Case of the Innocent Murderer

Los Angeles California 1947.....home to more then 1 ½ million people....most of those people live around the city. Beverly Hills.....Van Ness.......Glendale.....and Hollywood....also known as Tinseltown. This where I live & worked......I share an office with LA's first female Attorney who also happens to be it's first female PI. The office we share is on the corner of Sunset Blvd & Vine St.....but that's not the only thing we share....we also share a secretary.

Friday night......10:45 pm.............A man working for the city gathering garbage around the Hollywood Recreation Center came acrossed a shocking sight. The bodies of three teens....two boys & one girl were laying in the bushes at the far end of the park. All three bodies were badly beaten......blood was everywhere. The man quickly called the police who rushed over then closed off the park area. They found no clues as to who would do something like this too these kids who had never caused anyone any kind of trouble. The Hollywood Police were stumped.....that is until Saturday night when a man sitting in a downtown bar openly admitted to murdering the kids. The bartender quickly called the police as the man started to leave....he didn't get far since a patrol car which had a radio in it was passing by. The man ran from the cops......but more arrived on the scene. He tried his best to get away...even stealing a police car which caused a massive chase acrossed the city until the man wrecked. He was arrested then taken down to Parker Center where the main lock up for the City of Los Angeles was.

Monday morning.......9:15 am.......June 21st. It was the first day of summer in LA and it was making an impact. The temperature was already 85 degrees on it's way to at least 95 or better. Mathew Knight was sitting at his desk trying too keep cool....but the fan he had just wasn't cutting it. Mathew or Matt as he was called by close friends was reading the story in the newspaper of the police chase that happened over the weekend. It seemed pretty cut & dry...there were witness who said that one Willy Miles confessed to the murders....he ran from the cops.....but yet Mathew felt like something was wrong. Mathew looked at the picture of the man in the paper.....in the man's eyes Mathew didn't see a murderer....but why would this man admit to the killings? Mathew wasn't sure why.....but he felt as if he needed too look into the case. Mathew stood up..he grabbed his dark gray gabardine double breasted suit coat from the coat rack then his fedora hat placing into his head. He was a handsome man....standing 6 feet 3 inches tall.....weighting 220lbs. His short dark hair was now hidden under his hat....then Mathew pulled his colt 45 automatic from his desk drawer then slipped it into the shoulder holster he always wore under his left arm.

On his way out Mathew told Nina Chambers who worked as the secretary for both he & his partner that he was going down to the police station....but what Mathew didn't know was that at the same time the mother of Willy Miles who was being held for murdering the three kids was in the other office pleading with his partner too help her son. Mathew left the office build jumped into his dark blue 1939 ford coupe then drove off. It was long before he pulled up in front of the LAPD Division Station in Hollywood. Mathew was well liked by the police at the Hollywood Station....he had been very helpful on a kidnapping case a few years ago saving a young girls life while helping the police put a sick man behind bars. Mathew said hello and was greeted by many of the officer with handshakes while he made his way towards Lt. Mike Grant's office. Grant was Mathew's closet friend on the force....the other man who was sitting in the office was Sgt. Ben Warren. Both men were good cops and Mathew thought of each one as a friend. Mathew knocked on the door then opened it saying hello as he stepped inside. " Well if it isn't LA's best gumshoe....what's up Matt? " Mike said as Ben who was dunking a donut into a cup of coffee. " Oh not much.....just thought I hang around and see what information about Willy Miles I could dig up. " Mathew said as he took off his hat then sat down in a chair.

“Mrs Miles. I’m not entirely sure what you would like me to do.” Samantha sat on one side of a large dark oak desk with Mrs Miles sitting opposite. On the desk was a large rectangular blotting pad laid immediately in front of Samantha; there was a desk lamp – gold base and stem and a dark green glass shade. There was a small pile of files, neatly stacked just to the left of the blotting pad and open in front of Samantha was a copy of that morning’s newspaper. On the front was a picture of Willy being escorted into the Divisional Stationhouse in Hollywood. The story itself provided the somewhat gory details as to how the victims were found, of the subsequent police chase and arrest and finally of the admission. She felt incredibly sorry for the woman in front of her, but what was there to investigate and what did she expect her to achieve in the courthouse. And if she was honest, on the basis of the information in front of her, she didn’t really have much of a personal inclination to do anything.

“Your son has admitted that he did this. I can try and help him out with sentencing... you do realize don’t you that the DA is probably going to ask for the death penalty? I can try and make an argument that he should serve a life sentence instead, but as long as he continues to profess that he did...”

“But he didn’t do it. I know my son and he’s simply not capable of doing this.” She was a middle aged, rather plump woman. Clearly not a woman of means but someone who was very proud and who took care to present herself as well as she possibly could.

