The vacation had seemed to start out so perfectly, Lucas was on a luxury cruise with the rest of his family, his mother, his older sister, his twin sister, his younger sister and his younger brother. Their father had never been around, and their mother never really spoke about him, but things worked out fine for them. They were about a week into the cruise now, the entire family had been having fun, running around the ship, taking part in the various activities on-board, swimming, games, even just exploring the giant vessel. There had never been a dull moment, and this evening was to be no exception to that, though perhaps for a rather different reason. The storm had been worse than any that Lucas had ever seen, at first his biggest worry was just about getting seasick with the way the ship had been tossed around by the huge waves, but when the lights began to flicker and people began to panic things had changed quickly. The call went out for everyone to get to the lifeboats, fortunately there were plenty of them scattered throughout the ship, meaning that Lucas' family had a lifeboat all to themselves, all of them getting aboard quickly. Unfortunately however, their little lifeboat had been swept away in a completely different direction to the others by the waves, water washing over the family as they tried to just keep their boat above the surface.

By the morning the storm was over and the waters had settled, but the family had no idea where they were. It seemed at first like they might have been stranded in the middle of nowhere, but at least they had some kind of good luck, an island, the currents carrying them towards it, their boat gently washing up on the golden sandy beach.
"Oh man...I thought we were never gonna see land again!" Lucas practically leapt from the boat, letting out a sigh of relief. The sun was so warm on them, at least it meant his clothes were going to dry out a little after the cold ocean water had been washing over them all night. "Ok...we're gonna be ok. We just need to stay here and someone will find us eventually...." Lucas moved a little further inland as he glanced around. They would need to find food, fresh water...it seemed they would have those things in abundance. The island was a veritable tropical paradise! If they hadn't been stranded here it would've been an even better vacation spot than the cruise ship.

“nngg” a gentle murmur came from Lillith’s lips as the small lifeboat she and her children were in connected with the soft sand of a beach, the woman reaching up and pushing the Taraulin keeping them dry (mostly) off from over their heads averting her eyes as the bright sun shone down on her head, her platinum blonde hair that almost had a silver sheen blowing pleasantly in the wind as she stood up, Lucas seemed to be the first one to stir his mother smiling at him as he seemed to try and stay positive, that was always one of his good points, she seemed remarkably composed to say they were stranded… but the beautiful young mother actually knew a lot more than she was letting on… first things first though, she should wake the rest of the kids up.

“Come on, wakey wakey…” she giggled as she nudged at the largest and oldest of the children, Lillim sitting up and clutching her mane of purple hair as she looked around at the island “Hmm… where are we? The last thing I saw was us getting separated from the rest of the lifeboats” she mumbled out as a dash of fire red hair popped up next to her, standing up and climbing out of the boat with a happy sigh

“Honestly I’m just happy to be on dry land” the red haired girl murmured, Freya was her name Lucas’s twin sister and a girl with quite the rebellious streak as dictated by her fashion sense, her hair was not naturally red and she had dyed it a few months previously, a skull tattoo on her shoulder that seemed to wrap around it like a bracelet, her clothes quite punkish and thankfully for her they had survived the sea waters assault.

A small nervous sound came up next as a tiny young blonde haired boy with a rather feminine build stood up from the boat, his eyes blinking wildly as he stepped out and tripped, landing face first into the sand and rubbing his head with bright red cheeks, hoping none of his family saw his little fall “ow ow ow…” he mumbled out as the throbbing began to fade, glancing around their current location, it was Izzy, the youngest brother and also the youngest member of the family, slowly dusting himself off as he stood back up and looked into the boat, nudging the last family member who seemed to be dozing peacefully “H-hey… Noel it’s time to wake up.”

“zzz…nngg…. Five more minutes” the white haired young girl murmured as she curled up and seemed to drift back off to sleep, needing a few more pokes from Izzy before she would finally look up with a dozy expression, tilting her head confused at being woken up from her little cat-nap “…? Hmm? Where are we” she said with a small yawn, rubbing her eyes… Noel was the youngest of the female siblings and a bit of an oddball, going from hyper and energetic to sleepy at a moment’s notice, almost cat-like in her behaviour.

And with that the whole family were together again, the island itself seemed pretty impressive in its own right though, it seemed much like something you’d see in a magazine, with tropical jungles and fruits growing on the trees, a small river flowing from in-land to the sea that would no doubt grant them all the fresh water they needed… the most important thing for now though was probably finding shelter.

Lucas glanced back at the boat as the rest of his family began to stir. He had to stay strong for them, had to stay positive...if he started falling apart then the rest of them might as well. At least their mother was calm, her cheery attitude would help all of them really. It would help Lucas to stay strong and it would keep the others from getting too upset as well. He smiled brightly as his elder sister emerged from the boat first, followed by his twin sister Freya. She would probably be one of the strongest mentally...always the rebel, she was probably loving this already.
Ah his little brother...Izzy was something of a clutz...probably the most likely to panic, he was the one Lucas would need to keep the closest eye on, already hurrying over to help his little brother up. "Well, at least everyone is ok" He looked up at Noel, chuckling as she slipped in and out of sleep. Even the boat being tossed around hadn't disturbed her.

