt mortified as her body defied her mind, humiliated beyond belief. She just hoped that the others, especially Philip, never found out about what was happening to her so swiftly, so unexpectedly. It would cause an uproar with not only her sect, but the entire race of lycans. More than anything, she wanted the war to end, the lycans the victors… but now that those who came before the immortals were laughing and mocking her, she didn’t see how that would be possible now.

She kept moving forward, as though she was ignoring him, his pleas for her not to continue on with feeding the hunger that was emanating through her. Though him, try as he might to deny it. He could smell her arousal, the dampness between her thighs, and it make his length as hard as a rock, no matter how hard he tried to quell it. To be defiled in such a way angered and frustrated him, but to be defiled and killed in the bloodlust of a Lycan... the idea was unbearable to him. He would rather give up the secrets of the war than have it happen, but he knew there was no words that would push her back.

He heard her then, as he had moved a good few feet, even if she was closer than that, nearly. Her words were almost begging like his were, and for a moment he felt pity for someone that had such difficulty fighting off her instincts, even those as strong as the ones he was fighting. He was having trouble as well, only helped by centuries of training and being tied down. He knew a few ways that he could have helped her, but...

She was a lycan. A dirty lycan that only brought him here to torture him for information, then kill him. And yet here she was, now moving to disrobe herself as she went to take care of a need as basic as breathing. A sense of pity for her, as well as self-preservation filled him as he decided to help her. But biting her was out of the question: He would drain her and kill her, then get killed. Nor did he want that reviling... sweet and flaming blood in his mouth. He shook his head to get that desire out of it. There was only one way that he could help her, and he had only one wish at the moment for him to.

"I will help, but you nor your clan must kill me. This is my price, and there will be no negotiation. Now, lower the barriers of your mind." He waited a few moments before he locked eyes with hers, his own eyes nearly matching hers with desire, even if his body didn't. His mind propelled into her body, taking control with fierce determination, first stopping her forward movement. He made sure to hold his power over her, though he could feel it slipping slowly... without full control on his own, he could feel the effects of the bond, his body squirming in a heat that he was foreign to.

He made sure to have her move quickly then. Grabbing her Gown, pulling it back on before sitting in a nearby chair, he waited until her mind solidified its hold on her body before he released her mind, his own control back in his body, forcing it to behave.

Lydia couldn’t believe the vampire’s words. Did he truly think she’d kill him? That she’d allow anyone she ruled over, even her brother, to kill him? There was absolutely no way in hell that she’d let anyone, save herself, touch him. He was hers and he had to know it, had to feel it. And yet the very thought of that made her want to rip his throat out with her teeth.

Suddenly, Lydia shook her head a little, trying her best to ignore the bonding threads she felt pulling her ever closer to the vampire before her. Disgusted and revolted by her body’s defiant actions, she let out the smallest of growls. Somehow she had to resist this urge, there had to be a way. The entire scene was more than humiliating.

Just then, the vampire stared into Lydia’s eyes. Unblinking and unable to look away, she suddenly felt a nudge at her mind. She instantly knew what was happening. That damned vampire was invading her mind, controlling her with his power. Another small growl resonated within her throat. She’d meant for it to be as a show of anger, but as the sound struck her ears, she knew it wasn’t that. It was something else entirely. It was acceptance, lust, acknowledgment of the pull and desire she felt for him.

Letting her mind go blank, succumbing to the vampire’s will, Lydia let him do as he’d promised. To help her. As she let him control her, trusting him to do as he said, she couldn’t help but wonder how he managed to stay so calm, to push away all the feelings she was sure he was experiencing. What made him so strong? What made her so weak?

Lydia’s hands, moving with a will that was not her own, began to refasten her gown, securing it so that the vampire could no longer see any part of her body that he shouldn’t. Eyes wide, she suddenly moved to sit in a nearby chair. Swallowing, she felt the moment he let go of her mind, gave her back the control. Breathing heavily, she stared at him, blinking several times before she finally turned her head away from him.

“Speak, vampire. And you can begin by telling me your name,” Lydia hissed, her body aching to join with this creature she hated, a being she didn’t even know, a beast her kind were supposed to destroy.