“Mrs. Miles. If that is the case, why do you think he has confessed to such a heinous crime? He must appreciate the consequences?” Samantha had of course heard of people who for various reasons admitted to crimes that they did not commit. Usually it was because they were being threatened or blackmailed or it was some form of cry for help. A need to be inside an institutionalized environment simply because they could not cope in the outside world.

“I don’t know. I don’t know.” Mrs Miles sniffed and little and dabbed a small white handkerchief with a grey-gloved hand in the corner of her eyes. “Please Ms. Please just go and talk to him. If you talk to him Im sure you will realize that he couldn’t possibly...” She opened her purse and took out a small wallet. “I don’t have a lot of money, but I can pay...”

“Mrs. Miles...” Samantha took a deep breath and sighed, holding up one hand. “I’ll tell you what... I’ll go and see if I can speak to him. But if he doesn’t want to see me, the police don’t have to let me in. I might be able to persuade them but I can’t guarantee it. And we will see where we are then. How does that sound?” Samantha stood up and as Mrs Miles followed suit, she started to usher her to the door.

“Thank you Miss. If you could I’m sure you would see that he just couldn’t...”

“Alright... well you just go home and I will come and see you when I know a little more. But Mrs. Miles... please remember, if Willy insist he did it....”

Twenty minutes later, Samantha left the office telling Nina that she was going to see whether she could get in to have a conversation with Willy Miles.

“No problem. Say hi to Matt when you get there.” She stared at Samantha smirking a little.

“What?” Samantha stopped almost mid-stride.

“I said, say hi to...”

“I heard that. What the hell is Matt doing...”

Nina shrugged. “I don’t know. He just said he was going to the Hollywood Stationhouse. Can it be that it doesn’t have anything to do with this.” She retrieved a copy of the morning paper from under her drawer and dropped in on the table. Samantha looked at her, sighed and left the office.

Samantha was never entirely comfortable with walking into any of the police stations. Not only could the LAPD apparently not come to terms with the fact that she was at least a half-decent PI – maybe not quite in Matt’s class – but she was certainly more than competent, they couldn’t deal with the fact that she was an Attorney. The relationship was never going to be a good one though as she had spent her entire legal career defending the very same people that the police were arresting and trying to lock up. They were rarely on the same side. And if they weren't criticizing or patronizing her, then they were asking her out on a date and when she refused, they went back to the criticism. She climbed out of the 1938 Buick and headed in to the station, her 3inch black heels clicking on the marble floor. She wore a mid calf length dark blue skirt which followed her curves closely from the waist down, skin tone nylon stockings and a crisp white blouse equally well fitted to her curves. It was far too warm for a jacket or a hat. As she walked in, two of the detectives she passed stopped and she felt them watching her as she walked up to the front desk.

“Good morning Sergeant. I’d like to see Mr. Willy Miles please. I’ve been engaged by his mother to represent him.”

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Grant & Warren looked at Mathew in shock over what he had just said....then they looked at each other laughing. " Maybe the heats getting too you Matt.....the man confused to killing those kids.....it's an open & shut case. " Ben said as he sat there shaking his head......Mike too was lost in understanding why Matt thought that there was more to this case." Humor me......let me see Willy's file. " Mathew said as he leaned forward in the chair looking at Mike sitting behind his desk. Mike shook hie head then opened a drawer of his desk pulling out a file.....he gave the file too Mathew.

Mathew looked at the file closely.....he couldn't believe what he was seeing...nothing here showed that Willy Miles was violent in anyway. " Boys....this man is no murderer.......all he's ever done is petty crimes.....pick pocking purse snatching.....nothing here show's any kind of violent crimes at all. " Mathew said then Mike told him that Willy had spent time in the army during world war II.....he suffered from battle fatigue. He had been under a doctor's care since he came home.....he couldn't deal with all the death on the battlefield. Mathew pulled his notebook from his coat along with a pen....he wrote down the doctor's name and the doctor name's who took care of Willy in prison.

Meanwhile out front.....the desk Sergeant looked up from his newspaper when Samantha came up and told him that she wanted too see Willy Miles. " Ahhhhh.........yes Ma'am. " The Sergeant said as he picked up the phone....he called Lt. Grant in his office and asked if it was okay....to which Lt. Grant said yes. He then yelled for an officer to come over to the desk...he told that officer to escort Samantha to an interview room where she could meet with Willy. " If you'll go with this officer he'll take you too the interview room then he'll bring Willy Miles in. " The Sergeant said as the officer held out his arm to let Samantha go first.

