Aaron rolled his shoulders and rubbed at his tired eyes as he stepped out of the lecture hall for the final time that year. The exam had taken more than three hours, and he wanted nothing more than to go home and sleep for an entire twenty-four-hour span. Despite his exhaustion, relief was beginning to set in, though he still had the walk home to contend with.

He looked down to ensure his long coat was fastened, then steeled himself to step out into the chill winter evening. Just after five o'clock and it was already dark out, which meant any meager warmth the sun would have provided was also absent. The icy wind carried the shouts and laughter of some of the other students, those who had friends to celebrate alongside. Aaron had a friend here or there, but they had all finished their finals already and were headed home for winter break. So, he was looking forward to a month of solitude. It was no matter, really; he had enough projects to keep hismelf busy.

Head down against the wind, Aaron began to walk quickly, coat flapping around his shins. He would have run, but it was too dark to do so safely, and he feared patches of black ice from their last spill of winter weather. He moved down the paved sidewalks which had once been cobblestone roads, passing buildings centuries old that had been renovated to fit the needs of a modern university. It still had the look of an old castle in many ways, which Aaron had always found fascinating, but at present he didn't even spare a glance at the primarily stone structures. He could make it home in ten minutes at a brisk walk, and he didn't wish to extend that any farther.

The castle of course had remained empty for hundreds of years. It was a historical landmark and so it couldn't be torn down. All the occupants of the castle had died long ago, or so most believe. Emil Cervantes, was actually the sole survivor. But to society as it was now, he was long since dead. That's because he was a creature of darkness, of lore; a vampire. But really, who in their right mind would believe that there was a vampire living among them? It amused the man to no end to know that there were so many sheep up for the slaughter.

His favorite little sheep though, was Aaron. He had been haunting the delicious male for a little while now. Emil had become rather obsessed with him actually. There was just something about the other he just wanted to take for himself. Emil was not bad looking himself, standing at six foot, one inch he had broad muscular shoulders and strong defined muscles. Skin as pale as the moonlight and long warm brown hair. His brown eyes had long since brought on a red hue. He licked his sharp teeth in anticipation ready to feed on his little lamb.

But he knew he must wait. Time itself was no factor but the sun was blinding, and it burned his skin whenever he went towards it. The castle, was his dark home. But a tunnel lead to the apartments where Aaron live and he used the dark, dank passageways to travel to and from his home. Having the ability to walk through shadows helped as well as he didn't need to break into the apartment and he could continue haunting his prey.

By the time Aaron climbed the steps to his front door, his fingers were so numb that he had to fumble with his keys excessively to finally get the proper one in the lock and dart inside. His entire body shuddered when the door finally shut out the cold wind, and despite the cold he was sweating.

After taking a few seconds to pull some warm air into his lungs, Aaron took off his black boots and shed his bookbag and coat, then padded off on his socked feet toward his bedroom. He wanted a hot bath and then to curl up in bed; he could go without eating tonight.

Aaron turned on the hot water, then laid out a pair of sweatpants and a warm night shirt. He peeled away his clothing while standing in front of the bathroom mirror, though he wasn't looking at himself. His fair face was still red from the cold, but was slowly fading back to its porcelain pale. His medium-length black hair was in disarray after his walk home, and he absently combed it out with his fingers while waiting for the tub to fill. He normally wore loose-fitting clothes, but beneath his body was lithe and slender with little body hair to speak of. Lastly, set in that well-sculpted face were a pair of intelligent green eyes that currently expressed his fatigue.

At long, long last, Aaron was able to sink into the hot water, and his whole body seized with the drastic change in temperature. It pulled a sigh from him and he leaned his head back against the side of the tub, eyes shut as he soaked the warmth into his chilled bones.

Emil could feel him, his little lamb was home. The shift in the apartment where Aaron lived, he was glad that he was there. He stayed generally close to the apartment, to wait for Aaron to be back. Really he had nothing else to really do, he was old, and haunting his mansion brought on painful memories for him. Everything had been left in tact because he had never left his beloved castle, where the bones of his victims lay rotting away in his dungeon. Sometimes he viewed their decayed corpses, remembering their faces, but it brought him no joy. It was why he head his obsession. It certainly gave him something to do throughout the day, which was nice.