He had relinquished control of his body, and even in the few moments that his mind had given up control over himself, the beast inside roared to life, the beast that he had fought to keep under control this whole time. It had been dormant until he had gotten near her, getting restless before erupting in full lust. The behavior of the beast was unlike his own mental discipline, the animation of carnal needs inside him. The other lycans he wanted to rip, rend, destroy for taking capture of him, to end their existences painfully.

But this one in front of him... the beast knew that this was its mate. It wanted to rend, but not flesh. It wanted to rip, but only a very specific little blood. It wanted to destroy, but those others that dared to take her away from him. It wanted to fully bond, to be physically in tune to her. But most of all, above all little nuances, it wanted HER, to mate, to have him take her by force if necessary. And before, it could only be seen through his eyes, though his mind controlled the rest.

Now, as his mind returned to his body, the beast took hold, moving forward, tongue moistening his lips as he fought against the bonds. But they were too strong to be simply released. He was well disciplined, though, and he quickly gained control of his body, forcing it to go limp for a moment before he turned to face her. Yet the lust that was burning inside for this lycan showed purely in his eyes, even if he would deny it.

"I am Alexander de Vaux." He said, in a low growl that partially gave away his hidden disposition. The threat in it even sounded playful to his ears, and he cut it short. "I may have saved your sanity, if not your life. I have no intentions of dying here. Nor do I plan on telling you anything. I went into your mind just to get you back in control. But it is a taxing thing to do prolonged, and I have not fed. So do excuse me if I run at the first moment I have."

Lydia continued to keep her head turned away from the vampire as he told her both his name and how he didn’t plan to cooperate. The moment his growl struck her ears, her dampened sex began throb with need. Stifling the whimpers she felt bubbling up from her chest, she crossed her legs and desperately tried to hide the scent of her arousal filling the air. Angry, frustrated, she bit down on her tongue, making it bleed, trying to let pain replace the lust she felt growing inside her body. These sensations washing over her ever since she laid eyes on that vampire were becoming more and more difficult to resist. Even with anger coursing through her veins, she found herself wanting to give in. Needing to give in.

“You are not going anywhere, Alexander,” Lydia spoke, her voice a façade of icy calm. “You will stay here and you will do as you’re told.” Just then, she turned her head, her dark eyes locking onto his.

Looking into Alexander’s eyes was Lydia’s first mistake. Again, she lost control over her senses, her body and mind separating, no longer working together. All rational thought disappeared and melted into nothing. Standing up, she licked her lips as she approached him once more. This time, she managed to stay her hands, but the look in her eyes said it all. She wanted to bond with him and she wanted it now.

“I know you’ll comply,” Lydia then added, a coy smile playing over her moistened lips. “You’ve no choice.” She continued to move toward Alexander until there bodies were merely an inch apart. Breathing heavily, she dared let one of her delicate fingers touch his skin. Instantly, she felt a heated jolt move across her skin, causing every part of her body to tingle.

Her eyes fixed on Alexander’s, Lydia knew that her words contained double meaning. She wasn’t just referring to his current situation of being a captive to lycans, but to the fact that, like her, he was also in need, being pulled ever toward someone they loathed for no other reason than for what they were.

Panting, Lydia moved ever closer to Alexander, her lips a mere breadth away from his own. She wanted to press hers against his, for the two of them to seal their fate by letting go and giving in to the base instincts and desires now forcing them together.

The heat passing between the two of them was more than overwhelming. Lydia knew she couldn’t withstand him much longer. If he were to touch her now out of his own free will, she’d be his for the taking. Right there, in the throne room.

What the hell was wrong with him, what was going on with his body and mind that he was being so enthralled by this lycan in front of him. It was sad penance that he wasn't the only one affected, making it that much harder for him to resist, yet he did. But his power and resistance was wearing thin through her slow torturous methods, even if she herself fought it off.

She turned to him, and he could see in her eyes that her mind was separating from her body. Yet he refused to dive back into her mind and leave his behind once more, knowing what the beast inside him wanted. He couldn't let it get a hold of him again for fear of what it would do to him. She moved closer to him, and he could see in her eyes that it was of her own volition. She was doing this on purpose!

His control and walls were wearing thin, feeling her so close to his body. Her lips were so close to his own, and her heavy breathing sent the smell of sweet blood over his lips and nose, his fangs extending and aching for a taste of her. The touch on his skin sent a fiery shock that made his length bob in anticipation. For the first time in centuries, Alexander was afraid, for both his life and for his honor. How could he take what he hated most to bed? His eyes locked onto hers, showing her just how close he was to breaking. His very clothes were slowly phasing out, first his shirt, then his pants, rendering him nude to her gaze. The smell of her own arousal made his tongue moisten his lips, though he did not want a taste as long as he was sane.