Mike hung up the phone....he chuckled a little. " That was the desk Sergeant.....it seems your partner has been hired too defend Willy Miles. " Mike said as he looked at Mathew.....then Mathew rose up from his chair walked towards the door stopping for a moment. " Mike I've seen a lot of killers in my day......when I looked into Willy's eyes from that picture in the paper......I didn't see a killer.......but I'll find the killer. " Mathew added as he slipped his hat onto his head then opened the door stepping out...he walked towards where he knew Samantha would be heading too.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

The room was 12ft square. There were no windows; no natural light. It was painted in battleship grey. The linoleum floor was dark green. There were two overhead lights and the only furniture was a wooden table in the centre, a wooden chair on each side of it and a third chair tucked away in the corner. Samantha sat at the table and watched as the door closed behind the police officer who escorted Willy Miles back to his cell. She looked down at the scribbled notes in front of her. She had spent 30 minutes talking with Willy. That was all that it took; 30 minutes to realize that Willy hadn’t killed anyone. He had been somewhat reticent initially; willing only to say that he had done it. The fact that he was saying very little meant that it was difficult to find any glaring inconsistencies between the circumstances known by the police at that time and his own story.

There had been nothing usual; absolutely no record. He enlisted on December 8th 1941. A patriot. He gave no indication to suggest that his War was particularly remarkable; he had served will but had not distinguished himself in terms of the acquisition of commendations or medals. He had been at Okinawa. After that, some petty crimes whilst he was still in uniform, a couple of short-term prison sentences afterward for theft, DWI, no violence. Nothing! Samantha had scribbled a doctor’s name in the margin – Willy had been under his care since he had returned from the Pacific. Battle fatigue was an obvious possibility here, but she was no doctor. She also needed to check out that persistent cough Willy had. Was that something new? Samantha wondered whether she would be able to get hold of Willy’s military record... but then maybe she wouldn’t have to. The prosecutor was bound to do it in the hope of finding some evidence there, and if he did, she would get the same information through the disclosure requirements.

She sat back a little and took a deep breath. Right now she had to tell the investigating police officers that they key suspect had just withdrawn his confession and that they were now going to have to investigate an open and shut case. And in all probability... they were going to blame her. She pushed the chair back, the legs scraping on the floor and as she put her notes away in her brief case, the door to the interrogation room opened and Matt came in.

“I wondered when you were going to appear Matthew. Have you been having tea with your ’buddies’. And before you say anything, I’m taking the case. I don’t care what you say; you are not going to convince me out of it. Willy Miles did not murder anyone. I’m just about to go and tell Lt. Grant that his open and shut case is suddenly open once again and that Mr. Miles wishes to make a statement withdrawing his confession!” With that, she stood, staring at Matt, waiting for him to tell her a hundred reasons why she couldn't take the case.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Since the days when Mathew was a young boy he had read the detective stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. His character of Sherlock Holmes was the reason why Mathew wanted to become a detective. The early days of Mathew's detective career were slow at best. It wasn't until the war broke out when Mathew's career got a much needed boost. He wanted to enlist in the army and fight for America....but the government had other ideas. Someone in the government thought it would be a great idea to hire private detectives to help keep the nation safe from spies.....because who knew the streets better then the PI's who worked them everyday.

Early in 1945 when the war had turned against Germany....their spies in Los Angeles had been given orders to help Japan with a plan to invade America. Mathew had been on their tail for sometime......he was able to stop the Germany spies with the help of a beautiful young English woman who had just arrived in LA. She was looking to start a law firm and become a private detective herself.......her name was Samantha Bishop. Both Mathew & Samantha got a big boost from the breaking of this spy ring and as it turned out they became partners.

Mathew waited outside the interview room while Samantha was speaking with Willy Miles. He wasn't sure how Samantha ended up in this case....but since she he knew now that Willy had to be innocent. Mathew entered the room seeing Samantha still sitting at the table and as usual she started speaking telling him what was going on before he had a chance to say why he was even here. Samantha spoke in the proper Queen's English....she could be a fiery one when Samantha got upset....but enjoyed the way she spoke his name.....her accent was hot. " Well good morning to you too. " Mathew said with his usual charming smile. " I don't why how you got into this case......but I'm glad that did Sam. " Mathew said as he moved over towards the table sitting down on the edge. He enjoyed teasing Samantha by calling her Sam.....her nose would wrinkle with disapprovement when he called her that. It also bothered her when Mike Grant would call her Sammy...which she hated even more. " I believe Willy is innocent....I've seen his files......and the arrest report....I believe the real killer is still out there. " Mathew said as he crossed his arms over his chest. He then told Samantha about the Psychiatrist that Willy was seeing for his battle fatigue. Mathew handed her a piece of paper with the his name on it....Doctor Leo Collins. Mathew asked if Samantha would go see him while he went to the state prison to see the doctor who took care of Willy there.

While speaking with Samantha.....Mathew's eyes were busy undressing his partner and sometimes boss. Although Mathew & Nina had been having sex for sometime Samantha always turned down his offer to have dinner or go dancing. Samantha was a very beautiful woman and even Nina was turned on by how great looking her body was in those tight skirts.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Samantha opened her mouth to say something, then changed her mind, closed it and smiled. She looked at him sat on the edge of the able, legs stretched out in front of him, arms folded across his chest. God he looked good. She had frequently wondered what it would be like with Matt, but she was scared that if things went wrong, she would lose a business partner and a friend. So she would keep the things she knew and valued and would continue to wonder about the rest. and besides, she was sure he was sleeping with Nina - and Nina was a great girl and very pretty.

