All the preparations had been made. So far as he could tell, Isaac had done everything he could to make sure this night went exactly according to plan, the heavy rain outside was simply an unfortunate happenstance. Lifting a hand to his brow to sweep back his golden hair, blue eyes glinting in the night, young prince Isaac stole across the hallway, moving from door to door, silent as a mouse, and quick as quick can be, he paused only at the corners of the the dungeon's long and twisting stone corridors. Too long had the young master let himself revel in ignorance of the kingdoms proceeding, yet after a discovery such as this, how could he not act? All he knew was that his father had in the depths of this loathsome dungeon, imprisoned perhaps the last of a once great race of people. Locked away without companionship or light, it was a fate crueler then he could think his father capable of.

Finally, he found the cell, the guards on leave as was typical, for all intents, no one was supposed to know about this place, so why bother taking the guarding so seriously? Taking a moment to calm himself, he leaned in against the door, listening a moment before giving a small tap upon the metal frame. "Is anyone there?"

Shrouded in complete darkness, Eldarwen had no knowledge of just how long she'd been imprisoned. Many years before, she had witnessed the slaughter of her people just before she was captured and brought to where she currently was being held. She longed to be let free, though she knew her odds of survival outside those four walls were slim, being the last of her kind. Whoever was holding her captive though, didn't want her to die, as she was fed regularly.

Hearing someone approach the door, she thought it was someone bringing her some food. that is, until she heard a strange voice on the other side of the door. Moving closer, she tapped the inside of the door. It had been so long since she'd had someone to talk to, that she had forgotten how to speak.

For a long moment, Isaac wondered if he had taken a wrong turn, the silence in the air hanging thick like some sickly thing. Then, amidst the total void of sound, something that sounded like movement, and shortly after a tap from inside the cell. Taking in a sharp and sudden breathe, he closed his eyes and steadied himself, stopping the anxious shaking in his limbs, it wasn't quite fear, just the knowledge that what he started hear would have no way of reversing itself once it had begun.

Finally, he was ready once more, and letting his eyes open ever so slowly, the young prince crouched by the keyhole, producing a copy of the key he'd filched from his fathers chambers months before, when the idea had first occurred to him. with the soft click of tumblers falling open, the door let itself swing open just a hair, letting a long thin line of torchlight into the lightness cell.

Opening th door enough to extend his arm inside, the young master Isaac did just that reaching in, one eye visible from th widened crack. "Come. We haven't much time."

The young elf moved away from the door as it was opened, the light too bright for eyes that were used to the darkness of the cell. Once her eyes had adjusted to the sudden exposure to light, she moved closer to the door again, looking at the prince's hand. She didn't know what he wanted with her, but she slowly emerged from her prison, looking around.

Growing more paranoid by the second, fearing discovery in this most crucial hour, Isaac looked down the hall, biting his lip before turning back to th prisoner who had just emerged from the cell.

For a long moment, all he could do was stare. Even in all his preparation, all his wondering about possible variables, he had not accounted for this... It wasn't her race that perplexed him, simply the force with which her image imparted itself on his mind. Shaking his head clear of such thoughts he muttered a quite "I'm sorry, but we must hurry." before reaching to her hand, taking it in his own and beginning to lead her away, hoping her muscles had not atrophied to the point where she would not be able to walk, though he realized with a sullen sigh that it was entirely possible.

Eldarwen didn't fight him as she was lead away from her cell. She had no trouble keeping up, having spent a lot of time walking around the inside of her small cell. It was a strange feeling for her, being free, though she had no idea how long it would last.

For the time being, all he could do was try and get her back to his chambers. Once they were there, he would signal his assistant to take off in a carriage marked with the standard of the small rebellion that had been growing in the east. After that, what he did net would be based largely upon how his father chose to react. Walking at a brisker pace down the hallway once he realized she was fine walking on her own, Isaac led them on a winding path back to the stairs that would lead to his chamber in the northern tower.

Looking back to her, he bit his lip, knowing they must be silent. Motioning his head up the stairs, he paused before a window halfway up, opening it, the sound of rain filtering in through the crack. Hopefully the couch driver would be able to see through the rain and make out the subtle signal. Moving higher up, they finally reached his door, it wasn't a long climb up the stairs, but the pounding in his chest made him feel as if it were so. Once inside, he locked the door behind him, letting out a relieved sigh, wondering how long they had before the act was discovered.

Eldarwen gladly followed the prince through the castle to his chambers. When Isaac stopped at the window, she looked out, making out the carriage on the ground below them. She stood there for a moment, listening to the rain as it hit the window. When she noticed him moving further up, she hurried after him, not wanting to get caught out of her cell.

Once they were inside his chamber, she went to sit at the window, watching the rain fall. It was something she hadn't seen in a long time. She was starting to miss her old life, though she knew that she could never go back to that place. It was nothing but ruins by now, thanks to the prince's father.

After locking his door lightly behind them, the young prince took a moment to gather himself, this part of the plan being largely unscripted. Finally, he turned about, watching the rescued woman sit down upon his window ledge. Pausing in silence, he took the moment to actually study her, to have a proper look at this woman who had not likely seen the rain, or the sun for many, many years.

She was indeed irrefutably fair, even as malnourished and under clothed as she was, there was some element of her that simply fascinated him. His gaze, more accurately his stare, was interrupted by the crackle of the small fire burning merrily away in the small fireplace set in the wall opposite the door. Noting this, his gaze was drawn back to the girl sitting by the window. Smiling helplessly to himself, he moved to his bed, taking up a thick comforter set there, and pacing over the window himself, draping the blanket around her shoulders. For a moment longer he was silent, looking out the window with her.

"It's strangely beautiful isn't it?" He asked, nodding his head out to the rain, the the vast countryside spread out before them. "I'm... My name is Isaac." He added tentatively, still unsure of himself and what to do exactly.