Sneaking into the apartment, he searched out his sexy little lamb and simply watched him. He was adorable. He could stare at that body for hours, simply to watch him. He often did. He would wait though, until he fell asleep, that was when he often liked to tease the younger male. He liked to whisper possessive things in his ear, telling him what he would do while he slept and stole just a little blood from him, feeding just a bit. He couldn't feed from him fully, but there were others he could simply drain. Generally, he took the dead bodies to his castle, no one looked there. No one thought to look there.

Sometimes, he got the occasional teenager that snuck into his castle thinking they could steal from him but he would often just kill them. Striking fear into them first before he would drain them of their live sustaining blood. Snapping from his thoughts he watched him, daring to get closer to Aaron but not close enough to let him know he was there. He just wanted to reach out and touch that soft skin...it was hard to stop himself but he remained in the shadows, as quiet as death.

It was happening again.

Aaron opened his eyes and looked toward the bathroom door, into the dark room beyond. Even as he did so, he knew he would see nothing, knew he was being foolish. It was just something about this old building that constantly made him feel... haunted, as if there was a presence, someone watching him and making the back of his neck and shoulders prickle.

Aaron drew a hand from the water to wipe it across his face, trying to banish the unreasonable knot in his gut. Ghosts did not exist. There wasn't a shred actual proof and he was not superstitious. Perhaps there was just something in the air here, or perhaps a problem with the wiring that created odd sensations. Whatever the case, he just started focusing on washing, scrubbing himself clean and letting the hot water take the rest of the chill away.

However, as he dried off and readied himself for bed, his mind drifted again. His sleep was often restless here, too. He had... odd nightmares, heard whispering and felt a phantom touch. So many times, he could swear he was awake, not dreaming at all, but when he truly awoke in the morning, there was never a single sign that anyone had been in his house. He always kept the door and windows locked; there was no way someone could get in so often without him noticing.

Well, he just had to hope his somewhat disturbed mind would leave him be and let him rest after a long, busy term. He took his nightly sleep aid, turned off his lamp, and crawled into bed, nesting down into the covers to let them trap all the heat they would. His muscles felt like lead and could not be happier for the soft mattress. As exhausted as he was, not even the creeping sensation could keep him awake tonight.

Emil would wait, as he always did until Aaron fell asleep. Creeping through the shadows he watched him for a bit in the bed. Oh his little lamb, what a delicious treat. One of these nights, he would possess him completely, make his presence known. But for now it was fun to wait in the shadows, to not be seen. It would be such trouble to have to hunt him down, to make sure he knew where he was. No it was much better for now, their little situation.

After about an hour he would move closer to the bed, climbing up on it gently, his weight dipping the bed down. It was actually very soft. Leaning down he would ghost his hand over Aarons sweet face as he leaned down to his ear. His skin would surely feel icy to the warm body below him "Sleep my little lamb, but soon your body will belong to me fully" he whispered to him. He would lick his cheek and along his neck before his fangs retracted as he sank them carefully into into his neck. A little venom that came from his fangs would numb the area so that Aaron wouldn't even feel him drawing from him.

Pulling a mouthful he swallowed the crimson liquid, feeling warmed from it. One more mouthful and he could feel the welcoming warmth spread through him like spiders crawling through his veins. Pulling from him slowly he leaned down and pressed his slightly bloody lips to the smaller male, before he licked the blood off of him. Aaron looked so angelic lying there...he just wanted to thrust into that body and possess him body and mind, make him his.

Aaron stirred only a little when the intruder joined him on the bed, but he didn't wake. He shivered when that cold tongue traced his ear and cheek and neck, but he didn't wake.

Then, the sharpness of the bite startled him, but though he woke, he was in a daze. The venom numbed him so quickly, that his sleepy mind wondered what exactly had awakened him. Then, it noticed the weight, the hand upon him, and he shivered again; this time, it wasn't from the cold.

It was one of those bizarre nightmares. Now that he thought on it, he might have heard the whispering. Aaron lay completely still as if playing dead to escape a predator. His breathing was quick, but his eyes stayed tihgtly shut, his mind desperately trying to fend off the nightmare from which he could never wake through force of will.

Emil noticed when Aaron stirred and his breath picked up. His little lamb was frightened of him. It was rather delightful actually, unable to help himself he would lean down again and slowly lick Aarons lips, before he would get up off the bed. Moving close to his ear one last time he whispered. "Just remember you're mine" before he moved away from him for a moment. He wanted to make sure that his victim was fully asleep again.