"My apologies. Good morning Mathew. Mrs Miles - Willy's mother - was outside the office when I arrived this morning. Let us say she was persuasive enough to get me down here."

She listened to what Matt had to say and took the piece of paper off him.

"I an do this. I have to speak to your friends upstairs first though. I also need to let Mrs Miles know what's happening. Do you want to meet up back at the office later... see where we are."

Samantha walked to the door. "Erm...Matt..." she watched him cringe a little. Her calling him Matt always preceded something bad. "I've told Mrs Miles that this would be pro Bono... Don't shout at me... If we do this right, we will have more business than we can handle in a life time."

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Mathew agreed to met with Samantha later at the office....but when he heard her say Matt....he knew that something was going to be said that he wouldn't like. But when he heard Samantha say the words " Pro Bono " he couldn't yell at her since he wasn't working for anyone on this case. No one hired him to look into it.....and Samantha didn't ask him since he was already nosing around. " Okay Sam.......I'll see you later. " Mathew said as he rose up from being seated on the table. He followed Samantha out the door then he turned left heading for the front doors while she headed for Mike's office.

Mathew jumped into his car then pulled out....it would take some time to reach the prison....but the drive was easy and pleasant. An hour had passed when Mathew pulled into the parking lot of the state prison....he got out of his car then walked inside. Doctor Robert Young agreed to meet with Mathew in his office once there he & Mathew sat down for a chat. Dr. Young remember Willy since he had battle fatigue and any kind of violence seemed to upset him. He would also have terrible nightmares which Dr. Young spoke with Dr. Collins about. Willy would always talk about hating that he was so poor....he had said many time that if he could only become famous for something he would have enough money to help his mother.

Mathew thanked the Dr. Young for the information about Willy....but before he could leave Young shared something else that would prove Willy couldn't have killed three teenage kids......Willy suffered from Asthma.

Willy had asthma when he was a young child....it seemed to go away as he grew older....but after joining the army and going off to war the asthma came back. Because of the smoke.....dirt.....and heat that Willy had to deal with his lungs grew weaker then his asthma returned...but he hide for awhile then after breaking down on the battlefield the army found out that Willy had asthma. Willy was discharged from the army a few weeks after he broke down during battle....he never seemed quite right after that. Living around so many rich people and being so poor....he dreamed of better things....of a better life for his mother....but Willy felt like a failure.

Mathew left the prison heading back to LA.....he had some info for Samantha that would blow this case out of the water....but still the real killer was walking around and Mathew would have to find him somehow.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Samantha paused for a moment and watched Matt walk away. She smiled a little. She really couldn’t have found a better partner. Sure they had their fights... big ones... but eventually one of the them recognized they were being an ass and apologies. He would bring her chocolates or flowers, both if he had been particularly vehement in his arguments, and she would bring him scotch; the more wrong she had been, the more expensive the scotch. She bought more scotch that he bought flowers but in all the cases they had done, she couldn’t remember him once saying ‘I told you so.’ He would accept the scotch, smile and then pour them both a shot. She could only hope she came across as gracious in victory. He had taught her a lot about investigation and he always had her back whether she wanted it or not sometimes. She shook her head, brought herself back to the moment, and then turned right heading for the stairs to take her up to Detective Mike Grant.

Twenty minutes later she was on her way out. She liked Mike – but would never admit that to him. He was patronizing and condescending sometimes and she was pretty certain he didn’t rate her as an investigator – but then why would he? She also wasn’t too sure that he rated her as an attorney, but they were always on opposite sides so again that was hardly surprising. And sometimes the arguments with him were a thousand times worse that those with Matt. But damn it he looked almost as good as Matt did. When she had come to tell him that Willy didn’t commit the crime, he didn’t seem too surprised... Matt had already told him. She should have known. The withdrawal of the confession... that was a little different but it was hardly a surprise.

“You were damn quick of the mark Sammy... the ink is barely dry on the confession and you have us ripping the thing up. I hope you and Matt are right about this otherwise...”

“Detective. We’re stopping you from making the biggest mistake of your career. Now you need to hold a press conference and let the public know that actually you don’t have...!”

“Woooah there Sammy girl. We’re not going to do any such thing. I can see it now. Miles’ trial. I’m on the standing saying how we know he did it and you get to remind me under cross examination that I made a statement saying that he didn’t do it! Don’t play me for an idiot sweetheart.”
Samantha smiled, bowed her head a little and took a breath. She looked back up at him. “Hey, you cannot blame me for trying Detective... but he didn’t do it. And at the very least you need to advise the...”

