synonyms of lesbian.

all of us have words that we don't like, or that kill the mood. some would rather say make love, while others would rather say fuck. xD

i'm wondering, how many other ways can you describe lesbians? i hate the word, i really do hate it. i like girl on girl action, but i would die before dubbing it lesbianism and i'm looking for alternatives!