He got a little aroused just thinking what he could do to that body. More so then a little actually but he ignored his pressing erection for the moment. Just wanting to be close to him...running a now slightly warmer hand down he would ghost it over that thin frame and down towards his privates where he stopped. It was over the blankets at least, so he wasn't actually touching his skin, but he could feel every curve, and imagine what it would be like. One night, he would claim him. Soon, he had been waiting for the right time, and it seemed to get more and more every time he was there but..he couldn't help it.

Taking his hand away he would step back to the shadows. Poor thing was already frightened enough, if he got him to whimper he knew he wouldn't be able to resist touching himself.

Aaron slowly began to fall back into sleep, but not before rolling over onto his opposite side and curling up. Raven bangs slid in strands before his face as he snuggled deeper into his blankets, trying to banish the unsettling sensations. His breathing began to calm and he sank back into sleep, forgetting all about the strange whispers and the ghostly touches, unaware of the unseen eyes watching him like a hawk.

Emil was silent for a little bit longer as he watched Aaron slowly falling back asleep. He had a little time before he had to go and would crawl back up into the bed before slipping under the covers and curling up beside him. His erection pressing into Aaron's soft ass as he made sure to come in close, his arm possessively around him. He wonders briefly if Aaron was a virgin, and it delights him to think perhaps he could possibly be the first to take it form him. Snaking a hand under his own clothes he would adjust his erection so that it would be more comfortable between the two of them.

If he thrust in now of course it would wake him, and that would just ruin things. But for now, it was nice and he was closer then he had dared to get before, it was almost possessive like how much pull Aaron's body had on him. What a little minx his lamb was. Once he would adjusted his hand would go back around Aaron. Of course, he couldn't stay as long as he wanted..not with that blasted sunshine. If it didn't burn and blind him he wouldn't mind but it did.

Light sleeper as he was, part of Aaron was aware of the body curled around his, the arm around his middle, the hardness pressed against him. He didn't wake, but it started to effect his sleeping mind. He shifted in Emil's grasp, which caused the other's erection to press a little harder against him. This drew a soft noise from the young man, a moan so quiet that it would not have carried beyond the two of them had there been anyone else around to listen.

On this night, without the sharp pain or cold tongue to properly wake him, Aaron responded very differently to the uninvited presence. He shifted to get closer, to settle deeper into the arms holding him, as if they would warm him and protect him from the evil that had visited him only minutes before.

Feeling the warm body pressing into him, Emil was not expecting it. That little moan, it was intoxicating. He wanted Aaron suddenly he realized but it was much too soon. Rocking against him he pushed into that soft ass. Leaning his head down he would kiss him on his shoulder, the smaller body before him was so warm and he wanted more of it. He wanted a little more then it was and would even graze his teeth over the shoulder, just gentle. His fangs were retracted so he wouldn't hurt him but he didn't mind leaving little teeth marks in his shoulder. He said nothing of course to him about it but he would continue rocking against him. This was getting further then it usually did.

That repeated back-and-forth motion fueled the primal urges in the young man's body, effecting his thoughts and half-conscious dreams. Another moan escaped him and he clutched at the arm holding him as if to keep it there. Tingling warmth spread through his body, centered in his abdomen and at the base of his spine. His pulse quickened, the blood the intruder desired so much flowing down into his center. His was very quickly aroused, breath hot and heavy. He was more awake now, but didn't even realize it.

That arousal..oh his little lamb was a little naughty. It was pleasing that he enjoyed this but, he didn't want him to wake up. So as much as he wanted it he stilled the rocking for a moment. Instead he would reach down and rub his hands over Aaron's member, wanting to feel his hardness. He wanted to have him, to taste everything but too much and he'd wake up. What a dilemma! Instead he focused on that, perhaps he could do this without waking the other up. Not realizing that he was more awake then he was.

Aaron took in a hiss of breath at the pressure on his groin, then began to grind himself against the oh-so-helpful hand. His head moved back on the pillow, the back of it leaning against the shoulder of the man holding him. Ah, what a pleasant dream of a lover in the dark! He had never done this before, but surely this was what it would really feel like, if someone were truly there holding him, touching him, bringing him pleasure he could only ever get from himself. Sure, it was strange, but it was a dream! It didn't matter!