“I don’t need to advise them of anything. You and Matt are the ones who think he’s innocent... and yes before you say it, we will do the full investigation in light of the withdrawal of the plea, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think he did it. So you want to make some kind of announcement, you do that Sammy, but not on the City’s dime.”

All she could do was smile at him. It was very rare that she really got anything passed Mike – he really was too good a detective.
“Ok. Well I suppose my business here is done... for the moment. You did give Matt the arrest sheet didn’t you? And his criminal record?” Mike nodded and with that she had left.

Next she had gone to Dr. Leo Collins. His office had been in an expensive building downtown. He was in his mid 50s and very distinguished looking. He had been reluctant at first to provide the information on the basis of doctor patient confidentiality, but Samantha had gone prepared. She pulled out a form signed by Willy giving his consent to the information being passed to him. As she drove back to the office in the car, the comments of the Dr ran through her mind. Battle fatigue was a military term used to categorize a range of behaviors resulting from the stress of battle which decrease the combatant's fighting efficiency. The most common symptoms are fatigue, slower reaction times, indecision, disconnection from one's surroundings, and inability to prioritize. On some instances the sufferer found it incredibly difficult to cope once they returned to the real world. Samantha wondered whether this difficulty in copying would make Willy commit three heinous murders or would it simply make him admit to committing them. The doctor had indicated that either could be a possibility but something would have to have snapped in Willy for it to be the former. Battle fatigue did not turn someone into a killer but it might have been a precursor to a complete psychological break. Samantha wasn’t entirely sure whether that helped her case or not. She pulled into the parking lot next to their office building and made her way inside. Nina was at the desk. She smiled sweetly at Samantha as she walked in and then followed her was she walked into her office.

“Is Matt back yet?”

“Not yet. He called before he left the prison though. He said to tell you he is on his way.”

Samantha nodded. “Thanks”

“Tea?”

“Hmmm.... yes please Nina. That would be great.”

“Sure.” Nina walked to the door then stopped and turned back. “You look pretty cute this morning, Sam. I’m sure Detective Grant didn’t fail to notice.”

Samantha smiled and felt her cheeks flush a little. “Nina, you wouldnt be suggesting that I dress to ...”

“Impress?” She laughed and disappeared returning a few minutes later with a cup of tea which she placed on the desk next to Samantha. As she did so she placed her hand on Samantha’s shoulder in a ‘friendly’ gesture. Then she disappeared out of the office. Samantha was reading the file which Dr. Collins had given her and simply said thanks.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Mathew was driving back from the prison running this case through his mind......piece by piece. He knew that with Willy's medical files from prison & the police crime scene report....Samantha would have more then enough to clear Willy of the murder charges. Mathew read the crime scene report...and what he found out about Willy's health...there was no way a man like Willy Miles could have killed three healthy teenagers....two boys & a girl.

Mathew pulled his car into the parking lot...then after getting out he went inside going right upstairs. He opened the door to the office he shared with Samantha....seeing Nina sitting at her desk typing. " Hi Nina......is Sam back? " Mathew asked as he was already moving towards Samantha's office even thought Nina hadn't answered him yet. " Yeah Matt.....she came back a little while ago. " Nina replied as Mathew turned slightly giving her a wink before knocking on the door then entering.

Mathew stepped inside then closed the door behind him. " Well I've got enough for you to blow this murder case out of the water. " Mathew announced as he walked over placing the crime scene report & Willy's medical files from prison on Samantha's desk. While she looked at the information Mathew explained why the police were wrong.

Mathew pointed out that Eric Owens who was the first teen murdered was an athlete at Hollywood High School. Eric ran track....played basketball...and was the baseball teams star pitcher. Mathew explained that from the coroners report all of the teens where killed with a heavy object....which they said was a baseball bat. Mathew continued as he told Samantha that Eric was murdered 100 yards from where Jenny Carter & Tony Newman were killed. This would mean that Willy who suffered from asthma would have over powered Eric.....killed him with a baseball bat....then ran 100 yards to kill Jenny & Tony before they ran away....then he would have dragged all three bodies into the bushes. Mathew sat down in a chair in front of Samantha's desk with a wide smile on his face. " Doctor Young pointed out that Willy couldn't run 100 yards anymore.....his lungs have become so bad that it's just not possible. " Mathew added as the smile on his face turned into the " yeah I'm great " smirk on his face.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Samantha looked up at Matt and saw the smug grin she always saw when he thought he'd cracked the case. She decided she would play with him just a little. She looked thoughtful, kept the smile off her face and sat back in her chair, folding her arms.

"Ok Sherlock. Why couldn't he have killed Eric BEFORE Jenny and Newman came by. He kills Eric. Disposes of his body taking his time so as not to aggravate the asthma. Only then do the other two victims appear and he takes both of them at the same time? Second, how come the asthma was not picked up on his army medical? And most importantly... Why on earth would an innocent man admit to a crime he did? Perhaps we should be calling you Mycroft instead!"