"Please." He whispered. "Do not untie me. I cannot control my actions now... It would be catastrophic to our very beings..." And he couldn't control his own blood lust now, his head pushing forward so his lips met hers. It was a demanding and passionate kiss, his tongue taking siege on her mouth, dancing around her tongue, sealing the bite she had done and draining every drop of her sweet and spicy blood that it could. But it wasn't enough for his hunger, he wanted more.

Lydia moved with slow purpose, her hands gently caressing Alexander’s arms as she noticed him using his powers to melt his clothes off his body, his fangs fully extended making her ache to feel them sinking into her flesh. She smiled at the sight of him before her. For the first time, she could plainly see that he wanted her as much as she wanted him. Like her, trying so very hard to resist, but failing. For once they were on equal ground and it made her body radiate warmth. Regardless, she had no intentions of admitting just how absolutely delicious-looking he was to her eyes at that moment. They may have been on equal ground, but she wanted him to see that she still had the upper hand. So, with agonizing slowness, her dark eyes locked onto his, her hands began to work at the bonds holding him prisoner.

More than anything, Lydia wanted to feel Alexander against her, their bodies moving in a torturous rhythm until they exploded in a symphony of rough pleasure, their bodies both spent and sated like never before. She could see he wanted it too. The way his mouth watered, his eyes flashed. The way his words and tone contradicted each other as he pleaded she leave him tied up. Every instinct she had, every part of her lycan body screamed in agony. It wanted this vampire so very badly, yet the repulsion it felt was raw and on the surface for both to see.

No longer caring about their differences, lycan versus vampire. No longer caring about the war and who won. No longer caring about her brother and the others she led, Lydia continued to allow her fingers to deftly work at the ropes holding Alexander back. She had no idea what would be unleashed the moment he was free. Whether he’d run or try his best to kill her. But somehow that didn’t matter. The bond she felt for him was too strong now, her body needing to succumb to all that he could give her, all that he could take. To be with him, if even only once, she would take it, no regrets whatsoever. Her mind was swirling, all rational thought gone. Opening her eyes for a moment so that she could look into his, their bodies close as their lips were pressed together in the most passionate of kisses, she felt the last of the ropes fall to the floor.

This sinful little woman was wearing away at his mind and all the bonds that he had put upon himself, slowly tearing away at his restraint on himself and the beast that was within him. The beast had already won its fight, was primed to launch and conquer, to take what was rightfully his even as his mind reviled what was to come. The kiss lasted longer than he wished, his tongue dancing along hers, his fangs gently scratching at her lip as he tugged on it, then his tongue going over it for the sinful tease of her blood as he sealed it.

It was so wrong in his mind, that such a demon like this lycan had such control over him. And even then, he had such control over her, as well. And thus the power struggle wore down, both coming down to equal terms, unable to conquer the surprising needs for one another nor stop the other from having them. He could feel his physical bonds falling away even as his mental ones hung useless in his mind, and as the last of the ropes fell from his hands and slid off his feet in response, the beast took control. No longer did the rationale thinking hold up to him.

He moved faster than most could notice, pushing the lycan onto her back just before he launched himself at her, blanketing her body with his larger one, hands taking hers by the wrist and throwing them above her head, one hand holding them together. "Tell me your name so I can know who I am dominating." He whispered into her ear in a husky growl, as his knees pushed her legs apart. The dress she wore easily slid up, and his hard length was greeted by hot juices coating it as he teased it along her folds. He couldn't hold back a moment, and without time for foreplay - like it was necessary - his hips plunged him into her, a rough taking, claiming her as his own physically even as his soul got ready to claim her in other ways.

In one swift movement, Lydia found herself being thrown onto the cold, hard floor. The impact caused her to bite down on her tongue, making it bleed, the metallic taste of iron flooding her mouth. Quickly regaining her focus, she saw the vampire lunge toward her, his body covering hers like a second skin in an instant. Breathing heavily, the taste of her blood swirling about her mouth, she didn’t even try to struggle. Instead, she let Alexander have his way, though her mind protested her body’s actions at each and every turn.

