NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) is held every year during the entire month of November. The challenge is to write a novel in 30 days, starting no earlier than November 1st and having to stop on November 30th (though, of course, being a 'self imposed challenge' one can write for longer... it's just a means of tracking word count, etc).
Since this is a writing site, it's fairly well known that a decent number of members participate in this challenge. As such, we thought it would be great to show our support and even give feedback if it's desired.
That said, a small contest of sorts will be posted shortly over in 'Contests' where people can submit excerpts of their novels for NaNoWriMo, letting members choose their favorites and, if desired, requesting feedback from whoever would like to give some. The submissions will all be done anonymously. And please, if giving feedback, refrain from flames. This is for serious constructive criticism. So, if you can't say something helpful, please do not post anything. Thanks in advance.
