The General basis of this is that you are playing you. You make a character based on yourself, with the same advantages and disadvantages that you see inside you. The basics of it are rather easy.

Strength: How strong you are, being able to lift and carry stuff. Also how hard you can hit something with your fists or weapons.
Endurance: How much punishment your body can take, from getting hit, to stamina with running and carrying stuff
Dexterity: How fast you can go, natural reflexes, etc
Intelligence: How smart you are, and your ability to learn and share what you know.

You also have skills. You can list whatever you want as a skill, and levels of skills can be based on how long you have done it, classes, etc.
After skills you put whatever your advantages and disadvantages are, as well as abilities.

Program: Can use any console/computer to get the information available from it. Can also use it for communication.
Chemical Mind: Can use stable/volatile chemicals for combat purposes.
Aim: May use a turn to aim weapons for a better chance to hit.

Advantages:
Fast fingers: Is able to quickly operate machinery and controllers/keypads.
Dual Wield: Is able to use both hands for weapons and tools.
Charmer: Females will not attack him unless he is the last target available, or provoking (undead are immune).

Disadvantages:

Blurry Mind: Explaining one's thoughts is difficult. All actions involving explanation of non-skill topics takes a extra d6 turns, and risks being misunderstood.

Seems like an interesting idea. How do you calculate the numbers though? Is there a certain system we can go by? Like is there a bank of points (Say 30 for example) we can distribute among the 4 major attributes? And is there a bank of points for the minor skills as well? And is there a limit to the ammount of different skills you can have? It would keep everyone from making a character that is all powerful.

Also, are we allowed to exaggerate a bit for the sake of fun? Not saying anything ridiculous like "Oh yeah...my power level is over 9000 and I can shoot lasers out my eyes!" XO But it would be kinda boring to be overly realistic about our characters.

Also, for the sake of fairness, for each advantage you have, you MUST list a disadvantage. I'm all about checks and balances. XD

The point of this is to make a character that is as close to you in real life as possible. Stats can go up to 20, and skills go to level 12. You can have as much skills as you think you have in real life.

And I suppose you can exaggerate a little bit. Hell, there are some weird senarios that i'm throwing in.

But your character is suppose to be YOU, so you make you with how you think you are.

Ah, so it's based on the honor system. I sure hope nobody with a big ego comes through here. XD

"Oh yeah all my stats are maxed out and I have so many skills, you can't deny how awesome I am! ;D "

I'm just in favor of a more fair approach...just draw some guidelines for people to fall into. Regardless, I like the idea and will begin pondering my character.

I'll deny any outlandish characters. And If you looked at my character... :p

Haha right. But you just don't know how truthful people will be. A system would help make sure people will be as honest as possible, and more thoughtful about what attributes/characteristics they decide to list.

The point of it is that you are free to make your character, and that the older you are, the more you have at your disposal. But yes, I will limit it myself, of course. But for the most time, it's open.

Name: Stephen (Nicknames: Steve, Stevie, Stevo, Shovel)

Age: 20 years old
Class: Bard
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Appearance: Stephen is of Irish and German heritage, possessing long blonde hair , pale blue eyes, and fair skin. He stands at almost 6 feet tall and has an average looking body, which is lightly speckled with moles and grows very little hair. Usually, Stephen dresses for comfort, wearing a simple dark colored t-shirt, blue denim jeans, and tennis shoes. On occasion, Stephen likes to dress up to express his individuality by wearing dark colors, studded bracelets, necklaces, exquisite hats, and a pair of black Converse sneakers.

Personality: Having a sanguine personality, Stephen is optimistic and trusts others quickly, and will continue to until given a reason not to. He likes to make others laugh and smile, making him a natural comedian. His charismatic, laid-back, and outgoing personality make him easy to befriend by almost anyone. However, Stephen possesses a quirk where he doesn’t enjoy making people uncomfortable and if he senses discomfort will back off fairly quickly. Sometimes this leads to misunderstandings when meeting people who are shy. And sometimes it prevents him from taking initiative. Stephen is happiest when everyone else is having fun and non-confrontational, making him a neutralist and non-interventionist. His appreciation for such things as computers, video games, and science fiction makes him out to be a little on the nerdy side and is often referred to by others as a “Cool Nerd”.

Unfortunately, Stephen is far from perfect. Stephen is sloppy, disorganized, and less ambitious than most people. Stephen would much rather play now and work later. He also tends to not take life seriously and laugh at anything even when highly appropriate, which means he won’t get along with people who are easily offended.

When it comes to beliefs, Politically, Stephen considers himself to be libertarian and believes in both personal and economic freedom. Closed minded people usually do not get along well with him. He is agnostic, and though doesn’t care if you practice a religion, tends to avoid it and reacts negatively when someone attempts to convert him. When it comes to relationships, Stephen is at a stage of exploration and experimentation. At this time, he would rather mess around with friends than take on a serious relationship. His personal motto on this matter is “If I’m going to be tied down, I better enjoy it”.

Would love to join Raziel, but I would be an epic fail. On a good day I can walk a straight line without falling down. So unless one can turn being constantly dizzy into a super offensive power :( (laughs at self)

>.> You have no idea how many times in a RPG with friends that a ditz tripped and hit the switch to move on.

You also have no idea how many times one tripped and stabbed themselves with a infected needle.

To start with. May update as needed.