“Tell me your name so I can know who I am dominating,” Alexander whispered into Lydia’s ear making her shiver in anticipation as he pried her legs apart and pushed up her dress.

As the heat between their bodies rose to scorching levels, Lydia could only let out a gasp. Her body was screaming for Alexander to claim it. Telling her over and over that he was the only one that could quench and sate the fire burning so brightly within her. Just then, not waiting for her to find her voice so as to answer his demand, he plunged himself deep inside her body.

Lydia let out a loud yelp as Alexander began to stake his claim over not just her body, but everything else as well. As he began to pump her hard, she couldn’t help but whimper. The sweetness of his claiming conflicted with the rational thought of her mind. She wanted to fight him, to fend him off, but body and instinct were winning that battle, making it clear that she had no say in what was happening between the two of them. It just was.

Unable to resist, Lydia just closed her eyes, her lips seeking Alexander’s. Her body writhed underneath his, wanting more. Needing more. She let her legs spread wider for him, letting him take what she knew was his even though she didn’t want to admit such a vile thing. And though she wanted to scream, she would never do that. It would alert the others and she couldn’t have that. Plus, the way his body felt as he thrust his hips against her body was something she’d never give up. Not now. Now that she was totally lost to his claiming.

“Lydia…” Lydia finally rasped out between pants. “My name… is Lydia…”

Lydia desperately tried to free her hands. Not to gain freedom, but so that she could touch Alexander. Grasp at his body, scratch her nails into his flesh. But he was strong, stronger than her. And it was all too clear who was doing the taking, though every part of her that was somehow bound to him loved it.

Above everything, above the pleasure of this sinful mating that should have never happened in a logical world, above buzzing of his head as the pleasures wiped his mind clean of every rational thought and instinct outside of mating, above every gasp and groan that the both of them were making, he heard the echoing roar of triumph from the beast inside him. He knew that it would be docile for a time after this, and he would be able to plan an escape... but would he be able to then? What he was doing now was above him, and already he could feel the strong bond that they had felt solidifying, soon to get even stronger.

Even through the subconscious thoughts, his mind was willing to give and sacrifice for the pleasure it was receiving. He felt her mouth find his, and he opened his lips, letting his tongue find the iron taste of blood yet again, sweeping over her tongue to stop the bleeding even as he deepened the kiss.

His mind was slowly realizing that she wouldn't want to escape, that holding her down wasn't necessary... and that he wouldn't be of much use with only one hand. His hand at her wrists slowly released, sliding down her arms in a soft and seducing manner, slowly following the trail of her side to her leg. He pulled it around his hip, drawing her ever closer, pushing him ever deeper into hot folds that drained his sanity.

"Lydia." He whispered. It was a sound that echoed through his soul, sending a shock through him that only wound him up tighter. "Lydia, Lydia, Lydia..." His lips had abandoned her mouth, slowly kissing down her cheek to her neck, feeling the hot blood pulsing fast, almost erratically from their love making. His fangs bared. HERE was a prize that both his mind and the beast could agree on, even if his mind thought it had been dirty. He had gotten a taste of her, and he wanted more...

With no need to tease, he slowly bit down, his fangs slowly piercing skin until blood pooled in his mouth, and he groaned hotly against her neck, eyes rolling to the back of his head. The blood in her mouth was sweet and hot, but this was infinitely better, addicting to its core, fresh and hot. Another groan escaped his lips as he drank deeply, his hips only able to go faster as his body was rejuvenated.

His own neck was bared, and even in his hatred and worry that she would kill him, he bared his neck to her, an offering of his own blood that would finish the bonding and hold them together forever with fibers on their very souls. He would never escape her, even if he wanted to. She would have control over him just as he had it over her.

Not that it was a bad thing anymore.

Lydia only whimpered as Alexander repeated her name over and over again, her hands held fast as he dominated her body with his own. More than anything, she ached to touch him, for him to want her to and then let her. It would show a sign of trust. She knew that. And it was a trust he’d not give so easily, not that she blamed him. But to deny the pull, the lust, the need? She couldn’t bear it.

Just then, Alexander’s grip on Lydia’s wrists loosened. She dared herself to hope that he’d allow her to explore that which she knew was hers now. If only he’d succumb as she was.

