Fighting on the Eastern Front ((Me and Anansi))

They soon found their weapons and she checked her rifle, making sure it was in the right condition before she looked up at the sky. It was getting dark,

He picked up a bundle not too far back and didn't bother checking them as he made his way off to the northwest. "We'll be getting closer by night to avoid detection." He said to her slowly before he smirked back at her. "Let's hurry shall we, we've got 10 miles to the cabin"

He walked for a bit but when he came to fields he quickly jogged across with an easy pace before upon coming to one he stopped suddenly and dropped to his stomach his hand gesture urging her to do the same.

Senka felt to the ground after him and moved up next to him slowly and said "What is it?" she whispered looking through her binoculars.

Pointing off in the distance he laughed softly as he whispered to her. "You see that slight orange? That's a hot cherry, someone is lighting a cigarette." He said slowly to her as he pointed off. "I don't know if its a hostile or a civilian."

Senka bit down on her lower lip and whispered " we are in a small town... there will be civilians around, the best option might be to avoid them..." she said loooking through her binoculars.

"As you wish." He said as he watched the orange glow in the distance, it moved at a set pace in a set path, obviously an enemy soldier on patrol but he didn't particularly care. Slipping off to one side he began to crawl through the field.

Senka followed his lead, keeping an eye out for trouble. Once they had made it fast the feild she felt a little more secure but continued to look around the area for enemies.

He crawled till he was a few feet into the woods. Standing he checked his compass and headed off in a direction making his way along quickly.

Senka followed his lead looking around. She bit down on her lower lip and kept an eye out as they made there way to the cabin.

He made his way along with a cool confident stride as he ran his fingers slowly through his hair and glanced about. He noted markers along the way and stared off into the distance hoping to catch sight of a fire, or even the orange glow of a cigarette but there was nothing.

Senka follwed him slowly, it seemed they were not going to run into trouble along the way to the hut, which was always a good thing.