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Mathew let out a deep and very long sigh.....it was all there in the medical files and the police report. He pointed out that Jenny & Tony were killed with in minutes of Eric's death.....this was a fact in the coroners report. So there would be no time for Willy to get rid of Eric's body before he killed the other two. Then he showed Samantha in Willy's prison files that his asthma went away as he grew older.....until he was exposed too all the toxic smoke....dirt and heat from the battlefield. This caused damage to his lungs which were never strong to begin with. His asthma returned and along with his battle fatigue was the reason why Willy was let go from service in the army.

Doctor Young's files on Willy also showed him to be depressed. Willy often spoke about being a failure in life....living in Hollywood where everyone seemed rich & famous and he was a loser who couldn't even help his own mother. " It should be obvious Sam....Willy was looking to get famous....somewhere in the back of his depressed mind......he thought he could get fame out of this murder." Mathew said as he leaned forward in the chair. " You've got all of that in those reports counselor......why ask me too read chapter & verse? "

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

"Matthew it would take me five minutes to get the corner to admit that he cannot be that accurate as to time of death. The asthma... I'll give you thai but I could still a couple of the jury to believe that it was very coincidental. And I'm sorry Matthew but who on earth told you that Willy wanted the attention and anted to get famous. Famous and dead is pointless. He wanted the security of an institution. A place where in fact he could HIDE and not have to think about anything. Not have to make a choice for the rest of his life... Other than that, we seem to be pretty much agreed." she smiled at Mat. "so, are you going to call Det. Grant and try and persuade him to let Miles go?"

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Mathew couldn't understand why Samantha was saying what she did...the fact that Willy was depressed and talked about being famous was in Doctor Young's files on him. Mathew pointed out that may killers over the years have grained fame and even fortune from their crimes....this had been done many times because the public always wanted to read about why these people committed their crimes. It was clear that Samantha couldn't see the big picture here and Mathew would have to solve this case on his own.

Mathew rose up from his chair.....he walked towards the office door then turned when Samantha asked if he was going to call Lt. Grant about Willy. " Nope......I'm leaving that to you......I'm going to find the real killer since there doesn't seem to be enough evidence for you to clear Willy of the charges. " Mathew said as he open the door then left.....he walked past Nina tell her that he was going back to high school. Nina looked at Mathew with a puzzled expression on her face. " Ah......okay Matt. "

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

"Mathew...." Samnthe got up quickly and followed him. "MATHEW! Wait a minute." He didn't and he was gone. Nina looked at Sam her expression effectively asking if everything was ok.

"Apparently not! He sends me out to chase up some psychiatrist and then doesn't like what he says. Because HIS psychiatrist says something different! And of course his psychiatrist just has to be the one that's right. And of course the fact that I told him the alternate explanation means that I'm being stupid. The stupid thing here is that it doesn't bloody well matter. Either theory can get Willy out... But for some reason he's clearly decided that I can't do my job and so he has to go and find the real killer." As she ranted, she walked back to her office with Nina following, and sat down. when she looked up and saw Nina there, she stopped and sighed.

"Sorry Nina. I know you and he... But sometimes he annoys the hell out of me."

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Nina was confused when Mathew walked away and Samantha exploded as she did......but then this wasn't really nothing new working in this office. She had seen them fight before......some times over small details but in the end they always made up. Nina looked at Samantha when she said " I know you and he " this made Nina tilt her head slightly then a playful smile came over her face. " Mathew & I are friends Sam........very close friends........maybe special friends if you'd like.......but we're not a couple. " Nina spoke softly as she moved acrossed the floor coming up too Samantha were she placed her hands onto Samantha's shoulders.

Nina Chambers....25 years old.....blonde hair ( long ) blue eyes....5 feet 9 inches tall......138 lbs. Nina is the typical California girl who loves the beach. Pretty with a great body.....she also has a mind and knows how to use it. She first started working for Mathew back in his early days as a PI... so she seen him in many moods. " Sam.....it's been terribly hot these last few days.....it's getting too all of us......Mathew just needs to release some stress. " Nina said as her hands began working at the muscles in Samantha's neck. " You seem too be a little over worked yourself.......maybe I can relieve your stress then when Mathew comes back we can help relieve his? " Nina said softly as a playful smile came over her face. Nina liked men & women.....she enjoyed the pleasures each could give. She always held a secret desire for Samantha.....and now she felt the time was right to let Smantha explore a new sexual world.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Samantha didn't pick up on the signals. Sometimes she could be somewhat naive to say the least. Add to that the fact that she was angry at Matt and a little hurt too (not that she would admit that) and she was probably never really going to see what was happening here... What was coming. She sat back in her chair, aware of Nina's fingers working into the tight muscles in her shoulders but thinking nothing of it beyond it was a friend being nice.

She turned her head a little and half looked up at Nina.