Suddenly, Alexander sank his fangs deeply into the flesh of Lydia’s neck, causing her to cry out in both ecstasy and pain, a sweet contradiction of sensations that threatened to take over her mind completely. Panting in want and need, she bucked her hips wildly against his, urging him to go deeper, to take her however he saw fit. As her hands were became free, she brought one down to caress his head, her fingers losing themselves in his hair, holding him closer, letting him feed. The other found its way to his back, her nails sinking into the skin at his shoulder, holding him tightly, making him bleed.

The sounds Alexander made as he fed from her neck made Lydia’s body ignite in ways she’d never dreamed. To think something as vile as a vampire could spark such raw animalistic urges and feelings in a lycan. It was ludicrous. Yet, it was happening. She couldn’t deny it nor did she want to. Nearly crying at how her body was reacting, she still relished each and every moment of what was transpiring between the two of them.

Suddenly, Alexander bared his neck to Lydia and instantly she knew what he wanted. Her mind reeling, her body screaming in rapture, she let her canines shift and grow, begging to be allowed the chance to bite him back. Breathing heavily, hips gyrating, she could no longer hold herself back.

In an instant her lycan senses took over. A strange sort of strength radiated throughout her body and she pushed Alexander up and then back onto the floor, not once did their bodies break contact. Looking down at him, her canines resembling those of a wolf, she gasped for air, her hands touching and caressing his chest as if marking him with her scent. Her eyes glazed with need and lust, she pounced on his neck, her own teeth biting down on his flesh, tasting the blood of the one man she knew was hers now forever.

It was such rapture, the moment in time where it seemed that he hung like a threat in a large tapestry, and he was wound around this lycan for the rest of the weaving. It was a sick sort of sense, but... this heat and emotion, it was something new and exciting, and even his rational mind thought that he would find it alright to deal with one such as her. But there was no way that this was love, this was just lust, a random deviation from the norm that he would soon get over. But even as his mind tried to explain itself out of it, the beast screamed at him for saying such things about its mate. Even now, his spirit and the animal inside knew where it belonged, even if his mind denied. But he couldn't deny that he could ever leave her side. Even if this wasn't love... this was addicting, a play on pleasures that overruled all his other senses.

He felt her hands running over him, over his back and his head, holding him to feed, as it was as though their minds connected intentionally. He could see everything she wanted, and before she even pushed at him, his fangs and pulled out of her neck, flicking against the marks and making them disappear as though they weren't there. It was a spur of the moment thing, he would have time to mark her his own way soon enough.

He went easily as she pushed for dominance, his beast letting itself become submissive to its mate for its own dominant play before. Her hands on his chest felt wonderful, and he responded with a swift push upwards with his hips, pushing deeper into her folds than she had felt thus far. A moan escaped his lips, and he tilted his head, baring his neck once more for her.

The mingling mix of pain and pleasure as she bit him, wholly different than what he had done, but so reminiscent of a Vampire bite, made him groan out, but he made sure to keep his voice down. He did not want anyone coming in and breaking up this union. He would probably kill whoever did just to prove that he would protect her like a mate should, mo matter what his mindset was before. He felt his essence being shared with her, and he resisted biting her once more, knowing that he had taken a lot from her already. His hips bucked and ground into her, pushing for more pleasure for her. She had to orgasm before him, there was no other excuse for him.

It wasn't long before he pushed up, sitting up and holding her straddling his lap. He didn't care if her clothes were on most of the way, he didn't need the off to enjoy her body and mind. Instinct took over as his mind melded with hers, and deep inside, he started a deep chant in a ancient language, the final ties to their binding together. His hips went faster, knowing his own climax was coming soon, and wanting them to come together. It wasn't long before he hit his own, hot seed filling her on the inside, his breathing hot and heavy, his eyes closed as he rested his forehead against hers as he slowed down.

Slick with sweat, hips grinding and gyrating. Lydia was totally lost to the lust consuming her whole as she drank from Alexander’s bared neck. The taste and texture of the thick serum as it filled her mouth and danced on her tongue before dripping hotly down her throat was absolutely euphoric, placing her in what seemed a darkly hypnotic trance. One where only she and the vampire existed as everything else just melted away into nothing. It was insane, intoxicating and made her crave more.

