The two women clutched their hands over their heads as they lay on the floor, hoping it would all be over soon. Glass rained down near them as one of the robbers smashed the top of the jewelry case just a few feet away.

There were six of them, all dressed for success - leather coats and ski masks were the order of the day. One guarded the door while the other waved a shotgun over the two terrified women. Their two companions raided the cases and the register, creating a disorganized mess anywhere their hands fell.

Elsewhere, the dispatcher's voice blared over the radio, "...silent alarm has been triggered, possible robbery at Henler Jewelry on 13th and Trayman."

Sitting in her police cruiser, Officer Victoria Chen knew that she was only two blocks away from the possible crime scene...

Victoria was doing what she normally did around this time, sitting on the side of a busy road, watching for speeders. It was boring, but it was what she had to do. When the radio crackled, she listened closely, a wicked smile coming over her lips hearing the location. "Unit 1176 responding to the report of a possible robbery." She said into the radio, her finger moving to flick on the lights and sirens. Seeing the cars pull aside, the officer slammed down on the gas petal, pulling the Dodge Charger Police Package into the traffic.

It was of course a short drive to the location, and when she arrived at the location, she pulled to a stop so that the car separated where she would be standing after exiting from the jewelry store. "Report confirmed, we have multiple armed suspects within the building." She said as she got out of the car, pulling her Smith & Wesson 4566 from the holster and aiming it at the entrance. The radio informed her to wait for backup, but that wasn't Victoria's style.

She clicked the safety off and aimed it at the entrance, counting the people inside. "This is the LAPD. Drop your weapons and come out with your hands up." Victoria called loudly, her finger inching into the trigger guard.

-Shit!! Fuck!! –exclaimed one of the robbers-. The cops are here, we’re fucked!!!

-Shut up, asshole! –silenced him the one that seemed to be the leader-. I’ll take care of this.

The robber grabbed one of the employees, a young girl, pulling her by the hair and held her in front of him with one arm around the neck, as a human shield. He approached the door and pointed his gun to Victoria.

-Put the gun down, bitch, or I’ll send this whore to hell. I swear I’ll do it.

When the criminal came out with the employee held hostage, Victoria dropped to a knee, taking cover behind the engine block of her cruiser. "Put the gun down. There's still time, don't turn this into a murder." Victoria said, her eyes locked on the robber. The sounds of sirens could be heard in the distance, signalling that more officers were coming.

"If you do not put your gun down, I will shoot you. Release the weapon before someone gets hurt." She added, her finger settling on the trigger. Her eyes focused on the sights, trying to figure out if she could shoot the robber with the victim in the way.