"Relieve his stress!? I think you might be on your own on that one sweetie." just at that moment, Nina's somewhat talented fingers found a particularly tight spot in her shoulder muscles and Samantha couldn't help but moan softly, biting her lower lip and closing her eyes as she relaxed a little more into her chair.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Hearing the soft moan from Samantha made Nina wonder if she should do something bold & daring. Nina was skilled in the art of giving a massage....in fact before she came to work for Mathew Nina worked at a massage parlor which catered to both men & women. " Well Sam.....I know for a fact that Mathew has the hots for you......he just hasn't told you yet. " While Nina spoke one of her hands moved from Samantha's shoulders to her neck where she massaged the muscles there then it was time to be bold.

Nina's other hand slowly slipped down from Samantha's shoulders. Her touch remained soft as Nina's hand glided over Samantha's upper chest then over her left breast where she stopped and massaged the soft fleshy mound. " You know I use to work at a massage parlor before coming here to work for you & Matt. " Nina said then she leaned down towards Samantha's ear. " I've taken care of both men & women in many different ways......I'd be happy to make you feel better Sam? " Nina's voice had become soft & seductive as she whispered into Samantha's ear then gave it a quick & playful kiss.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Without opening her eyes, Samantha giggled a little.

"Asking me out for dinner a few times doesn't exactly mean that he 'has the hots' for me as you so colourfully put it. And whether you are a couple or not, you are very good for him." As she felt Nina's hand move to her neck, Sam tilted her head a little to one side. "Gosh Nina, that feels..."

Samantha stopped mid-sentence and her whole body tensed as she became aware of where Nina's left had nw was. she opened her eyes and swallowed and then looked down, watching the long slim fingers and polished nails caressing and stroking and massaging. Samantha felt her nipple beneath immediately harden... Start to ache. Samantha had never had a massage before in her life. Was this what normally happened? if she over-reacted to this... and she couldn't deny that it felt good. Her body was already starting to tell her mind exactly how good it felt. She shivered a little as she felt Nina's breath at her ear, felt the soft kiss... Was that just Nina being friendly? Was this some American thing? A small voice inside her head new exactly what was happening, but at that moment, Samantha just wasn't sure. She lifted her head, turning it to look at Nina. She opened her mouth to speak and realised that her throat had suddenly become dry. She swallowed, then smiled.

"I...I didn't know that ... It sounds like a nice idea but surely you can't do that here though, I mean wouldn't you need a long table or something... And I'm sure we have clients due in this afternoon... Don't we?" Part of her hoped that the answers to her questions were no, but she wasn't entirely sure how she was going to respond if they were. She trembled a little as Nina's hand gently squeezed and caressed a little more.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Nina could feel Samantha's nipple becoming hard even through her bra...her body was responding to each touch of Nina's skilled hands. She let her other hand caress down over Samantha's upper chest until it reached her right breast. The playful smile on Nina's face became wider as Samantha spoke first about Nina needing a table then about whether they had clients coming in this afternoon. " Nope.....in fact you're free for the rest of the day......unless you have something better too do? " Nina replied as both of her hands worked over Samantha's soft breasts.

" We could always use your desk.....it long enough.....and easy to clean when we're done? " Nina again whispered as she was still leaning over then after a second kiss of Samantha's ear she playfully licked it. " I guarantee that you'll feel like a new woman after I'm done. " Nina's eyes seemed to sparkle as she spoke with such a sweet and soft tone in her voice......the softness was also to add pleasure for Samantha.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Samantha opened her mouth in a silent gasp and then moaned ever so softly as Nina's right hand moved down over the right breast.

"F...free for the rest of the day huh?" Samantha bit down gently on her lower lip and then let it slip slowly through her teeth. "I said I would let Mrs Miles know ...mmm... know about her son." she looked down at the desk. But for the file from the psychiatrist, there were no papers there. Just the lamp. The ink blotter pad. For some reason Samantha found herself trying to work out why er in fact the desk would be big eough; it was definitely not a small desk.

Samantha looked back to Nina. "New woman huh?... Are you sure... I mmmmmean .... I guess it would be... Ok"

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

" You'll have time too call Mrs. Miles after we're done Sam. " Nina said as her hands moved upwards then started to slowly unbutton Samantha's shirt.....one button at a time. " Sure it will be okay......you'll feel wonderful after I'm done pleasing you.....after all who knows more about pleasing a woman then another woman? " Nina added as her hands which had been unbuttoning Samantha's shirt were now done and her shirt was hanging open.

Nina pulled the shirt open even more exposing Samantha's breasts and the bra that covered them. Her hands moved again over Samantha's breasts.....gentle squeezing......touching & caressing each one. " Mmmmmm.....Sam your skin is so very soft & smooth. " Nina's voice still had the seductive tone as she spoke then she leaned over placing a kiss upon Samantha's lips.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

"I suppose I can. I mean I didn't say I would be there at any particular time." Samantha startled to chatter nervously as she watched Nina's hands leave her breasts and begin to undo the buttons to her blouse. It was done so carefully but with clear intent. Something in Samantha told her to get up out of the chair now. To tell Nina that this probably wasn't a good idea and that maybe they should just forget... But Samantha stayed in her seat. She didn't even squirm uncomfortably at this point.