"Ok everyone" Lucas called out, trying to keep his voice assertive. He was nervous, scared, but he was hiding it well. "We're safe here, this island looks like it hasn't been hit by bad weather...the water looks fresh and there's plenty of fruit around" He walked between them all, still smiling, then grabbing the boat to tug it a little more securely onto the beach, they didn't want it washing away after all, if nothing else they could use it as a type of shelter.

"Now...everyone looks ok...though..." He looked over at Izzy, rubbing his head. "Izzy, your clothes are pretty busted...and that material is gonna shrink when it dries out" Lucas glanced around, grinning as he spotted several suitcases also washed up on the shore, many of them looking like they were watertight. "Aha! Izzy, why don't you try and bust open some of those suitcases? Maybe there'll be some more clothes you can wear" He nodded, folding his arms in an attempt to assert some small authority. "Now first thing we need to do is get a little food together. It looks like there's plenty of fruit trees right on the beach, so let's pick some and have something to eat. After being stuck on that boat we need to make sure we keep our strength up" Lucas gave his family an optimistic smile before moving to a nearby fruit tree. He had to jump just a little in order to reach the fruit, but it seemed just within reach for him, the large fruits snapping from the branches easily.
"Ok everyone" He turned around with an arm full of fruits, hurrying over to the family and handing them out. "It looks and feels perfectly ripe...." He sniffed at the fruit, then took a small bite. "Whoa...it tastes amazing too....and so juicy! Come on everyone, eat up ok? Even if you're not feeling very hungry you need to eat"

There was a moments silence as everyone took in the island around them, there was an air of expected nervousness and confusion surrounding everyone but many of the family weren’t exactly weak-willed so their wasn’t much panic, Lilith especially seemed remarkably calm as she folded her arms and seemed to be mulling something over in her head for a moment, the sisters slowly startin to look around, although Noel still seemed like she was sleeping whilst standing, Izzy was the one who seemed the most nervous, being the youngest sibling he was naturally the most shocked by their circumstances, the young blonde haired boys body shivering from the sea-water that had all but completely soaked his clothes, he’d not exactly gotten away completely unscathed, and he would doubtlessly get a cold if he kept wearing them.

However as his big brother came close he would be met with a soft and gentle smile, his soft hand grabbing his brothers as he was helped up to his feet, dusting himself off of sand as best as he could, nuzzling happily against his hand as his head was rubbed, the two brothers had always been pretty close, Izzy nodding as he told him about the clothes and glancing over at the cases he pointed out, it seemed a bit bad taking things that weren’t his, but in this sort of situation he didn’t really have much of a choice. The young blonde boy darting over to them and dragging them further asure to have a look inside, scratching his head as opened them up… dresses, blouses, stockings? These were all girl clothes… the young boy sighing as he took a few and began to get changed.

Lucas was being incredibly optimistic and positive which seemed to be doing wonders for most of the family as they looked over to him, their mother as calm and composed as she usually was as everyone else closed in together, Izzy joining them too after he had changed (and truth be told… he looked insanely adorable) the fruit he was offering them looked full and ripe and they were plenty big enough, each of them taking one and biting into it after he complimented the taste, the sisters and Izzy all going wide-eyed as they began wolfing the fruit down, Lilith giving an amused chuckle as she moved over to her eldest son and patted his back, whispering carefully in his ear “Good boy, a bit of positivity is just what everyone needed I think” the mother glancing over at everyone, Lilim was eating and scanning around with her eyes as she though, Freya was wolfing the fruit down quite aggressively, ‘rebellious’ and ‘table-manners’ didn’t usually go hand in hand, but at least she still had spunk, Noel still looked a little drowsy as she sat down on a nearby fallen trunk and began taking small bites from the fruit, Izzy jumping up next to her and eating as his legs swung back and forth a warm breeze hitting them. “Would you… mind coming with me for a moment Lucas, there’s something we need to discuss, it’s about everyone”

Seeing everyone relaxing a little, seeing how they weren't panicking, it made Lucas feel a little better himself as well. Truth be told part of the reason he wanted them to remain calm was so that he could remain calm too. If his family started to panic he wasn't sure he'd be able to keep it together himself either. When he returned with the fruit and saw his brother now wearing womens clothes he couldn't help but smile and give a gentle chuckle. "Don't worry, maybe some more cases will wash up and you'll be able to get something else to wear" Lucas grinned as he handed Izzy his piece of fruit. He was rather adorable in that outfit though...the boy had been somewhat feminine to begin with, and now...well...someone could be forgiven for thinking that Izzy was actually another sister rather than Lucas' brother.

Lucas looked up at his mother as she approached, smiling when she whispered in his ear. "Yeah...I couldn't let everyone just panic...we have to stay positive...I guess I just wanted to take care of everyone" He grinned softly, taking one last bite of his fruit. "Hm? Oh, sure mom" He nodded as she asked him to go with her. Before he did though he looked up at everyone, giving another reassuring smile. "Ok everyone, me and mom are just gonna go check a few things out ok? While we're gone, if you spot any fallen branches or anything be sure to gather them up and lay them out in the sun away from the water. That way we'll have some dry firewood incase we're still here tonight and we can get a great campfire going. It'll be just like camping" He gave his siblings a bright grin, before turning to head off with his mother, glancing up at her. "I'm sure we'll be ok mom, we'll be rescued soon and everyone will be fine, you don't need to worry about me"
