Taking a sip of the drink, Robert 'Sneazler' Michelson looked around in the bar from his seat. The usual stack of drivers split up into groups were there as it was a well renowned bar for underground drivers. Their cars were parked around the back to keep the cops from nicking them. And he was sure to keep his baby out of their hands.

Parked outside, the black Mistubishi Evolution was parked, it's orange rims and oranges signatures shining brightly as the vinyl on the car consisted of a dragon twirling over the roof and from one side of the car to the other, it's tail ending on the trunk. It was his baby, tuned and worked out to be as muscular himself. He stood pretty tall at 6'4 with a broad chest and shoulders, a dragon tattoo on his upper right arm, the head just visible under the white shirt.

He was quite young, only 23 years old but with an education and money that could keep him happy until his retirement at least even if he used a lot on his car and on racing, he always had the newest gear available for him. Looking around the bar again, he noticed one of the groups getting up, probably preparing to leave for some practice races in the large town.

Katie had been on a date with a guy she'd had a crush on for a few weeks. He'd tried hitting on her though, but she made him stop his car. They had been outside a bar with a bunch of cars parked in the back. Getting out, she slammed the car door shut, watching as he took off, leaving her stranded in a part of town she'd never been in. Glancing around, she didn't see any other cars on the streets. Sighing, she headed inside the building to ask for directions back to her neighborhood.

Looking around the inside, she didn't like the look of some of the men that were inside the bar. Heading over to the counter, she tried getting the attention of the bartender, but got the impression that he was ignoring her on purpose. Sighing, she leaned against the bar, wondering if she would ever find her way back to her apartment. She probably attracted a lot of attention, being the only girl in the bar, but she didn't think she'd be there long, if she could just get the bartender's attention.

She had just moved to the town a few months ago, to attend college there. The dorms had all been full, so she'd been allowed to get an apartment off campus, even though she was just a freshman. She liked having her own place, since she wouldn't have to deal with the noise of countless college kids all over the place.

Robert watched the girl enter, just sipping further on his drink as one of the groups went up to her. "Hey hottie, wanna go for a spin?" One of them asked, the leader apparently before the other group suddenly stood behind them. "Oy! We saw the lass first!" The bartender already knew what was happening as he cleared off the counter, letting Robert finish his drink quickly as he then picked up the walkie-talkie can shouted for the bouncers. The brawl didn't begin though.

Just as the first punch was thrown, Robert slipped off the chair, his hand rising and blocking the blow before he went in between the guys, his arm moving around her waist as he put his head on her shoulder, taking in her scent before he kissed her cheek. "Say we get outta here? This ain't a place for a pretty girl like you." He told her, his tone deep though gentle and caring as the others backed off.

Doing his work properly, he nodded to the bartender who called the bouncers off before he stepped back, creating space. "This, you reckless lads, is how to treat a woman properly!" He snarled at them, letting her take her time to get out of the chair so he could escort her outside and help her.

Katie ignored the one who first addressed her, not liking the way he looked. Soon, there was a crowd around her, and what appeared to be the start of a fight. Getting up, she started to leave, only to find herself nearly in the middle of a brawl. All she could do was back up to the bar and sit back down.

The fight didn't last long though, as another man broke up the fight. She was trying to take in what just happened when she felt an arm go around her waist. She was just about to slap the guy, but stopped when he suggested they get out of there. She could tell by the tone of his voice that he didn't plan on doing anything that would hurt her. Getting up, she put her arm around his waist, following him out of the bar.

Once outside, she turned to face him, explaining how she'd ended up in this part of town. "I was hoping to get directions back to my apartment building, but that didn't go to well, as you noticed."

Following her outside, Robert had felt her hand around his waist as he didn't seem to mind the jealous looks from the other guys. Standing outside, he let go of her as she turned. "I can't help you with directions, but I'll give you a ride if you tell me where." He told her, his tone remaining gentle as his eyes showed he was probably too lazy to give a damn what happened and he certainly wasn't interested in forcing his way.

Gesturing for her to follow him, he went around to the back, pulling car keys out of his pocket before clicking the lock switch, the yellow lights blinking once as he went to the black and orange car, getting into the driver's seat. Once inside she would notice everything was customized, nothing original and her seat was even a racing seat. "Welcome to my car." He told her, turning the keys in the ignition before hearing the beast roar to life.