As Lydia drank her fill, she could feel Alexander try for control once more and she let him. The way his hands gripped at her body as he pounded her hard was all too addicting not to. As they continued their rhythm, engaging in an abominable act that was far from over was suddenly being sealed by magic laced with fate. The strands weaving them together tightly, never to be severed.

Lydia felt a dark shroud of something wonderful take hold of her soul as she gasped and whimpered in euphoric bliss. She could smell the faint traces of vampiric magic, but didn’t care. This was her Alexander now. And in that moment she wanted everyone, vampire and lycan alike, to know he was hers and she his.

Body tensing, nipples hardening through the wispy fabric of her gown, Lydia released Alexander’s neck from her fervent lycan’s kiss. She threw her head back as she felt a burn rise up within her core, setting it aflame. Her walls tightened, hugging his length like a vice before she screamed her release as wave after wave of pleasure wracked her shaking and trembling body. She could feel her muscles clenching hard, pulsing again and again and again, milking him for all they could as she felt him fill her up with his seed. Overcome with lust and something ‘other’, she cried out, “Alexander!”

Lydia’s shouts were loud, but not enough to rouse suspicion. That was the last thing she wanted. Interruption. She’d be damned if anyone interrupted her time with her mate.

Panting, desperately trying to take in air, Lydia collapsed against Alexander’s chest as she concentrated on his body settling from its own recent release. The feel of his skin against her cheek was heavenly, his aroma fragrant and wonderful. Breathing it in deeply she smiled, her body totally sated.

The roar of the beast inside him was echoing thorough every cell of his body, his being being shaken as he slowly fell to the floor, still feeling the pleasurable pulses of her folds gripping at him, pulsing as she milked him dry. His mind, how his again, was a blank slate. He still had hatred for the lycans, but this one... he made an exception, something temporary and tentative in case this was some dark magic that forced his hand instead of fate. But the closeness and... dare he say it... love was so close and fresh and warm inside and around him that he doubted the falseness of it.

"Lydia..." He whispered softly, a echoing breath of calmness and tranquility that he had not felt in centuries. If he somehow escaped, he thought that it would only be to retire from the war effort and to escape with her... but he knew that deep down it wouldn't be so easy. She was head of a sect of lycans, they would hunt the two of them down. Even now, it was her control that stopped the interruption of their lovemaking. He knew he would be treated as a slave and pet, but deep inside her he was a mate, and that would not be changing in a long time.

With a soft groan, he pulled his hips back, sliding out of her before his clothes appeared on him again. His shirt appeared unbuttoned, so she wouldn't be disturbed in her tranquil resting, but soon they would have to do something. His hands pushed her skirt down, and he sat up, still holding her to him.

"I don't know what that was." He whispered. "But... I shouldn't have resisted if that was real." He kissed her, a light but passionate embrace as he held her, before he looked her in the eyes, more serious.

"You'll have to do something to me to make it look like you interrogated me. They'll want my head on a platter."

Lydia could smell her scent all over Alexander just as she could smell his all over her. Lying there quite still for several moments, her head resting against his chest, she couldn’t help but smile. The idea of them bearing the scent of each other triggered something deep within her very soul, something she couldn’t explain, but something that made the lycan in her rather content. A soft growl resonated in her throat as she rubbed her face against him, nuzzling him and enjoying the fact that the lycan in her was pleased to have found its true counter part, its mate.

The moment Alexander whispered her name Lydia felt a rush of excitement wash over her body. It made her skin tingle with elation and her arms suddenly gave him a light squeeze. She could easily get used to hearing this vampire speak her name over and over, whether it be in casual conversation or the throes of passion.

Lydia whimpered with reluctance when Alexander finally shifted his body, breaking their union and phasing his clothes back onto his body. The sense of loss she had as her muscles were allowed to relax was great and she found herself yearning for the time when they’d be able to join as one once again.

As if he sensed her feelings, Alexander held Lydia close, his arms tightly about her body. He whispered against her ear, his breath warm against her skin. “I don’t know what that was. But… I shouldn’t have resisted if that was real.”

Lydia nodded, agreeing fully with Alexander’s words before he leaned in to kiss her tenderly against her soft, swollen lips. Never had she ever experienced anything quite like what she had just now. Even after the fact, she could feel the pull to him deep inside, only now it was calm, all franticness gone. It was as if the lycan in her knew it wouldn’t be denied ever again. And something about that made her feel warm.

