The elf maneuvered her way towards the cliff's edge generating what appeared to be a fireball and hurling it at Seth. Soren rushed in, holding his sword like a baseball bat and screamed. "Aaarrrggghhh!" With all his power, the merc swung, connecting directly and sending the fireball into trees to the left, starting a fire immediately. The stage was quickly becoming a dramatic one as he started to charge at the girl. "I don't want to kill you! But I'll bury you if I have to!" He was angry. Beat him all you want. Deep inside his heart he had a thing for Seth. A big thing. The brotherly love they had for each other was not the way Soren saw things. He was waiting for the right time to let Seth know his feelings... but money, pussy, or blood usually got in his way. The elf smirked, speaking as he charged her. "Man-lover..." Soren's eye twitched as he attempted to cut through her, just to be dodged and cut very badly around the stomach. Soren fell to the ground bleeding profusely. The elf darted her staff into the ground as the cliff's edge began to break off, with her and Soren on the platform. To prevent Seth from following, she cut trees with her wind, the flaming wood falling before Seth to rout him.

Seth had been too busy to hear the elf speaking to Soren as they fought. As the fires bellowed Seth had been momentarily distracted as he felt the air turn hot from the burning trees. Seth tried to help his friend as best he could, hewould slice at the elf every now and then. "Keep the pressure...up..." he huffed as he felt himself begin to sweat. Suddenly Soren had rushed forward only to suddenly stop for some reason and receive a dangerous wound along his middle. "Soren hold on!" he said not wanting to watch his partner die like the previous bounty hunter. Soren was indeed like a brother to him, embaressment and all. As the cliff began to break Seth tried to rush forward only to be blocked by a fallen tree as the elf caused it's fall. "Fuck!" he yelled as he quickly tried to get over the obsticle despite the risks.

It took nearly an hour, and the fire had just spread more. There was no way he could jump over it, there was no getting around it. He heard the portion of the cliff crash soon after it fell. The elf might be dead, but so might Soren. Soon three more bounty hunters arrived. Two women and a very tall man, each dressed the part. "Where's Natali?" They scrambled until one found their fallen friend. The girls gathered together and grieved the female who had been brutally killed by the elf. The man walked beside Seth. "What are you doing here. Did you see who killed my partner?"

"Here for a bounty," he said very solemly. After he heard the cliff give way he imagined that Soren and the elf where dead now. "That sorceress killed her and my partner," he told the man. The fires had begun to die from the fallen tree, but he knew it was already to late.

"I'm sorry to hear that. Her body is up for collection. I will clear these trees for you... I suggest you find Malika's body and staff. They are worth it. Your partner, like mine, should have known better than to fight something they had no idea of." With that he grabbed his huge hammer and swatted away chunks of burnt up tree. His power was immense. He wasn't kind, but far from mean... just very professional. "If you don't find your partner... I am now a loner. I will be in the village's inn. We can partner up. I have enough jobs to a keep a group busy for nearly two months. I will tell my girls not to cut you off as you retreat with Malika's body. But other hunters are not so respectful."



At the rock bottom;

Soren, dug up by rubble, slowly crawled over to Malika's body.

"Alright. But what is this curse...?"

Malika reached lifted her head and kissed Soren's lips.

Seth nodded "Thank you...I might just take you up on the offer," he said before he traveled through the now broken down tree. He saw the cliff face. He had half hoped to see Soren there, hanging on for dearlife, or just smiling with the body of the elf at his feet. But no nothing was there, the cliff had completely fallen. He looked over the edge, it was to far down for his eyes to see, and it was dark, even though it was still midday. "Soren!" he called, though after several minutes of not getting an answer, only the echoe of his own voice, he decided that the worst had happened. He looked for a way down, he had no intention of leaving his partners body down in a a valley to rott. He noticed a small little trail, it looked like a worn down suppy rout, it was dangerous, but much less dangerous then trying to scale down the cliff side. He had to strife his way down, his back to the cliff as he moved slowly down. It took him several hours until finally he was in the cmall valley, though he was a distance away from where Soren must have fallen.

There was a ton of rubble, dust had settled, but with every step he took, a new cloud kicked up. Finally, Seth heard a slight rustle. Someone was on the floor, standing up. Someone down there was alive. Perhaps Soren, the elf, both?

The rustle became violent as something started moving in Seth's direction.

"You're not taking her body as long as I'm alive!" Screamed a voice he'd never heard. The person sprung up with her blade held high above her head. She swung down quickly and with a lot of power.

Seth had not expected to have anything lung at him. His spear was not even ready so all he could do was leap back away from the blade. "I'm not hear to fight...I'm looking for my partner you crazy bitch!" he yelled. He wasn't in the mood to pick a fight now, he was greiving over the lose of a good partner. He withdrew a small blade from his boot and held it defensivly, in case she tried to cut him again. "Why are you down here anyways?" he asked.

The sunlight had started to peek in just a bit. Seth could see the person. She was dressed just like Soren. She looked like Soren. She had Soren's weapon even. She too, got her first glance at his face thanks to the light. And paused.

Seth was once again taken by surprise. He looked at this girl, she lookedlike, well the female equivilant of Soren. But it couldn't be him."How do you know my name?" he asked her. He pointed the blade at her. "Who are you...why are you here? Are you looking for the bounty as well....if so then take it...all I want is to find my partner and take his body back for a good burial," he said. He may not have had the same feelings as Soren had towards him, but he thought of Soren as the brother he never had.

It seemed today was just a very strange day forhim. First his partner is dead. Then some girlshows up who apprently knows him, but he had never seen her before, now suddenly she is freaking out when she is looking at herself. "Um...I don't know what yourproblem is...I'm sure there is some spell or potion....or very strong alcohol that can help you out though...but I need to try and find Soren."

Sari reached out for his shirt, and once she got a hold of it, he felt it. 100% Soren-like strength. "Damn it! I can't even say it to you! That's my name! I wasn't apologizing to you! Dick! I am the person you've been looking for." For a second, she thought of making something up, like she's Soren's twin, but she couldn't lie to Seth. He just wasn't understanding. She headed over to some rubble and scurried around. Eventually she lifted the elf from the dust and took her staff too. "Which way did you come down? I need to go up."

Seth listened, she had indeed recounted the battle. And she was acting strange, like her bod wasn;t her body, but someones elses. Either she was telling the truth, or she was under some sort of spell, though why she wouldclaim she was Soren made no sense. She wore the same cloths, though her appearence was, well not exactly like Soren, maybe just the hair. "So...your saying that you are...Soren...but now your Sari?" he asked her. "If thats true then answer me a question,"he said. He had no intention on helping a completel stranger, though if this was Soren then, well he wondered about that. "What was the bounty we had two weeks ago?" he asked. Soren could recall everything they did, so long as there was a lot of blood and gore, or women afterwards.

Seth listened, not only did she knew the job, she didn't seem at all afraid to get into detail about other things. Her last comment suddenly made him smile though.