Another sweet moan escaped Aaron's parted lips, louder this time, telling of how he was coming closer to his building release. His member twitched against the hand touching it through the fabric of the sweatpants, solely responsible for Aaron's eagerness, as his mind played no part in this, keen as it was.

Such eagerness. Emil liked that. He could feel that twitching and he would continue to rub his hand over him, darting to dip under his clothes right against his flesh, stroking him and pulling on him trying to get him to release. That soft velvet skin...Aaron had to taste divine, his blood already was amazing. One night he would taste him, all of him. Oh how he wanted that to be that night. "That's right my little lamb, give into the pleasure" he purred to him softly.

He wouldn't get any release himself this way. But, if his Aaron would that would be just fine. The time would come eventually and he would claim him, all of him. The plan was by then, to get him craving his touches, and he could very well. The next night would surely be different, they weren't all the same.

Aaron whimpered and strained, desperately seeking a release for the built-up pressure. Then, it finally hit him, and his body quivered with relief and delight. He spilled himself hot over Emil's hand and his mind spun as his muscles went slack.

Then, clarity slowly began to creep to the forefront. Confusion, then a slowly building anxiety. Aaron began to go from relaxed and satisfied to tense and rigid.

Someone was there. There wasn't supposed to be anyone there. Was he dreaming....? This didn't feel like a dream...

Feeling Aaron's body tense after being so relaxed Emil would slowly pull his hand away while he licked the delicious cum off of his hand where it had spilled over. There was no real time to savor it. Yet. No he would do that on his own time. Seeing as how he would risk it if he woke up he would pull away from that tempting body and off the bed before melting into the shadows. There he could still see him but he could not be and that was better. For now.

From his hiding place he would slowly lick the remaining creamy substance off of his hand, savoring that unique taste. It had been a very long time since he had taken on another lover, especially male but it would be a wonderful time. He imagined that body was tight, and hot and he would savor each pleasure filled cry..it was exciting him to just thinking about how many sounds he could make his little lamb cry out. How many times he could make him cum before he passed out...

As soon as Aaron felt the pressure lift, he rolled onto his back and stared around in the darkness. His breath was quick again, but this time from fear, not pleasure. His eyes scanned the room, but they slid right past the creature watching him, unable to penetrate the shadows. Heart hammering, Aaron flung the covers off and moved to turn on the light. Surely the vampire was quick enough to avoid notice even as many of the shadows dicipated, so still Aaron saw nothing. He checked the window, then went into the living room to look around.

When he found nothing, he leaned against a wall, shaking. It had felt so real... He was so sure someone had been there... been... with him, but that made no sense. There was no way they could have gotten in! No way they could have disappeared so quickly.

Swallowing hard, he made his way to the bathroom to clean up, trembling as he removed the soiled sweatpants to change into a fresh pair. When he did this, he closed the bathroom door. It was foolish, but the feeling of eyes on him was stronger than it had ever been. His reflection in the mirror was much paler than usual, and his hair was flattened to his face with a sheen of sweat.

...Am I losing my mind?

Seeing him up and around Emil had moved out of the way quickly enough, making sure to hide in a darker part of the room. He didn't want to leave Aaron just yet. Pretty much under the bed had the most darkness. But he could feel him, he could see him. No bit of furniture was going to be getting in the way of being about to see his little lamb. He was still hard too, his erection pressed against his own clothes. Silent, he moved about, watching him check the rooms. Of course he wouldn't find him.

He let Aaron have his moment in the bathroom alone, looking as if he needed to calm down for a moment. It was understandable really, a stranger ghosting about his apartment, doing nasty things to him while he slept. He would have been frighted had he been a mortal as well. But so long ago, he was superstitious. It wasn't as if he was always a monster, no he was made into this and he would be forever. The sleep he didn't miss but the hours were long simply toiling away in his castle.

Perhaps one day he would let Aaron into his world. But that was a long way off.

Aaron spent a long time in the bathroom collecting himself, pulling in deep, controlled breaths to keep himself from panicking. He was by nature an anxious person, and these... dreams? nightmares? Well, they were starting to weigh on him. Tonight especially was making him question either his safety or his sanity.