"And I'm sure you are very good at this. Im sure it will mmmmake mmme feel very....How long did you do it for before you agreed to work for Mathew? Are you sure we don't have any clients.....ohhhhhh my. Nina, you know I've never... " All the time Samantha felt her body responding in ways she would never have imagined unless she was with a man. "Your...your hands feel... Very soft...mmmmmm too." As Nina leaned forward and kissed her, Samantha barely moved, but she didn't pull away. The kiss was soft and brief. But a second one came quickly and this time, Nina drew the tip of her tongue slowly along Sam's lower lip before bringing both of her lips to meet Sam's. The kiss was a little firmer this time but again Samantha did not pull back. With the third kiss, Nina smiled a little as she felt the merest hint of Samantha kissing her back.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Nina was enjoying the softness of Samantha's lips....their kisses were becoming longer & deeper each time. While continuing the kisses Nina slowly moved around until she was no in front of Samantha who was still sitting in her chair. A few more kisses came as Nina helped Samantha remove her top.....then Nina removed Samantha's bra freeing her beautiful breasts. Nina had begun to use her tongue...slipping it into Samantha's mouth...lightly licking and teasing Samantha's tongue while her hands stroked lovingly over her bare breasts. Nina moaned into the kisses as her fingers brushed over and around Samantha's hard nipples.

Nina used her body to spread open Samantha's legs.....then she let her right hand drop down pushing up Samantha's skirt. She then quickly removed her own top & bra letting her very nice looking 34C breasts out for Samantha too see. Nina wickedly smiled up at Samantha as both of her hands were now massaging Samantha's thighs.....they slowly worked they way upwards until the thumb on Nina's right hand stroked over Samantha's clit. " Why don't you take off the rest of your cloths......then I'll show you just what I can do......and you'll feel so much better afterwards. " Nina said as she turned around then quickly removed everything that was on Samantha's desk.....she then turned back towards Samantha. " Hope right up here......lay back and relax. " Nina's voice was still soft & seductive as she patted the top of the desk where she wanted Samantha too sit.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Samantha wasn't sure what was happening. She was sure she shouldn't be doing this but it felt very good and Nina tasted so good. She moved her body slowly allowing Nina to remove her blouse and bra. Now Samantha was reaching her head forward a little hungry for Nina's kisses. She jumped a little though when she felt her tongue move into her mouth but she didn't pull away. And soon their tongues were circling each other slowly. Samantha couldn't help but moan softly as both of Nina's hands returned to her tits...to her nipples which where so hard and erect now.

As Samantha's knees parted, she shuffled forward in her chair to allow the tight skirt to move with Nna's hands...hands which were so soft, fingers slender, caressing her thighs. She watched as Nina removed her own blouse and bra, chewing and licking her lower lip, still tasting Nina. Her skin looked so sift, tanned golden in contrast to her own milk white flesh. She smiled back nervously to Nina as her hands moved higher up her thighs spreading wider and then she gasped as the bolt of electricity shot through her when Nina drew her thumbs slowly over her clit. Sam knew she should stop this... But she couldn't. She ... Her body was enjoying every tiny touch and... she wanted it.

Then Nina stood and stepped away, suggesting Sam undress while she started to do the same. Samantha found herself obeying; standing, removing the rest of her clothes whilst watching Nina and then sitting on the table as Nina indicated and slowly leaning back. Samantha suddenly realised that perhaps her life was never going to be the same again.

RE: LA EYE'S ( Case of the Innocent Murderer ) ( Katy & Crimson )

Nina grinned at the way Samantha did as she was told....and did it quickly with out hesitation. It would seem that their roles had changed....moments before Samantha was in charge since Nina worked for her as well as Mathew....but now as their sexual passions grew Nina became the dominate one. Once Samantha was laying on the desk.....Nina spread open Sam's creamy white legs.....then she knelt down between them. Nina had the most sinful looking smile on her face as her tongue slipped from her mouth touching Samantha's thigh. She slowly worked her tongue along Sam's inner leg moving towards her womanhood. Nina's tongue danced over Sam's milky white skin of her inner thigh then when Nina was only inches from Sam's pussy she buried her face between Sam's legs.

Nina inhaled Sam's scent which made her moan which could be felt by Sam. She placed her lips against Sam's cunt softly kiss those lips as she did the others. Then her tongue slipped out like she had become a snake.....she tasted Sam's pussy juice which was being to form on the soft folds of skin. It was then that Nina's tongue licked upwards lightly passing right over Sam's clit....then she licked circles around it.