He backed out of the spot, turning and heading onto the road. "Where do you live?" He asked her, being ready for anything if they had to turn around or outrun the police. They were after all still searching for all the illegal cars in the town and especially this part of town.

She followed him around back, looking at all the customized cars. Glancing at him, she became even more wary of him, but she had no other way of getting back to her apartment. Getting into the car, she looked over at him, buckling up. As they pulled out onto the street, she gave him the the address of her apartment building. She knew nothing about the illegal activity that went on around here, but she was going to find out really soon.

They hadn't even gone two blocks when she noticed flashing lights behind them. Glancing over at him, she pointed behind them. "We have company.. Aren't you going to pull over??" She'd been taught to obey the laws, and yet here she was, in the car with a criminal.

Robert smirked, hearing her comment on the fact that the police were behind him with the lights flashing. He flipped a button and the license plates changed, Sneazler suddenly being written as he shifted up in gear, his right foot going down. "If you knew what happened to me if they stopped me, you'd understand this." He told her, the speed increasing on both cars, though his going much faster already as he worked the gear, not breaking a sweat as he drifted around a large corner, wanting to lose them quickly.

He noticed that these officers were different, they knew more about driving than the previous as he only grinned. "I'm sorry you have to see this." He told her as he did a few quick turns, his pose remaining calm and focused as he worked the gears and pedals like a maniac, though extremely precise all the time as he pulled away from them, soon watching them give up as he slowed down to the cruise speed.

"I'm sorry you had to see it, really." He wanted to persuade her as he noticed he was closer to where her apartment was than he had first anticipated, knowing she would be gone from his life soon.

Katie was gripping the sides of her seat when he suddenly sped out. She couldn't believe he was trying to outrun the cops, wondering what he'd done that they would be after him, all kinds of scenarios going through her mind as they raced through the streets.

When she noticed that the lights eventually faded into the distance, she noticed that he'd slowed down, just a couple blocks from where she lived. She looked over at him, already unbuckling her seat belt. "You can just let me out here. I can walk the rest of the way to my apartment." The further away from him she was, the better off she would be. At least that's what she thought now.

"No, bad idea. I'll take you to the front door like I promised." He told her, locking the door as he kept a view on the mirrors, he wasn't going to let her walk out just yet because it was too risky here when he couldn't speed up properly. He kept going, his pace slightly above the speed limit as he knew they were there soon.

Within a few moments, he was parked neatly by the front door of her apartment building as he unlocked the door to let her out. "Look, I'm sorry I had to do that, I never try to scare the girls away, I just can't lose my car." He explained to her, a sorry look in his eyes as he would watch her get out, hoping she wouldn't condemn him to be a criminal villain forever but give him a chance.

She blinked when she hear the lock click on her door, and turned to look at him. "I said to let me out!" Just as she got the words out, she felt the car come to a stop, and she looked out her window, noticing they were right in front of her building. Hearing the door unlock, she couldn't get out of the car fast enough. She didn't know it yet, but the damage had already been done.

Giving him the finger, she shut the car door and headed inside her building and up to her apartment. She took her keys out and went inside, locking the door behind her before going to the window to make sure he was gone, knowing that she was unlikely to ever see him again.

Staying there for a few moments, he regretted having to outrun the cops before he looked up at her window, driving off at the same time. He wanted to head home, forget about the evening and get wasted. He had no races until the weekend anyhow as he got there quickly.

Once there, he went in, locking the door after putting the carpet over the car, heading to his fridge and pulling out a bottle of wine. He wanted to drown the night in it as he opened it, taking in it's scent quickly before taking a sip directly from the bottle, loving the alcohol running down his throat as he slumped to the couch, turning the television on.

A few days later, Katie had gone back to the bar where she had met Robert, though she wasn't exactly the same person he had given a ride earlier in the week. This time, she was clad in more provocative clothing, sitting at the bar flirting with some of the bar's patrons, while glancing around the room looking for him. The car ride home that he'd given her had changed something in her, though she wasn't really aware of it.

Robert wasn't in that night, not right there at least. He was heading from his private garage as he went to take a spin, meeting up with some of his connections to pick up some new equipment as he then headed for the bar, speeding through the town to get there quickly. He had no idea what would be waiting for him once inside but he knew that he would be getting his usual amounts of drinks.

Heading inside once he had parked, he noticed the girl from before, just looking at her ni the completely different outfit as he went up to the bar where she was, taking his seat next to her before he ordered two drinks, passing one to her as an offer of wanting to talk with her over a quiet drink before he took a sip of his own, turning towards her and seeing the other guys move a bit away from her. He was known to be a ruthless driver at times, pushing his opponents off the road even.