Alexander pulled away from their kiss so that he could look into Lydia’s dark eyes, his own having grown quite serious. "You'll have to do something to me to make it look like you interrogated me. They'll want my head on a platter.”

Lydia’s mind snapped back into focus at Alexander’s words. He was right. Her brother would smell him all over her. He’d know what they’d done if they didn’t act quickly. And such a thing would break the hierarchy of her sect causing chaos and worse yet, for Philip to usurp her power. The man had been itching for a reason to take control over her lycans and this would definitely give him one.

“Oh god,” Lydia whispered as she brought a delicate hand to Alexander’s face, gently caressing his cheek. “Philip…”

Biting down on her lower lip, Lydia’s mind began to race, along with her heart, as to what to do. She knew she had to make it appear that she’d made headway in breaking Alexander down, but to do so…

Her eyes wet with unshed tears, Lydia looked at Alexander and whispered. “I have to hurt you.” The sorrow she felt could easily be heard in her voice. Gone was the strong lycan leader she’d been when he’d first been thrown at her feet. Instead, it was replaced by a lovesick girl, one who was vulnerable, afraid. Swallowing, she pressed kisses all over his face. “I don’t want to, but I don’t see any other way.”

Lydia hoped that somehow, Alexander would understand. She was in quite the position now. She ruled a sect of lycans, had a brother wishing to steal away her power. It was dire that he not only understand, but comply fully. It was the only way he’d live to see the following night, for him to be in her arms once more.

Waiting for Alexander’s reply, Lydia shifted her one hand until it resembled that of a wolf’s paw. The claws were razor sharp and the sight of them made her heart hurt as if they were piercing it, ripping it to shreds.

The look of fear in her eyes sent a wave of protective feelings through him. It was if the final piece of the bond clicked inside him, and he knew what had to be done. He was very practical about things, knew what had to be done and rarely ever shirked his duties. But he forced some control over himself, feeling the beast inside him lift its head and sniffing the air. he wasn't sure if it wanted to mate again or if it was searching out what would hurt her, but it needed to be calm. For now.

But she seemed to become a wreak, and his arms held her close, even as her hand shifted to that of a wolf paw. "I know plans within plans, Sivamet." He whispered. "I knew that you would have to hurt me. Do not be worried, it is a small price to pay. And I am resilient. Any marks you leave will be gone in a few hours. But we have to make a reason why you have my scent on you..." His hand shifted up to his neck, a finger turning to a sharp talon, and he swiped at it, cutting the main artery, shooting his blood all over her upper body and a little on her face. "Ok, lick it to seal it. Then work with that paw..."

It was short work, and he had worked with the rope to type himself back down, but he was rather torn down by the time anyone would come. His shirt was little more than scraps of fabric, his chest torn up and bleeding out. He was able to slow the bleeding, and he had fed, so he had little worries about it.

Lydia inhaled a shallow, shaky breath, her head nodding automatically as Alexander told her he understood what needed to be done. That he would be willing to go through whatever was necessary in order to protect themselves after what had just happened between them. In that moment, she felt a deep sense of pride and admiration for her mate, only confirming what her body had somehow known though her mind had tried so desperately to resist it. Slowly her mind was beginning to accept the choice her body and soul had made, however. And she was finding that she was glad of this. Glad that her mind had lost the initial battle.

Just then, Alexander swiped at his neck, his crimson blood spilling forth like a beautiful fountain promising life and more. His hot blood poured down his body and then spurted onto Lydia’s, coating her skin and soiling her gown.

Watching the red liquid bead and roll on her skin put Lydia in a daze. The feel of Alexander’s blood caressing her flesh made her feel warm all the way to her core, as if in his embrace once again. The sensation was overwhelming, leaving her completely mesmerized. Closing her eyes briefly, she allowed her body to focus and feel his blood blanketing her body, keeping her safe, driving her mad with want.

Lydia opened her eyes and looked at her one hand she’d shifted into it’s wolf paw form. With a heavy heart, she ripped at Alexander’s clothes and then at his body. She did it quickly, trying to ease both his and her pain. But before long, he was bleeding heavily, his scent heavy in the room.

Dark eyes wide, Lydia wanted to scream in agony. But she needed to hold on. Just a bit longer. She pressed her lips against Alexander’s as he lay there bleeding, clothes torn, on the floor. She tied him up once again and regained her composure. Taking a deep breath, she headed toward the door and opened it, calling for her brother and the others to enter.