He straightened up, splashed cold water on his face, then looked at the closed door. he didn't want to go out there. The very idea filled him with dread. He stood there for a long time, then sighed and shook his head to try and clear it. He was being stupid, but even so, he took in a breath to brace himself before stepping out into his bedroom.

The back of his neck prickled and he looked around, but as usual, nothing was there. He clutched at the front of his shirt in something like a self-embrace as he walked back to bed. This time, he practically hid himself beneath the covers, and not to keep in the heat. Maybe it was childish, but no one could see him...

...Right?

Emil would wait, patiently. He had no time for him to wait forever and he wanted to see his little lamb before the sun came up and there was no time for him to. Even hiding under the bed like a child, Aaron was still a tempting creature. The light would have to go off and there would have to be more ideal settings for him but..he would wait as long as he had to.

He had enough room to go home if he needed to. At least the walk back would be long and dark as the tunnel that lead there was pretty much underground and he could use the shadows of the building to sneak all the way into the apartment. He had found it on accident too, just one night looking for fresh victims to take back with him. And seeing him lying there...Aaron had been so peaceful..

But now..now he was hiding. It was because of him. It didn't disturb him how it should.

Aaron did eventually get back to sleep, but he slept fitfully and woke shortly after sunrise. He lay in bed for a long time, hoping he could sleep a bit longer, but it wouldn't come. Finally, with a sigh, he dragged himself out of bed and headed into the living room. He had a cup of yogurt for breakfast and then just flopped down on his couch to stream some movies, having no desire to do anything productive.

After a few movies back to back, he decided he couldn't spend all day being lazy and went to take a shower. Afterward, he sat at his computer and opened one of his many projects. With a large cup of coffee beside him, his fingers flew across the keyboard, producing line after line of code. He slowly became absorbed in his work, despite how he hadn't had the motivation to really get started. Before he knew it, his apartment was completely dark again, the light from the computer screen the only illumination. Only a loud and painful rumble from his stomach reminded him he hadn't eaten, and he reluctantly saved his work and moved to make himself dinner.

He had successfully kept himself distracted all day, but now his mind was free to wander. He tried not to let it, tried ot stay focused on algorithms and new features, but he kept glancing over his shoulder and feeling an unsettling weight in his gut. Paranoia: the last thing he needed.

Emil eventually had to leave, of course. He couldn't stay the whole time, but he knew he would be back. He had slipped back through the shadows and made his way to the tunnel that connected the two buildings. He had been left with a thirst he needed to quench before he went back to his little lamb. He hadn't fed that night and his stomach growled at him for it. He could feel he was tired and needed the energy it would give him.

Remembering that he had one victim left he would head back to his castle. It didn't take him long to get back to the dark, dank castle. It was in long need of repairs but he kept up on it what he could. Every once and a while, someone from the state would come in and fix it up, make sure the structure didn't crumble. Using one of the secret passages he would head down further to his dungeons, passed the bones of the forgotten to where his freshest kill was waiting for him. The body wasn't nearly as warm but he didn't care. A few days dead the young woman was just getting to the point where it wasn't fresh but he didn't care as his fangs elongated and he ripped into the dead flesh, with his teeth drinking the last of her blood down. After draining her he took the body and would dump it down the ever growing hole of bones never to be seen again.

Ah but what a waste of youth it was. Oh well. He had his fresh little lamb waiting. After killing a few more hours, simply walking about his dungeon he would head back to the tunnel that connected the buildings. It would be a nice slow walk, really taking his time. He needed a new body to take with him. Another victim to slowly drain through the next few days. They lasted longer, like raising pigs for slaughter.

Back in Aaron's apartment, he would wait in the shadows again, waiting for his little lamb to get ready for the night.

After dinner, Aaron wound down with another movie, then spent a little while on the phone with a friend. Said friend lived in Germany, and Aaron usually spoke German in order to practice the language when speaking with this particular friend. He did so on this night, and they discussed casual things: school and exams and the latest episodes of Internet series they both watched.

Then, with a slowly mounting dread, Aaron headed into his bedroom to change and wash up before bed. He took longer than usual to brush his teeth and wash his face, but eventually it was time to take his medication and crawl into bed. He tried hard to let his mind go to anything else, as surely dwelling on his nightmares would make them more likely to return, but with that creeping sensation nagging at him again, it was impossible.

It took two hours before he finally fell asleep.