Katie had her back to the door, so didn't notice when Robert came in. She did notice, however, when the guys she'd been talking with suddenly backed off. Turning around to see why they'd moved, she noticed him finally, accepting the drink he offered her. "I was wondering when you'd be coming in here. I've been here for an hour already, waiting for you." She took a sip of her drink, reaching out to touch his arm, not seeming at all like the girl he'd met the other day.

Robert watched her, noticing the change clearly as he smirked at her. "I can't be here all the time, I need to keep my ride fixed." He told her, not noticing the change in her yet as he felt her hand touching his arm. He had no clue what had changed as he took a sip of his own drink, looking away from her for a moment. "So what brought you back here?" He asked her, wanting to know what could've tricked her to come back to the bar even if he had scared her off a few nights before.

Running her fingers up the length of his arm, she leaned in to whisper in his ear. "Well, maybe you could give me your address, so I won't have to keep coming here to look for you." Pulling back, she picked up her drink to take a sip, watching his reaction. The car ride home had awoken something in her, though the good part of her was still there as well.

Robert felt her fingers up his arm as he felt a shiver too. She seemed to have changed, unless she was being extremely persuasive in wanting to get into his pants. He had heard her whisper, smirking in response as he turned his head towards her. "How about I show you the way to my place? Giving out an address is to risky." He told her, keeping his voice down as he finished his glass, putting it down and watching the bartender refill it, he would need something strong if she did end up wanting to sleep with him as she'd seemed to innocent when he had taken her home.

Downing the last of her drink, Katie asked for a refill from the bartender, then looked back at Robert. "That would work too." She would just get his address when they got to his house. Quickly downing her refill, she got to her feet, smiling at him. "Well shall we go then?"

Robert watched her down the refill as he then shock his head lightly. "You shouldn't drink so heavily this early." He told her, taking his time with his own drink before standing up, gesturing for her to follow him. He knew what might happen once they got alone as she didn't seem quite normal to him now, she was even drinking as hard as he could when he got started. Leaving the bar, he knew that she would follow him around to his car as he managed to keep the trunk closed where his spare parts were as he quickly was out on the road with her next to him in the car.

Katie just looked at him, blinking when told she shouldn't drink heavily. "What are you, my mother?" She followed him out, regardless, and got in his car once he unlocked the doors. Looking at the car's dashboard, she started playing with some of the knobs, curious about what they did. She was definitely not the same person she'd been the first time she had ridden in this car. "So how far is it to your place?"

Robert got into the car with her, watching her beginning to fiddle with everything, it upset him that she seemed so curious suddenly as he gave her a quick tap over her fingers. "Don't touch, I don't want to risk the engine stalling during a race or a chase." He told her, his tone serious as his car was his baby, he would almost sleep in it if he got the chance as they were off, heading towards his apartment. He couldn't believe that he was actually bringing a girl there, he hadn't been with a girl for a few years now because his life as an underground racer had prohibited him from doing so.

Rolling her eyes, she moved her hands to rest in her lap. "Excuse me for trying to find the radio. I just wanted to listen to some music. I'll try to be a good girl." She looked out the window, kinda bored that nothing exciting was happening.

Robert looked at her for a moment. "Why didn't you ask for it then?" He asked her, his hand moving to a single button that turned the stereo in the car on, the loud music suddenly blasting out of the speakers, almost drowning every other sound in the car with noise. It was what he listened to when he drove his races but if she wanted to listen to music, he'd turn it on for her as he didn't really mind.

Katie hadn't asked, as she hadn't really been looking for the radio. It had just been an excuse for messing with the buttons. Glancing out the window, she wondered when they would be getting to his place.

Robert looked at Katie as he turned down the road taking them into a very emptive storage area, he had kept it secret where he lived for so long but he felt that with this girl he could do a difference. Pulling up at an old warehouse, pushed a button in the car key's, the automated carport opening before he drove into it, hearing it close and lock behing him. The middle of the room was reserved for his car, around it the kitchen, door to the bathroom, stairs to his bedroom, even a small tv room with a laptop there too. He didn't have to worry about power as he had found some old generators that could keep the place up on electricity and heated. He stood out of the car, waiting for her to get out before he locked it. "Well, here we are." He told her, acting like it was nothing.