She was ruthless, just as he wanted her to be. He could feel his skin being sliced and fleshed like it was being filleted. He could feel every drop of essence leaving his body, sweet blood that was his life, even though he could get by as a starved creature without it. He felt a lot leave, almost as much excess he had taken from her when they had shared with each other. But it was necessary, since they would know he fed if he wasn't near starving from bleeding out so much.

He saw her cross the room, and his mind entered hers, issuing soothing words of comfort. I will be alright. You can always contact me with our connection, and nobody else will hear. I am choosing to keep this facade. You try to, too. The slashes on his chest had hardly stung, even as it cut into muscle. He was a hunter, he was use to injury, and a flurry of swipes would be hard pressed to make him cry out.

(sorry it's so short, but I can't say there was much to go to)

Lydia opened the door and within moments, the wolves began bounding in, shifting into their human forms the moment they got near Alexander. Philip was the last to enter and the only one to enter the room as human. His face was fierce, angry, a strange mix of emotion, as he eyed the vampire and then his sister. The look made her shiver almost instantly and she knew already that he suspected something, even if he wasn’t sure what that something was.

Philip had always been fairly intuitive. Something that Lydia had admired at times though there were moments it angered her beyond belief. But now? She wished his senses were dull and that he’d ignore any inkling he had over what may have transpired in the room in which they were all gathered.

Philip approached Lydia, his eyes taking in the sight of her blood-covered body. Immediately, they narrowed into slits. “What did he do to you, sister?” he inquired, voice cold and calm.

Lydia knew that Philip was probing. He could easily tell that the blood was not her own and he wanted to know what would cause her to lash out at the vampire so quickly and severely.

Trembling inside, though showing a demeanor of regality, Lydia narrowed her eyes right back at her brother. “This vampire is just as insufferable as you. Consider yourself lucky to be lycan.”

Philip nodded cautiously, his eyes darting over to the vampire and then back to his sister once more. “I see,” he smiled, his eyes locked onto Lydia’s.

Slowly, Philip walked toward Alexander, his eyes, unblinking, still holding Lydia’s gaze. He then turned to look down at the creature bleeding at his feet and sneered. His face twisting, his nose crinkling, he hefted his leg and kicked him directly in the ribs. Almost instantly, more blood began to ooze from his wounds.

Lydia had all she could do to control herself. Everything inside her body, even her mind now, screamed out. But she couldn’t look away. To do so would mean loss of power. Loss of power would mean Alexander’s death. Something she couldn’t have. Trying her best not to flinch, she reached out to her mate through the connection he quickly told her they shared.

“Alexander!” Lydia screamed through the connection, hoping that he did indeed hear her.

Trying to breathe, Lydia noticed the other lycans smiling broadly at the display Philip was making of Alexander. She wanted to lash out at them. To hurt them.

“You will cooperate you vile beast!” Philip shouted as he continued to kick, the other lycans cheering now, desperate to be turned loose so that they too could have their turn going at him. “You dare defy my sister!”

Swallowing, trembling, Lydia reached out again. “Alexander! I’m so sorry!”

The wolves bounded in like beasts to a feast, and he growled at them as they came bounding towards him. They were disgusting creatures that seemed to want only bloodshed and death. Only Lydia had redeemed herself in his eyes. But those were much more personal reasons. He made sure to avert his eyes from her, though, knowing that showing any signs were dangerous.

There was a small exchange between the two, the brother and sister, and he knew that he was going to probe her mind. Instinctively, his mind touched hers, though not in a way that he could trace it or notice something was wrong. But it was a warming presence for her to hold onto.

The male came over to him, and Alex saw the sneer of disgust on his face, but Alexander simply smiled, a calm look that he knew would infuriate the lycan. He felt the kick to the chest, felt a little extra blood come out, but Alexander didn't even flinch, his face holding that smile.

I am alright. He is weak compared to some I have fought. His mind reached out as he heard her cry out. He knew this extra torture would go on for a while, knew that he may have a broken rib or two, that he would have to feed not long after now.

Her brother kept kicking, and he did feel a rib crack, over the sound of Lydia in his mind. But he couldn't risk giving her a look to help steady her. This would be a while, but he could hold her soon.
