He could smell her scent of roses, and honeycombs. Blood, and ashes.
His throat clenched at the amount of that blood he would have to drink to sate himself.

Silus toed the edge of the granite balcony, tossing the remainder of his wine over the edge. He watched the shapeless mass slip through the air, splashing almost silently on the plants below.

So she was fresh picking. He didn't doubt the oldest demon had crawled out of his cave, sniffing the pungent odor of purest blood. So he had to find her first, no question about that. Fortunately, being a Lordling on Earth granted him more passage than other vampire wandering about.

The wind sifted through his obsidian black hair, strokes of white flashing here and there. The moon complimented his golden eyes perfectly, giving it a carnal edge that would freeze a lion on the spot.

This night would be an interesting hunt.

It'd only been hours, hours since Seraphine had fallen from the skies, her wings harmed enough that she couldn't fly home again, not until she did her holy deeds for the humans. Seraphine spat angrily, her always beautiful face contorted into pure disgust. "Humans...Why do they deserve our love? Our generosity!" she growled. She'd not yet come in contact with the resident Angel in the city, and she knew she'd need to soon, for she was still in her heavenly garb and her feet were covered with dirt. A sigh escaped her pink plush lips, and she looked to the skies as if begging for release. Earth was horrible, it stank, it was dirty, and it was dark. A tingle shot from her lower stomach and she frowned. She'd always had an interest in the darkness around her, and now on Earth that interest was increasing. Shaking her head she looked down at herself.

She wore a strapless, white dress, it was made of the finest of silks and cascaded down her body and to her toes. It was as revealing as it was innocent, there were two slits up the side of the dress, revealing her legs up to her thigh. Her feet were bare, for she didn't know much of shoes, she'd never needed them. Her brown hair blew in the breeze, sending her scent around the city. "I'm a tad bit hungry..." she noted with a soft voice. Seraphine had been sitting within an alley, but with a graceful and proud stride she walked out and onto the sidewalks of the city. It was about time she introduced herself to the place called Earth.

Seraphine walked steadily down the street, her eyes wary as she made each deliberate step. She felt a shiver rush down her spine as she passed an alleyway. Turning to look into its depths she frowned. Was she being followed? She growled quietly to herself and stepped forward into the alley, waiting to confront whatever lay within it. As she suspected, there was a creature waiting within, its eyes locked on her presence. "Ahh..So the demonic scum of the Earth has decided to make me their target? I assume you aren't the only one?" she asked cooly, her eyes narrowed.

An arm shot out at her and she stepped back, her body had risen to poise itself upon her toes. And so the graceful dance of dodging had begun. This particular demon was obviously of no rank for he was very weak. It wasn't difficult to avoid his attacks, and Seraphine actually found herself laughing as she twisted and ducked out of his grasp. "You're rather amusing little darkling!" she smiled and then finally she turned away from the demon and began to exit the alley. Even the weakest of demons wasn't stupid enough to attack her on the open street in front of humans. So, feeling him as no threat she continued on her way down the road. She didn't care what followed her, only the weak stalked, the strong confronted.
